That was the only time in the entire game where she was decent too. The rest of the time, she's unquestionably the shittiest character in the game. I cannot imagine how moronic you'd need to be to save her over the entire city.
The game made me feel very sad for her parents during this chapter. In fact, for most of the game I was sympathizing with Chloe's mom, her real dad, and David who I immediately realized was almost always in the right and a good soul despite the way the game tried to portray him from a teenager POV. I forgot what happened to them in the end, but I remember feeling unsatisfied by both endings regarding their fate. It's either David and the mom die or they have to live with Chloe dead anyway. It seems there really was no way for them to win.
On a side note I'm still frustrated over how this game is poorly written. Almost all of the situations where Max and Chloe found themselves in an uncomfortable position could've been easily avoided by Max being slightly more proactive, seeing the way her powers work. The final choice invalidating almost everything you did was also a gut punch.
First two episodes are great, atmospheric cozy small town mystery.
After that they hyper-fixated on the dykeshit because Max/Chloe art got thousands of retweets on their twitter.
I like it, sucker for time loops. The mysteries set up in episodes 1 and 2 were good, but it was pretty clear as 3 and 4 released that most of it was going nowhere are not going to have a payoff.
Its a good initial playthrough experience if you see it as an interactive choose your own adventure movie.
Has a pretty good teenage girl simulator feel.
I imagine it would be dogshit on subsequent playthroughs.
I'm definitely not the demographic, so it took a second to warm up to it, but then it kept giving me comfy feelings of nostalgia, and I really like the Pacific Northwest, so the teenager drama stuff was tolerable.
I felt betrayed when after 5 chapters of "your actions will have consequences" it boiled down to 2 endings. Literally the only part where your actions had consequences and you felt any sort of pressure was convincing miss jesus not to jump. Why couldn't they carry that throughout the rest of the game? Why did they give up?
It's not necessarily good, but it is charming. It's interesting to revisit it now that that period is over, sort of a bizarre, somewhat out of touch time capsule.
I think that Life is Tumblr is a gigantic piece of shit and everyone who wasn't a woman or a homosexual thought so back then. Daily reminder that those threads are made by yuritroons, the same ones who suddenly became huge fans of fricking goodbye volcano high when they learned naomi and fang are dykes.
pros:
* nicely captures hipster-teenage-indie vibes of that times, you can like that theme or not, it's more about them succeeding at it
* good soundtrack
* graphics style
* twin peaks setting
cons:
* time-travel is sort of futile as i remember it
* twin peaks setting
* no free roaming dating sim post-game
i like replaying it every 2-3 years, thanks for reminding me
also before the storm is okay
Liked the game when it was released, probably because I was in my angsty teen phase myself. As a game it was a decent mystery and rewinding time just to frick with characters you didn't like was fun. Also OST had some rather good songs with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9uy4V8SvPk being my favorite.
On the other hand I can also understand why someone would dislike this game, or why someone would hate Chloe with passion. Still a decent game for me, especially compared to all the other shit that came after it
>Save as in make her a normal, functioning member of society? Probably not.
Lol. People acting like her character is some meth addict that's giving blowjobs for $10 behind the gas station.
She's just a teen during her edgy phase. 95% of them turned out to be "normal" in their 20's.
How can you look at modern 20 year olds (both men and women) and think they are normal, you fricking imbecile zoomer
Chloe is like a modern zoomer, she is doomed and so are you, it is gen alpha who still has a chance to make things better, 20year olds zoomers already gave up
Lol. Frick are you even talking about? Zoomers? Modern? Were talking about teens from early 2010's.
If you were a teen during that era, then take your high school photo, find all of the alt kids there and tell me how are they doing and looking now?
Pretty much all of the 30 y.o. millenials from that era are as normal as it gets now.
Only good part was the porn.
when you change timelines and the blue haired b***h is in a wheelchair i laughed out loud
I also did. All of my enjoyment of this game came at it's expense

A game made by and exclusively enjoyed by the balding men of soi
I'm not from california, nor am I a homosexual, or a woman
would I like this game?
No

>are you fricking insane i was eating those lesbeans
Dyke kino
A troony's favorite
I WAS EATING THOSE BEANS
Felt more interested when it was confirmed as canon that after the Bay ending Max falls into a submissive relationship with Victoria.
Giwtwm
Genuinely a healthier relationship for her than Chloe
I've heard from people that the dialogue/slang is dated in the game. Is it?
How can it be "dated"? It came out in 2015, not in 2024.
When it was released regarding the slang being outdated, even wikipedia mentions it

It was dated when it came out to.
The game single-handedly propelled "hella" back into contemporary slang.
It's early 2010s

Is that screenshot of the israelite cereal box where he throws brown cereal into the milk real? I keep seeing it but I can't find anything about it

I think the music was really lackluster and it could have been a truly great game without the horrid soundtrack.
Beans?
It's not necessarily good, but it is charming. It's interesting to revisit it now that that period is over, sort of a bizarre, somewhat out of touch time capsule.
It's good.
I want to have violent sex with Max, and loving sex with Chloe.
Anon, you have those backwards
Chloe is my wife

You're a newbie, 2014 Ganker (pre-Trump and pre-psyops) enjoyed Life is Strange, you realize there is an archive?
Yes, I'm sure "pre-trump" Ganker LOVED a game for tumblrites featuring a colored hair annoying dyke and "HOW DO YOU DO FELLOW TEENAGERS?"
pros:

LMAO.
Huh? I kinda agree with that anon.
It really has a cool vibe of early 2010's. That was the end of the scene/hipster era indeed.
No, it was always "this is totally how these pesky teenagers act, right?". You are a moron.
I was a teen during that era and the game feels fine to me.
No idea why you're butthurt about it.
Broteam's streams of it were probably some of the most entertaining letsplays I've ever seen
Comfy
I'm in love with Max
great game, weak ending
its solid
Max used her power for stupid shit.

could (you) have saved blue haired Chloe?
Save as in make her a normal, functioning member of society? Probably not.
Sacrificing whole city and waste my life away with her? Most likely.

Why do people play this homosexual shit?
Because they homo.
they are*
Max is cute.
CUUUUUUTE!
