Overall, this year is strangely strong. Between having both a big new Zelda AND a big new Mario game, plus lots of smaller titles of decent renown and reputation, they're in a very good place this year.

I'm guessing you don't play a lot of games if 'Clap because I referenced thing' amused you that much.
No, It was just a fun, short RPG on its own. I'd say its choice to make combo-finishers attached to its equivalent of the Ouroboros mechanic was inspired. Not to mention how its fusion abilities, while fewer in number, were more uniquely enhanced.
Obviously I did enjoy the references but honestly even if it was just about Matthew and A, I'd be pretty satisfied
I also think the Aurora Shelf and the entire FR map is probably one of the best areas Monolith Soft has ever developed from an exploration point of view.

It's just so funny to me that Monolith Soft decided to flex so hard in FR in terms of level design, combat reworks, enemy encounter design and maintained the high-standard of writing from XB3 for characters and plot that they ended up releasing a DLC campaign that has as much story as most other AAA releases and arguably more enjoyable and compelling from start to end

I'll have to see what some of these announced games end up actually being like, but a pretty damn solid lineup. I'm not really into most Nintendo games, but by all accounts, people love TotK. They didn't show much of Super Mario RPG, but the few screens it did looked pretty much 1:1, so I'm very excited to pirate it.

I see this year as a transition year. In terms of major games you only have TotK and Mario Wonder, with Mario Wonder being a 2D platformer which isn't exactly an AAA genre. The other games are all either remakes/ports/remasters or smaller things like Pikmin. They're probably trying to get ready for the next console so most of their developers aren't working on the switch.
With that said, I think the releases this year are incredible. But that's because I'm one of the relatively few people who love Pikmin and as a hardcore Nintendo fan I'm definitely into these remasters/remakes. Zelda also helps fill the year out because it's so absurdly long.
I still think we see the switch 2 late 2024, but at the rate we're going, I don't even care if we don't. I'd be fine with Nintendo continuing to make remakes and remasters of great games for years.
I'm personally disappointed that all of their remakes/ports/remasters fall into the same issue, where they never fix the fundamental problems of the games. Like every time they port a Kirby game, they never make it more difficult. Same with a Mario game.

XBC3, XBC3 DLC, Tears of the Kingdom, and Pikmin 4 would have been more than enough for me this year.
But adding Pikmin 1+2, and Mario: Wonder makes it even better. I might even pick up SMRPG.
I didn't like a lot of the early games, but man the back half of this year is completely jam packed. I still can't really bring myself to buy a switch though. Every time I get close to buying a nintendo platform I remember how fricking cucked I got by buying a ds phat, and I just wait "for the next revision" and then end up never buying it

Nintendo has that squenix brain rot where something not selling a trillion copies in a femtosecond means it's a complete failure, drop the entire brand and IP forever.
I'll never understand how squenix made over 10m sales on nu-tomb raider 3, PLUS the timed ms exclusivity, and still called it "a complete failure, performing so far under expectation the brand will likely not recover".

Ring Fit was a good introduction to fitness but after I moved onto actual strength training, there's no reason to play Ring Fit. They did a good job with that game.
