I stopped giving much of a frick about graphics and the like when Crysis came out and that shit hit a plateau that it's never left since. As far as I'm concerned graphics are like 5th in for what should be focused on in a game for it to be good.

The reason we have to pay for stupid expensive graphics cards just to play anything nowadays and have thousands of employees burning hundreds of millions of dollars working on making a split end on the ass of a character you will never see is because people keep trying to push the envelope on graphics.
The most successful games in the last 6 months look like utter shit or are made up of mostly Unreal store assets and made by like 20 people max.
People will tell you they want better graphics but most of them can't tell difference between a 360 game and a XBSX game.

I played recently 3 games that are considered "bad" but i enjoyed them even with all their flaws, those were FFVIII, Xenosaga 2 and Dirge of Cerberus, not great but i had played worse games
