Pretentious, lazy, derivative, meaningless.
I'd bet everyone who does this has watched the same tutorial video on youtube.
Sure, you can just say "it's an artstyle! It's a style choice!" but when it's someone else's style and someone else who made the choices, AND it looks like dogshit to begin with anyway... I don't feel like I'm being unreasonable when I say this needs to die and stay dead. Too old to look good, too new to be charming, it will only ever be enjoyed by a small pocket of blind nostalgiagays.
afaik yes, you can check out the haunted ps1 demo discs and the Dread X collection. I really wish they actually tried to make them able to run on original hardware, I'd love to play them on my PS2 over component.
I'm a zoomer without nostalgia and I love the style. It looks so much better than the vaseline N64 graphics and still leaves a lot to the imagination compared to later gens.
I like it
Games look too realistic nowadays, I think it hurts creativity.
ps1 is a bit too low though, I think peace walker has one of the best low poly aesthetics
its not a fricking aesthetic fricking moronic monkeys
this is how games had to look back then so they could run on a fricking ps1
looks like absolute shit btw
tight shit imho

This is a pretentious comment
What can I say? I'm a pretentious guy. Thank god I don't make indie games.
Nothing wrong with that. Enjoy your weekend
based
Just heard about it now from a spookynon. It's mostly on pc tho, right?

waiting for tthe kino 1999 3D revival
look at this SOUL
I preferred when games looked like this.
>ps1 aesthetic
This is a mixel equivalent of 3D graphics.
Absolutely lazy way to go and extra hilarious when Blender kiddies cannot rig low-poly joint to save their life.
just like pixelshit, it has potential but the majority of the times is used because the dev cant do something of quality
they're making an angela anaconda game??
It's just fine. N64 games looked better anyway
Kino
cool concept ruined by nobody being able to actually do it correctly
its not a fricking aesthetic fricking moronic monkeys

It’s pixelshit 2.0
I like it way more than low effort 2d pixel garbage.
