Thoughts on pic related? From years ago i remember people just said its barebones shit factorio 3D but now i am seeing that almost all recent reviews are positive, is it...good? Does it have a lot of content?

it has a lots of content, if you like to optimize
So just like Factorio
sort of, they're both fairly different at their core but definitely in the same genre
It's not like Factorio at all, beyond being an automation game. There's no base defense or limited resources so it's mostly about solving logistics issues since the scale is significantly larger and you have to handle more obstacles.
its barebones shit factorio 3D
If you want more games like factorio but 3D try dyson sphere program (inferior to factorio of course but unlike satisfactory it's good)
It's pretty fun
it's good
it has lots of content
the grind is kind of suffering compared to factorio in the late tiers since you unlock so much stuff all at once and your resources needed + scale skyrockets but you don't have things like copy-paste or bots to build that shit up quickly.
They're going for more an aesthetic factory approach than efficiency and building up as much as fast as you can so if you play it I'd advise to not worry so much about finishing all the tiers, just make cool factories for specific things. Best feeling is walking through your [item] factory along the gantries looking down at the machines, appreciating all the design decisions you went with to make it look great
I've had a lot of fricking fun with satisfactory. Combining exploration and unrestrained building autism is pretty neat.
Basically what says. All forms of resources are unlimited, so just enjoy building and refining your own production setups and ways of traversing the world.
It's kind of pooly put together in a design sense but it has some cool stuff, I would say it's worth buying.
I keep trying to get into it, but it feels like a wagie simulator and it annoys me. The context of being an employee following tasks set down by your boss is fricking lame even if its functionally the same as similar games that use a "you're just trying to survive" context and mete out tech and upgrades in a similar fashion.
you aren't trying to survive in Satisfactory the entire plot is that you're from a mega-corp there to milk the frick out of the planet's resources and don't give a frick about how much you destroy it
Yeah I know. That's why I called it a wagie simulator.
poor mans factorio
It's alright, multiplayer is still fricked unless you're just playing p2p instead of on a server
It's massively lacking QoL shortcuts like copy/paste and movement tools that aren't just launching yourself out of a cannon
1.0 release at some point within the next year, allegedly. I'd love to see blueprints even if they're locked behind a lategame resource like nitric acid or plutonium.
The only video game I can play for more than an hour these days. Very addictive but also grindy.
Cool atmosphere and mechanics. Simpler to me than Satisfactory, and I like the aesthetics better.
Can you learn shit in this game or is it too "video-gamey"
What exactly do you mean by that
Dunno, can you learn some basics of engineering/logistics
Well, kinda yeah, you're doing basically the same thing you're doing in factorio or dyson sphere program, though I'd recommend factorio more over the others. I don't know how relevant that is to real world logistics.
You can learn systems engineering and scaled logistics, yes. There's even a large blog about how to apply engineering to the game in the steam hub.
Not at all, you can expand your brain a bit getting ratios and stuff right but you aren't really learning anything
Anon, are you sure it's not a (you) issue you're describing?
It's factorio, but, not as good.
I prefer it over Factorio as it's prettier and I like focusing more on the beautifying aspect of making factories than the logistics. You can't make shit look good in Factorio, it's always grim and gritty.
It's alright but it turns into an absolute slog in tier 7/8 and placing lights causes massive framerate issues
Came out exclusive to EGS. Have ignored it since, I'll go back to ignoring it now.
csb here's your (you)
this game would be released already if not for epic
>STOP HAVING FUNNNN!!! STOPPPPP EPIC GAMES EPIC YOU CANT HAVE FUN AHHHHHH
I don't know what you're trying to say zoomer.
new gay detected
I've been here since 04. I guess I should just stay out of these zoomer game threads.
