Even further into the future med lab shit rather than the grindhouse aesthetic of the first game. I don't care how good the game is, the artstyle sucks
Tripwire has a decade long track record of being one of the dumbest developers of all time. It's a miracle they're still in business, but more like a curse.
I still remember the announcement of 2 and the threads thirsting for beta keys, that shit was gigantic. But Tripwire dropped the ball with 2 SO fricking hard that there's zero hype for KF3 at fricking all, there's literally not a single person that has any faith in this being good.
I played a lot of 2 because friends really liked one.
I didn't really think 2 was THAT bad but the israeliteery with the cosmetics was off the chart.
I don't think even for a second they will turn that down but maybe they will shock everyone and say how they fricked up 2 so 3 will be different!ehehheehehehheheheh nah
Killing Floor used to be THE thing here on Ganker among PC users.
The fact there is zero hype around 3 should give you an idea on what's Ganker standing on KF2 and this announcement.
It really is kinda baffling how totally they lost sight of the kinda slow, deliberate and tactical yet simple gameplay that made the first KF so special.
I don't think they lost sight, because in order to lose something you need to have had it to begin with. KF1's gameplay was a fluke, it wasn't by design, it just happened to have been done that way due to engine limitations.
the game won't be good
why?
the graphics ruin visual information
the animations ruin consistent gunplay
a huge part of the reason why KF1 feels more fun than KF2 is that KF1 is more arcade-like. enemies line up their heads at the same height level and you pop them as fast as you can
it's a simple as that and it's really fun
now KF2 improves the graphics & animations
great, now everything blends together visually you can't see shit. it takes longer to identify enemies
and now enemies stumble, duck, and weave making it take longer to line up headshots
suddenly you feel less like John Wick and more like you're playing Duck Hunt
unironically, these games are better played with shitty graphics and enemies that line up conga style
There's nothing TO fix gmapleay wise. When it works its fantastic and better than Vermintide's gameplay. The problem is it still runs like ass, the RNG to get weapons is still cancer, the grind is still intolerable, and they just kind of gave up on making new content.
But if I'm in a mission and its above 30FPS I'm in heaven.
I like how Tripwire basically spports their games for a LONG time, but for KF2 they did frick a lot of things up with monetization, crates, rare this and that etc. I think that's why most people think its a concern.
Also co-op zombie shooters are no longer as big as they used to be, but I still think KF has a role to ply if its done well.
The setup, for now, looks cool and interesting
Giving Fleshpounds new mechanics and adding, what looks to be, melee executions to clots is interesting
But anything else is speculation, these little snippets of gameplay don't mean shit
Wait until we get an actual gameplay trailer and then start thinking about it
For now, its just a "What if and maybe" and I don't like uncertainty in financial decisions
2 was a disappointment so no reason to expect anything different.
i dont think
Then how know real?
the
No hype after 2.
Is it possible to learn this power?
therefore you aren't
I parrot opinions to fit in on a basket weaving board
>new thing bad
>twitter post good

Yeah, almost every sci-fi map look the same in KF2

The lead dev is a massive piece of shit and the rest are afraid of him so i expect they double down on the cash shop and stun locks.

completely disinterested. KF1 is still fully playable so i will continue to play it
I no longer play online slop and I never will again.
I know I shouldn't be excited after kf2
BUT I AM
COME ON TRIPWIRE, DONT FRICK THIS UP
It really is kinda baffling how totally they lost sight of the kinda slow, deliberate and tactical yet simple gameplay that made the first KF so special.
They didn't necessarily loose sight of it. They are simply greedy and would rather cater to the masses rather than build on their older fans.

skill issue
I can already beat the hardest maps. it's just not as fun
Enemies should be visually distinct from their environment. That's videogame development 101
vermintidebros, i dont feel so good
I'm done giving Fatshark money. I should have known better after VT2, but I was too excited
>Bought darkturd thinking they would at least fix it the longer the game goes on like VT1/2
>They have yet to fix shit
It's crazy. They could have made one of the best co-op games of all time with just a few tweaks
And here we are
What's wrong with it? I'm having fun.

Excited I guess but theres no information other than it exists so until more is revealed i'm just gonna memory hole it.
Is there something new to it or is it just KF2 with better graphics?
middle school lucn table social outcast aesthetics
ill let you know when i see some gameplay
OH NO NOT AGAIN
I'm not falling for that shit again!
