I've played hundreds of incredible games. Pokemon is nothing more than a nostalgic guilty pleasure at this point.
Ultra sun was competent but redundant. I pirated it. skipped LGP and SWSH. I enjoyed legends arceus quite a bit once it got going, thats the one decent game on this list. Violet was like the "junk food versus gourmet meal argument". Junk food can be enjoyable. Riding the motorcycle around, picking up TMs. Being able to do whatver I wanted in any order was good for adults like us who want to play pokemon without having our hand held the whole time. Its hard to objectively rate pokemon games because they bring me joy despite being lackluster products.
ZELDA HOWEVER, I hate. I do not understand. The entire franchise is so lauded despite, or maybe because, it is babby's first action adventure game.
Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption 1, are so much greater than these two switch zelda games. Their open worlds, their npc schedules. ANd those came out in 2011 or so.
Assassins creed 2 came out even earlier. Open World has been done to death so why does zelda get so much praise? im convinced zelda lovers dont play very many other games.
I'm not a fan of OoT but at least it was goundbreaking. Tears of the Kingdom is so stupid.

Zelda is shit. The novelty of Botw/totc is cool but it's done irreparable damage to open world games. Every shitty game needs to be an open world mess now, you can tell they copy the same formula because everything has those shitty gliders.

That's why you look for the studios doing what Nintendo did going into Breath (ie, tgheir own take on OW, that improved on what had came before). If you're just5 going to look at 'tard baoit, small wonder it's all gonna be samey. Look for those looking to put their own spin, grow the genre beyond what's current or otherwise trying to stand out.
Or just sit whineing over shit because you're also a lazy frick and want everything handed to you, instead of putting the effort in to find it.

It's why I tend to avoid any of them now. the gameplay can be fun, but they force the world exploration when it really doesn't need it. I mean most of these open world games would be much better if they were more focused zones instead of vast fields of frick and all.
I* think you're missuing a couple Zelda releases in tat graphic. As well as misunderstanding it completely - Nintendo release Zelda every 2-3 years and pokémon every year, as they target two entirely different markets.
I kind of hate whenever people compare pokemon to other games here. Pokemon fans hate the games more than anything, but if you DARE to compare other games positively to pokemon, you have started a blood feud.
Xenoblade has both quality and q quantity.
