There isn't one, I have this thing and I absolutely love it. I think the original (non-plus) model was better, but they're hard to find now and although new stock is coming in August, they released like 400 units a few weeks ago and apparently they had a frickload of issues with the screen.
Screen is extremely delicate.
Because these chink devices will sit in your drawer collecting dust once the novelty phase wears off in a month.
Anything this shit plays can be put on a better device like your phone.

Unless you're trying to run very particular snes games (Starfox, Mario RPG) it runs just fine. GBA games worked just fine on my old hacked one before I upgraded.

The RG35XX comes with a GPU btw, it's just disabled for some reason on stock fw and garlic os.
Theres a new OS coming for it that unlocks the GPU and it can do up to like NDS and some PSP. Even OOT is playable.
But I think most will use it for playing PS1 in like x4 resolution.
All PS1 games pretty much run full speed on GarlicOS if you activate Overclock++

I was thinking the same, but heat distribution is already with the current chipset a huge problem. I own it with GammaOS installed and while playing ps2 it runs perfectly well PAL games, but after 30min this thing is getting hot without active cooling.
that's probably down to the metal shell conducting a lot of heat, the RP3+ has the same chipset and I don't think I heard of heat being an issue with it. In fact the Retroid Flip has it with a fan and apparently the fan basically never turns on.
True, time is key in this equation. the longer you wait, newer mobile chips will flood the handheld market. RG405M is in a pretty sweet spot right now with below 200$ pricetag, the size of a current smart phone and being capable to play up to ps2/ gamecube (also playing radiant dawn right now).

they're better for emulating everything that isn't PSP, Vita or PS1. Vita is still a great emulation system if you already have one or can get one for cheap. The non standard charging port would annoy me though.

I got the original Miyoo Mini gen 3 on launch, loved the size but didn't play much because of the size (ironic) and sold it on israelitebay for 150 dollars and then bought two Miyoo Mini+ in the retro color and purple color with it and have already played through 20 different games including SotN, AoS and DoS. It is hard to get away with the steamdeck at work but this tiny thing I can whip out of my pocket while taking a 45 minute paid shit at work or at my desk sometimes.I make about 80 an hour so one paid shit covered the cost of the device. Good investment. The games it comes with are decent but I just went to Internet Archive and got every system from NES to PS1 and dumped all the english ROMs onto my own 512GB card.

I couldn't decide on color and was going to give one to my wife but she wasn't interested so sold it to a coworker (sold the purple one, which has an ugly grey bezel under the screen. Definitely get one of the solid colors imo, I was going to pull the screen and wrap the chin with lilac vinyl but it is bonded into the frame so you can't do this safely.)
I wish I didn't lose my SP. That was the only form of GBA I owned, but I fricking loved that thing and it lasted me decades. Great form factor too.

anything "better" is larger and not as easy to carry around, so that's basically moot. you have to sacrifice comfort to get a device this small.

The screens on the smaller n3ds were almost all the shitty TN ones. My thumb nub broke and i cant get it repaired without worrying about them fricking up my hack or sending me a new one, i would also rather a new system with an actual thumbstick nub than the nipple. The smaller n3ds is now pretty expensive for what it is and its only going to get worse since the 3d screen will be an increasingly rare kind of artefact, if someone kept 3d screens alive we wouldn't have to be so paranoid about the existing stock disappearing.

Miyoo mini plus is good but there's some good optins from anbermic (sp). You could also look into other devices that have a horizontal form factor, there are some like the retroid 2 (i think?) that can play ps2 games. Miyoo mini can't do that, only ps1. Retro game corps on youtube does the best reviews of all these things. Pick one.

There's the n1 mobile controller, but the way the usb-c port is built will damage your phone's prot right away. it's also a bit fricked. It was vita style left along stick, switch style dpad, and 3ds circle pad right stick.
