This would be such a good game if it wasn't so gay
Frick cutscenes
Frick story
Frick forced walking sections
Frick stupid scripted hunts
Frick scoutflies
Frick 1/1 players until you get to a fricking cutscene and then other people can join
Frick daily login bonuses
Frick the Defender cheat gear
Frick the Tard Handler
And frick the Serious Handler in her vegana and cum inside
I lost all the will to continue playing after the story ended.
Story gives you an idea of progress. You're doing the same shit over and over in MH, but World was the first one I could finish because I felt like I was actually getting somewhere in the early parts.
I like the idea of story, cutscenes and dialogues in MH but World made them cringe, infantile and Disney-Marvel'd
Handler is super infantile
Tri/3U is how you should write a MH game
4U story is also cool. i really liked the idea of chasing SOMETHING across the old world.
like a grand hunt filled with small hunts
Can't believe I missed out on this design because male armors usually look cooler, this >>>>>>>> gay vampire set
hate all the gay slopes on all the maps, shit is so cramped and awkward. ancient forest is an abomination
I hate the ancient forest so much it is unreal
MH4 is insanely superior to this slop.
The last true MH game.
Wilds be the peak of MH
We have seen literally 90 seconds of footage
wilds handler will be a feminist
and that is a good thing!
what do (you) want to see from Wilds?
it's already obvious it's gonna be open world so no zones 4 u
Man, a giant Guiding Lands with massive biomes and no returning to base (other than some established Gathering Hub for meeting up and building gear) but instead a big world with multiple camps that you can drop into and just hunt endlessly for hours....frick me if that doesn't sound great.
I don't think it'll be anything that cool but it would be so fricking nice if it could.
Preferably no mounting, a combat gimmick that isn't too intrusive and a varied roster of monsters.
monster taming since mounts are confirmed. if i can fly around on a rathalos in a full set of his gear mon hun will have officially peaked for me as a series
guaranteed food buffs when using a ticket.
water combat
wrong answer
correct answer
>Varied roster
>Subspecies being made to stand part from base forms
More so than just pallete/element swaps, I'd like to see new moves, different behaviors etc
>Unique models for all gear
>Particle effects in some end game gear
Zinogre LS from rise is a good example of a way to do this tastefully. Helps differentiate the really endgame legend weapons
>Better game balance for gear
Some weapons just always feel inferior to others. If you are going to have 4 ice weapons, make me want to pick them for reasons other than pure aesthetics. Especially if those reasons are flavorful to the monster
>Monsters react to broken parts more
Nerfing a monster because you've broken a part is really cool and we should have more
>No mounting
Actual monster variety. World's roster is so fricking bad it isn't funny
World's roster was great and I'm tired of pretending it's not
I'm tired of the same old flagship circlejerk every game, the mishmash of monsters from 4 different generations with different design philosophies, I want a game where the entire monster roster feels cohesive and unified in its aesthetic and design intention
>World's roster was great and I'm tired of pretending it's not
DUDE RATHACLONES (FUZZY PIECE OF SHIT? CHAMELEOS WANNABE BECAUSE THE DESIGN TEAM HADN'T SEEN A SINGLE MONSTER DESIGN BEFORE THE IB TEAM TOOK OVER? WOW!!!)
DUDE ZAMTRIOS CLONES BUT DOGSHIT
DUDE PINK T-REX (THAT SPITS FIRE!)
UUUUUUUHHHHHHHHH NEW FANGED WYVERN SKELETON? (and only one gets to be interesting, and it's not the gay squirrel ripping off nargacuga but with lightning)
WOWOWOWOW! ZINGZANG BINGBANG WHAT A GOOD ROSTER!
Yes.
Uh oh, someone's throwing a meltie.
Nah, worldbabs don't get to have an opinion on roster quality when their roster is full of samey fights.
Underwater
And if it has to be open world, please don't arbitrarily cut off parts of the world; please let me stumble upon settlements (Pokke)/monsters without the game guiding me to them one at a time
I'm not sure if I want the strongest monsters to be available from the start though, since I will go for them and will spend an hour killing rathalos with a bone weapon and then steamrolling the game
>it's already obvious it's gonna be open world so no zones 4 u
>it's probably just Rise maps but larger
cretin
BLOOD
NOT DUST
NOT PEBBLES
I DEMAND BLOOD
>DD2 style mounting where you can move and use your regular moveset
>Lots of interesting skills that actually change the way you play
>Sunbreak SnS, replace backhop/perfect rush with DD Hindsight slash
>Unfrick the longsword
>No Crutch Claw
>Skippable cutscenes
>No RNG decos. RNG charm if the game has to have an rng time sink
>Risebreak level tracking on Monster
>Portable Endemic Life
>Nice looking meals, but use the dango system for food buffs
>Offline lobbies
There's probably more, but that's a start.
It will not if it doesn't have (modernized) water combat
It will if it has (modernized) water combat
simple as
Good list, OP. Let me add slap-on weapons to it.
Despite all this, there are no bad MH games, World is fine
Out of all the complaints his is the only one that can't be fixed with mods
https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/5091
i agree with your points, but it's still a good game
>And frick the Serious Handler in her vegana and cum inside
Yes.
There's a mod to skip cutscenes.
Otherwise, yeah, the progression is really painful, especially if you're trying to bro-op. I liked the story itself, but my friend is trying to migrate to PC and replaying the base game to do it and it's tedious as shit. I don't know why they built it this way, but at least they fixed it in Rise so hopefully it will be in Wilds.
Defender gear is fine for the above example, honestly. It sucks a little that some morons try to wear it into MR but otherwise the fact that it exists is fine. I was glad for it in Subreak so I could rush through Rise and get to the good content.
>Frick the Defender cheat gear
No idea why they didn't give it the MSGV chicken hat treatment. At least make it LOOK like a clownsuit, damnit.
>And frick the Serious Handler in her vegana and cum inside
Do NOT cuck the irrelevant redhead dude.
And if I may I add.
Frick CRAPCOM for releasing with Denuvo. I wanted the game since the announcement, but ultimately waited till they remove it, then got the game on sale. Bunch of moneyhungry pussies.
>Frick CRAPCOM for releasing with Denuvo. I wanted the game since the announcement, but ultimately waited till they remove it, then got the game on sale. Bunch of moneyhungry pussies.
They will release both Dragons Dogma 2 and Wilds with that cancer and then replace it with a shitty DRM that doesn't stop piracy but fricks with mods when the Shitnuvo license expires
I hate the state of this industry
>Denuvo
Man, just fricking get over it. You're not benefitting yourself in any meaningful way by doing shit like that.
>Denuvo
I disagree with that other anon, stick to your guns. Don't get over it.
Defender is based because it gives shitters a crutch through LR and then they get filtered in HR for over relying on gear
Story and cutscenes can be done well in MH, just look at 4U
My main complaint? Input reading
this isn't fromslop
Fromsoft input reading is far worse, especially since they tried to cope monster hunter AI in elden ring. But that still means monster hunter uses input reading
Try not getting juggled when your apm gets too high
>input reading in a game with tank controls
This isn't true, right?!
Not as much. My understanding is that monster aggro can be pulled by doing actions like sharpening and healing, but it's not quite like FROM style input reading where it will stop what it's doing to perform a specific counter to what you're doing.
Nah it's the exact same shitty AI, because fromsoft copied mhw with elden shit. Fromsoft is just more blatant with it in elden ring because they didn't playtest the game.
>Nah it's the exact same shitty AI, because fromsoft copied mhw with elden shit
What does this even mean? FROM didn't bust into Capcom's offices and copy Monster Hunter code. FROM has had input reading in its games for ages, that's nothing new to ER.
Please show me an instance of a monster interrupting an attack to react to something the hunter is doing, actively dodging attacks from the hunter as soon as they're initiated, or using a specific animation to counter a hunter's input consistently.
There is absolutely nothing in MHW that resembles true input reading.
So I was playing iceborne last night fighting a barioth. The first time I fought him I was in maxed out defensive gear and the barioth juggled and then nearly one shot me with an input read "skypunch" because I was in its face doing too many inputs. The main take-away from the fight was how aggro it was.
Later I joined a multiplayer session fighting barioth with a lance, only I couldn't get aggro at all. This is because another player was doing a higher DPS than me, kind of defeats the purpose of having a defensive weapon. I chased and chased and chased the barioth down, stabbing it in the face but it never aggroed onto me for more than a second or two. Finally I stoon in its face stabbing it and it did the "skypunch" and nearly one shot me (something it hadn't done the whole fight). Then we killed it with relative ease.
See the barioth was so distracted by other players because they were using no-no inputs, while I was only using the standard a/b jabs. Similarly when the barioth one shot me the first time I was using charges with the hammer and using jump attacks. But the game doesn't care as much if you're using basic attacks.
its well known that monster hunter is MUCH easier online, so long as you're not the most aggro one in the room
You completely ignored my entire post you brainrotted moron
thats literally the only take away
No the take away is it's the same AI system in elden ring. Aggro is determined by DPS and which inputs you're using, which results in tunnel visioned monsters/bosses spinning around to one shot you
>Barioth performed a close range attack when I was in its face
>It didn't do it when I wasn't in its face because it was torn between two targets
>When I forced my way into its face, it did that attack it does when I'm in its face
Clearly input reading, Barioth is a dirty cheager
>barioth used rare one shot attack only when it shifted aggro to punish a player then goes back to ignoring the player's existence
>the only other time it uses this attack is if it sees you're still attacking during its rampage as a combo extender
hmm, elden ring anybody?
What is an "input read skypunch?" It sounds like it just attacked you.
it's its hardest hitting attack which does 95% of your HP with 500 defense
Sure, but what's that have to do with input reading?
Also, 500 defense isn't much. Are you wearing MR gear and have it upgraded?
Like many monsters and elden ring bosses they have attacks that are rare that they only really use when input reading
If you're just inputting the same few inputs over and over, what input is it reading to trigger the attack in your case? Why is the attack rare? Can you consistently trigger it with the same input?
>If you're just inputting the same few inputs over and over
basic attack inputs don't aggro bosses, especially if you're not doing as much damage, I also think it's probably weapon specific with certain weapons having inherently less aggro. Like sword and shield having virtually no aggro
Drawing aggro isn't input reading.
You must be mentally moronic, the point is that certain movesets have higher aggro, higher input reading
Next he gonna said some moron press a button hitting nothing a miles away from monster and called it an agroo input reading.
If you're talking about Frostfang Barioth's big attack that he always does if he sees you're stuck in ice i'll smack you.
Here's a breakdown of the individual moves it does and some advice and how to identify and dodge them. If you could, please also identify for us which move you're referring to. There's names and timestamps in the pinned comment.
Going to point out that the anon talking about the "skypunch" hasn't mentioned Barioth at all since I posted and asked what move it was specifically. Hopefully that's just because they decided to do a little research of their own and move on.
I don't think that guy knows what input reading is to begin with
I was trying to be optimistic, but I don't think they understand the concept of samegayging, either.
It's when you talk to yourself because you're not getting attention
if you blew out your brains I'm sure society would benefit
because you're a mentally moronic samegay
I started using the same trick to get aggro.
>Oh, I was trying to drop this boulder on teostra but it ran away chasing the lame ass dual blades user who keeps chugging megapotions.
lemme just start sharpening my blade real quick and...BAM... Teostra is upon, flinh me and start charging his Nova in less than 1.2 sec.
Frick Teostra and Lunastra. c**ts.
>lemme just start sharpening my blade
Yup, I did this last night with kushala when it was flying and it ignored everyone and came and landed near me and I beat the shit out of it
Monsters in Monster Hunter are constantly acting and will string attacks together in a consistent and predictable manner, choosing who to target and how based on their state when the attack/combo starts. Enemies in Elden Ring will sit there and wait until the INSTANT you press a button to perform a counter to what you just pressed (dodge if you attacked, attack if you dodged/healed, etc.) opting to do literally nothing much of the time if you don't act first. It's completely different.
Dumbfrick. There's 0 input reading in MH.
All the AI does is take your current character location to pick which move to use based on distance and angles.
This is real fun when you fight Zin with lance.
A solid minute of paw slams.
Play Rise and tell me there isn't inout reading LOL
There's no input reading. Fricking mouthbreather.
>enemies in a video game react and change their behavior based on your actions
>salty morons call it "input reading" and shit up elden ring threads with their new buzzword for months
Don't try to bring this garbage to a different series.
It wouldn't be so bad if you couldn't literally orbit monsters in multiplayer without taking aggro
Elden Ring does ACTUALLY have input reading though. It's why spells with delayed attacks will be instantly dodged by enemies who then will just stand there and get hit when the spell actually comes out, or they'll interrupt their attacks pattern as soon as you begin to heal. Well, in Elden Ring's case it's actually animation reading. Zullie goes into it in one of their videos.
In MH's case, all it does is change who has aggro when you perform certain high aggro value actions, similar to an MMO. It's not remotely the same.
>their
>Complaining about people saying that ER input reads
you didn't play Elden Ring, and likely just watched it
Elden Ring input reads to a hilarious degree. You can go back to DS3 or BB and the difference is plain as day how different the AI reacts to the player using items
>Frick cutscenes
The cutscenes in MHW and how you couldnt party with other people unless they saw the cutscene too, that shit almost made my kidneys shut down
The fact that you can't skip the cutscenes is honestly part of the reason why I simply just don't go back to this game. The monsters getting a small intro movie or even ecology would be nice but the whole movie-simulator please watch this uninteresting cutscene is just awful. Like unironically the creator of this franchise should know this is bad. It's quite literally something he personally detests so what gives? Why force people to spend 10 minutes watching garbage they don't care for? Especially if you've already done it once before.
As mentioned above, there's a mod for it. If you haven't finished it, I recommend it. Iceborne has some genuinely incredible hunts.
>You can mod this fundamental design flaw!
>Don't you want to use the clutch claw everyones favourite gimmick again?!
You can mod out the clutch claw, too.
>Never ending complaining of the 1% part from a 2k hours gameplay.
Literally filtered
Tendies will never stop seething about MHW.
KEK, people really did go back to the true Monster Hunter after the failure that was rise.
>people really did go back to the true Monster Hunter
Did that many people go back to 2nd gen? I must have missed that.
I really like both. capcom is one of the best developers in existence. capcom, fromsoft and a few other nippon developers are carrying the industry on their backs.
Isn't monster hunter more like player position reading?
That's why most speedtroony abuse this by standing in specific location near the monster to trigger their specific animation attacks to create opening.
Some also triggered by monster HP threshold.
Why do you think speedtrannies all stand in the same spot? because the monster aggro is borderline random due to the input reading
Black person, I used Damage reader online and does most of damage all the time.
They still chase random low damage dealer all the time.
There are no aggro bullshit beside the shitty MMO fight special assignment monster like Behemoth.
>they change aggro when the low damage player accidentally reloads in the middle of a fight
hmm
>reloads
huh? are you pretending to be retareded?
Most randos I fight with during SoS either 3 LS or random GS and db.
No newb used Bow/guns in IB because they will get obliterated by how chunky they are.
Most range user in IB that can outmatched my hammer deeps are people around MR999
>parsing
Oh let me laugh even harder
I always stop playing around after Rajang. The elder dragons hunts for augments are just extremely boring to me because very few of them have enjoyable gimmicks. Around that point the game starts relying so much on passive damage gimmicks that punish you from even fighting the monster or AoE area denial attacks, often both. I should hop on to see what Furious Rajang is all about since i enjoyed the fight. Maybe some day try Alatreon and Fatalis since people swear by them.
>Trying to get Namielle to spawn so i can do health augment
I hate it.
God I still need to max level the coral region and I fricking hate how tedious it is. Hunting monsters alone doesn't do shit, I need to spam traps for an hour to get 1 level
It's not that bad. Hunting monsters definitely works as long as they're from the region and killed/captured in the region you're trying to level.
World would be good if it had good maps. Simple as. It's the one MH I will never go back and replay.
OP is a gay
uh sharpening your weapon gives you aggro 100% this is fact you cannot deny it just like deviljho eating his own tail
>deviljho reading his own inputs
WTF CRAPCOM
They went too far!
Drawing aggro isn't input reading.
More often than not aggro is determined by input reading
I mean, possibly, or at least by the animation being initiated. Obviously the monster has to have some awareness of what the player is doing in order for aggro to have any functionality, but it's not doing what people who complain about input reading talk about. It's basically changing a value to say "this player performed an action within my viscinity and is now highest priority." That's it.
I don't know exactly how it works in World; does like of sight matter? My experience says no but I've never deep delved into it.
>Obviously the monster has to have some awareness of what the player is doing
Uh, no it doesn't, it's a monster. It would make more sense to remove the input reading entirely and have everything be DPS based, like an actual cornered monster would be more concerned with some guy burying a greatsword in its spine than a guy rubbing a rock on his sword 50 yards away
It's meant to emulate the monster noticing one of the hunters is vulnerable. If you have four dudes waiting on you and one of them suddenly seems distracted, take that one out so now you have three dudes wailing on you.
It's meant to emulate the game having better AI than it does
I mean, no. The monster AI being relatively simple is part of what makes MH so satisfying, for the very reasons you're arguing. It feels like a big monster trying to attack the player, rather than some video games boss or whatever. It's just a quirk to the AI to increase the risk of sharpening mid-battle and give the monsters more reason to change up who they're after.
>The monster AI being relatively simple is part of what makes MH so satisfying
yes nothing like locking eyes with a monster as you stab it in the face and not knowing if it's aggroed onto you or not
AI is an emulation of intelligence.
By "emulating better AI" it's actually just better AI. You're a fricking moron.
>it's bad AI pretending to be good AI
>that means it's good AI
lmao
He's not wrong. AI is just code trying to seem like it is making intelligent decisions. If the player's experience is improved by the code prompting a specific behavior, that's good AI. How simple the path is to that behavior is irrelevant.
>He's not wrong
He is wrong, you can't just say "he's not wrong". He's explicitly wrong. You're moronic
>you can't just say "he's not wrong".
I didn't do that. I explained why he's right. You're just saying he's wrong with no justification.
You can't just say "he's wrong." How is he explicitly wrong? You're moronic.
>I explained why he's right
No you didn't.
Okay fine, I explained why I think he's right. You haven't even done that.
What are you even talking about moron? How desperate are you for attention? You're not even saying anything
>get away from the big sharp stick
>attack the aggressor with the loud rock
It actually makes perfect sense. You're the one applying MMO logic of generating aggro with more damage.
why the frick are people so moronic when it comes to cutscenes, LET ME FRICKING SKIP, these people are moronic, absolutely brain dead because of this shit
who the frick thinks, "YEAH, THIS 5 MINUTE CUTSCENE WHICH SUCKS SHIT TO GO THROUGH AGAIN BECAUSE YOU'VE ALREADY SEEN IT TOTALLY NEEDS TO BE UNSKIPPABLE FOR THE NEXT PLAYTHROUGH"
"I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THROUGH THESE HOURS OF CUTSCENES AGAIN, I MIGHT FORGET WHAT I WAS DOING IF I SKIP IT AFTER ALL, WOULDN'T WANT PLAYERS TO PAUSE THEIR CUTSCENES EITHER LMAO"
these people don't play their games, they don't test their games, they don't make fun games
Cool, let me wear mantle and keep spamming sharpen during the whole fight so my team can do free deeps for easy hunt.
just shoot sticky ammo and reload every time
Then how I can proof sharpen spam works?
This is a known glitch for easy farming since 2018.
bowgun aggro is higher than sharpening aggro, it's probably the most input read weapon in the game, which is why every 100 hour bowgun moron carts 3 times, because it's fricking bullshit
But sharpen agroo is 100%
We can just wear temporal mantle forever because before IB temporal got no hit limit.
People can just wear it, spam sharpen and farm monster easy.
Its a well known glitch because monster got input reading for 100% sharpen attack.
There also multiple israelitetube video explaining about this since 6 years ago, not just some unproven rambling from anonymous person in image board.
Drawing aggro isn't input reading.
I press a button that send input command, so its input reading. 🙂
I don't doubt that some people learned the phrase from Elden Ring out of context because they weren't good enough to actually recognize it themselves, and are now applying that "knowledge" to other games where big enemies attack them if they're vulnerable.
wait, why am i supposed to think input reading is bad again?
It can be, but isn't always. If it's done well, it can make it feel like the AI is capable of genuinely reacting to the player, especially when there's some RNG involved in whether it makes the right call as well as being limited (in competitive games) to things another player could do.
A bad example is early fighting games, where the CPU would read the input and react in the next frame with move inputs that a human player can't physically do in that short of a time frame -- it would basically just throw out moves, rather than having to "do" the inputs for those moves.
The reason it's bad in Elden Ring is because it's extremely visible to the player. Enemies will dodge spell casts even when not directed at them, will delay attacks mid-animation to try and catch roll spam, and interrupt large attacks that should have some commitment in order to catch the player when they're healing. It's not even that it's particularly hard, especially once you understand what it's doing, it's that it makes the game feel like code being executed because it's so plainly visible.
>game becomes moronic and unfun
>choose the most efficient way with barely any mistakes being able to be made
>finish the game baiting lunge attacks and then jump attacking them to death
>his game doesn't run advanced AI through an NDU to make completely independent and original decisions every millisecond
ngmi
>Sharpen is an agroo
You homosexuals said this once many years ago.
Back then I tried to lure monsters into trap using this method and it didn't work.
too many morons enrage monster with 360 degree wallbang fyi you can only turn it 3 times
>my friend in voice chat doesn't tell me he fricked up a wallbang and used 2 slaps already
>obviously frick up, complain, friend finally decides to say something
WHO
excuse me good sir, i was wondering if you could bless me by imparting the knowledge of the identity of this female human unto me
The next Monster Hunter game should just have your character wake up in a bed. Why Crapcom feels the need to animate moronic cutscenes I'll never know.
>beat Fatalis earlier this year
>felt nothing
I think World drained me with the amount of small problems that kept adding up. I hope Wilds doesn’t take too much from it inspiration wise
>beat Fatalis earlier this year
>felt nothing
This but with every monster in this franchise ever since MHFU.
All you do Is build a crit on unsheath GS and slam a monster once and then you let it do it's thing for a bit and slam it again. After a few 1 hit slams, the monster falls down and then you a 2 or 3 hit combo and you rinse and repeat.
Then use another weapon. The difference between a GS and other weapons is huge
I'm thankful that the first time I beat fatty in world was before MR100 and with an incomplete set and shit damage (since hey lock all the shit you need to fully upgrade behind it) because it made it a real challenge, even if it was more of a race against time.
If it was as easy to kill him my first time as it was once I had atk+7, agitator +5, fully limit broken gear and whatnot I would have legitimately gotten depressed.
I didn't even unlock temporal until after I beat him because I thought it would trivialize the game, and while it kind of does it also makes tenderizing bearable.
Even with good gear and a temporal mantle, Fatalis was fairly difficult which was a welcome surprise. Despite that, the road to get there was just mind numbingly boring, so I just couldn’t care about the fight
That sucks anon. I found Fatalis exhilarating. It was helped by the fact that the first time I reached Proof of a Hero was also my first successful hunt so everything just aligned to make it an incredible experience.
Gave me a genuine emotion as the last real fight in World. I wish they'd done AT Velkhana before Fatalis just so we could really call it the finale.
Glad you enjoyed yourself anon. I’m just hoping I’ll be able to enjoy Wilds whenever that comes out
The only "intelligence" that monsters have is changing their attacks based on distance to the player and using specific attacks on stunned/trapped players
A monster won't interrupt itself or delay an attack or whatnot because you started to drink a potion or started sheathing or did a specific attack of your own
>Remaster 4 Ultimate for PC/PS5, cancel Wilds, refuse to elaborate further, zoomers leave
I would legitimately give up the prospect of wilds if it meant 4U gets world's graphics and an online revival.
I hope we get a 4U remaster this year since Wilds isn't coming out until 2025. They have an opportunity to fill the yearly gap with something that would have otherwise eaten into the hype/playerbase of the current MH.
great thread you fricking morons
Are the Tonfa, Magnet Spike, and Accel Axe weapons actually fun?
>World/Rise/Frontier smoothie
Wilds will be Kino.
cool
>Frontier parry
>5th gen foreskin slash and helmbreaker
Old gen poser
those cutscenes are rad, but i still wish i could skip them
I like the headcanon that this is the mhfu player character
I don't. Hammer/GL/SnS chad with occasional lance mixed in. I will not touch the longsword. No matter how much Rise tries to fricking make me a LS main, I will not use the free handout sword and got me hammer first opportunity possible. Frick LS users and their main character syndrome.
Your character is not canon, sorry.
Not to mention iceborne has every single one of those problems but adds
>DUDE WHAT IF HUNTING MONSTER BUT THEN 4 MORE MONSTERS SHOWED UP?
>DUDE WHAT IF MONSTER , BUT EVERY MOVE HAS SHOCKWAVES, AOES OR STATUS EFFECTS?
SO MUCH FUN
first time?
>Monster walks up
>Roars
>Another monster joins the fray and also roars
>They cycle roars
>Hit you while you're dazed from the roar because you didn't perfectly iframe the roar
>And then they both run away
Or it's a flying monster that won't get out of the air and flashpods become worthless because the monster becomes immune to them so you're just sitting there using one specific move in your weapon's move set to hit the dangling tail because you didn't play bow, bowgun, or insect glaive.
i havent watched a single cutscene thanks to mods
This would be such a good game if Capcom would implement the Gun Sword from Lost Planet 2 as a new weapon class
>Mod to remove clagger
>Mod to restore weakness exploit so it doesn't depend on tenderizing
>Mod to skip cutscenes
>Mod to fix hit effects looking like you strike cement and critical effects blinding you
>Mod to tone down scoutflies and remove them from highlighting every little thing you come across
>Mandatory mod that makes the Handler cuter
>Mod that removes the idiotic decoration grind and makes the rarity of the stone match the rarity of the decoration you get
>Mod that make Layered armor craftable as soon as the regular armor becomes unlocked so you don't have to look like a clown after mid high rank.
The game is finally playable.
Is it socially acceptable in multiplayer to turn a monster 3 times and do a wounding attack just so i don't need to clutch on again
Just wallbang and tenderize at that point
Everything is socially acceptable as the host.
I kinda wish the title updates didn’t ruin the end game but they had to cater to mmo gays i guess
I got my first time out in 120 hours using the insect glaive
First MH? Or just randomly jumped onto a new weapon in HR/MR, knew the monster well enough not to triple cart but couldn't deal jackshit damage?
If it's the latter, just fricking do LR stuff first mate lol. If the former, happens to everyone. My first timeout was a Royal Ludroth with Lance back in 3rd. The exhilaration you get when you get sub 20/15/10min hunts later is worth the frustration now.
