4 gems
I've only played Rescue Team DX, but I quite liked it.
I'm hoping for more PMD soon. It's been four years. Hopefully not another remake, but I'd still take one gladly.
I’m probably going to buy all of these, but I haven’t played any. Well, I have played Pokken Tournament, but on Wii U. And obviously the original red rescue team.
Pokken is the only good game here
On the surface this looks like the absolute paradise of good pokemon games, but the execution was mediocre and forgettable for all of them
Ds era wins for sure. The ranger and mystery dungeon games were amazing
It all went to shit with X and Y.
The games, the movies maybe not the tv anime but all other things Pokemon related.
Pokken is excellent, acquire taste
>tons of play-style diversity, both for how two players will use the same character and how each character plays (EG: characters having unique mechanics like braixen's support guage tools and support cancels, or on the extreme end darkrai being designed around doing full combos in the 3d phase with triggerable traps to then cause a shift with a specific move to enter an install state, or Aegislash having a unique parry and stance switching and getting more buffs the more you switch stances
>Very well balanced roster, even characters considered bottom 6 regularly make top 8s, almost every major event has the top 8 having 7-8+ different characters
>2d-3d phase shift system acts as a anti-infinite system that forces a return to neutral and then the 3d phase acts as a second buffer layer of neutral before you re-enter the 2d phase; since different moves add different point values to the phase shift point guage, high level play requires you to constantly change up your move choices and combo composition to have the PSP guage max out right on your high damage ender for optimal damage; or to intentionally go for higher or lower PSP routes to either stay in the 2d phase longer to keep the enemy under pressure, as a sort of reset, etc, or to shift out of it faster if you happen to land a reversal and want to escape pressure, or to get the meter gain causing a shift gives, etc
>The unique way of handles heights to allow moves punish each other based on height, rather to get past blocks, leads to unique mixup opportunities, more reversals and less time stuck in pressure, and more chances to return to neutral; due to this + the phase shift system, Pokken has a huge emphasis on neutral, fundamentals, and mindgames
Where is the data here from? The only sales figure I saw for DX was 1.3m units as of 7 months after launch
Ok but:
>No Playable Rock Type
Goes from excellent to fine
I'm not even really sure what Rock Type pokemon would add a lot to the game in terms of playstyle diversity, honestly.
All 4 are good tbh. They have a nice target audience.
The 4 games you posted are easily better than the main games, except
>one's a port of a Wii U game
>one's a okay remake
>one's a sequel so boring and padded, it can cure insomnia
>one's New Snap, probably the best Pokemon game on the system up there with the Wii U port
It does to show how far the main games have fallen if these are better.
>Floppen
Never drew a dime.
i cant believe how awful detective pikachu returns looks compared to the first game
they are just trolling at this point
>detective pikachu
Daddy. Why does he sound so hot? Yes please.
>Pokken tournament
Unique gameplay and nice graphics. I enjoy the gameplay and wish we got a sequel
>pokemon picture
It’s cute and exactly what a sequel to this should be.
>mystery rescue x
I played the demo it was cute. I own the original not sure if I want this one tbh
No Pokepark? No buy!
On the whole, pretty good.
Pokken adding in the arcade characters and some home console originals like Decidueye, Blastoise and Aegislash was nice. I love being able to Swords Dance cheese as Scizor.
New Snap was a nice comfy time, was refreshing seeing Pokemon in a natural setting again and Bamco did a great job with the textures.
Rescue Team DX was a nice romp through the old Mystery Dungeon story. I hope it at the very least did well enough to warrant a sequel or a EoS remake with a higher budget as the presentation, while it had promise, could use some stepping up.
Didn't play Detective Pikachu or Quest.
When is the Ranger trilogy remake?
Leave it alone, Game Freak would transform it into a shitty mobile game with DEI principles behind it.
Pokken deserved better.
Not with that terrible direction BN Studio 1 had in mind.

The Discord shill is here, ignore.
Bottom 2 were good
Never played the top 2
>Detective Pikachu Returns
Absolute trash, at least the eating macaroni --> "I want a divorce" scene was hilarious to see out of context.
>Pokken DX
Good port, the game itself is ok.
>New Snap
Really good Snap sequel, I quite enjoyed it.
>Rescue Team DX
Great remake, it had some issues, but overall the positive changes far outweigh the negative ones. Gameplay is significantly better than in the original. The biggest problem I have with it is that it removed Lombre slashing at and trying to kill the protagonists at the beginning of the fugitive arc, which was a memorable part of the original scene and made it clear how bad the situation was. I'm a bit worried that they'd similarly censor several moments in a PMD2 remake.
