Talentless hack that sucks Hollywood wiener and has a brainess fanbase that buys his games no matter how shit they are.
Almost. He actually is talented, but he's so far up his own ass and high from fellating, and being fellated by, Hollywood that his talent is misplaced. He needs a wrangler.
>He actually is talented
X to doubt. What proves that he's the talented one, and not the actual programmers of his games.
Let's just say he PHYSINT my favorite game dev

>PREASE INSERT DERICIOUS PP!!!!
Kojima sucks but Hideo is alright
Too far up his own ass nowadays, MGS4’s development fricked him up and MGSV’s gave the final blow
Hack and phony
Kojima is a GENIUS
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was pretty good, I guess.
Has more talent in his little finger than (You) ever will.
kojima is the christopher nolan of video games.
Amazing game designer, director and producer, cringe writer
Got me interested in game design after reading his interview of MGS1 in the back of this strategy guide. Konami seemed really cool to work at during that time. MGS2 pre-hype made him godlike to me and a lot of other people as well. Seeing that game for the first time after playing the original was mindblowing. The way he handled himself in interviews probably made him the first successful rockstar japanese dev that didn't corporate speak and was more relatable than the rest including Miyamoto.
Actually I think the working conditions were pretty bad and burnout was almost guaranteed. But damn it would’ve been cool to be there.
Yeah it was definitely bad by the 2000s at least, probably then too. It seemed really cool just looking at it and other interviews and such. That changed for me when I finally got my hands on MK Deadly Alliance, watched that documentary of Ed Boon's day from start to finish at 6:30am - 9:30pm or something and went "DAMN! I WON'T TIME TO PLAY OTHER VIDEO GAMES WHEN I GET BACK HOME!" and decided to hold off my dream of being in software until I accidentally stumbled back into it when no one wanted to hire me with my film degree lol.
El Esteban Trabajos de los videojuegos
Kojima hermano ya eres mexicano!
El Hombre de Japon Muy Creativo
Generally a great artist, deserves credit for Koji Productions housing multiple excellent writers and designers. His public image is that of a starfricker Americaboo, which is really unappealing to anyone who's fricking sick of Hollywood. I don't really share his personal taste in much of anything western (Del Toro is a hack, David Bowie is a hack, etc).
I can't comment on Death Stranding, but it looks cool.
>i want to make a video game but it is a movie so we only put maybe 2 hours of video gaming in but much more hours of cinematic dialogue
HOLY SHIT KOJIMA JUST MADE A MOVIE IN A GAME
He's responsible for the shitty slop we have
He single handly actually killed gaming
I don't like him. He takes great engines and assets and wastes them.
Hackerino
He's cool
I hope whatever shit he has cooking with Hollywood fails so miserably that he commits sudoku
He more or less introduced me to "art" as dumb as that may sound, he changed how i think of art, how i view it. I think I was 9 or something when I played Metal Gear Solid 2 for the first time and I would look up information about the game and Hideo and before that I had watched movies and listened to music but the artistry was kind of an abstraction to me at that point. Hideo definitely had a huge influence on me.
He's had his ups and downs, him buying his own hype, making bad Metal Gear after bad Metal Gear. I'm so glad he got fired by Konami, it's the best thing that could have happened because Death Stranding was refreshing, leading up to release I was more concerned than ever because it seemed his hollywood circlejerk had hit a peak but unlike MGSV it was actually good. DS2 looks incredible so he's pulled me all the way back in after disappointing me since 2008 with mgs4.
