It was an arcade game. Also, bosses had that orb thingy which you had to hit. It went from blue to red as you got closer to killing one.

Are you the same person from a few months back that was asking about a made up game you claimed to have played in a laundromat? Your broken English sounds similar.

Nope. First time on /vr/ ever. Hell, I did write the post, but I didn't create the thread.

That's Wonder Boy in Monster Land

Well I'll be damned. It was.
Looks like my memory was playing tricks on me with the witch character thing.

In 20 years you never saw gameplay of Wonder Boy in Monster Land?

Never got around to setting up MAME because of the romset autism.
In my defense, the game was never released in arcades stateside.

So no grassland, no witch and it's not a shooter. If this is it I hope the homosexual in the OP is permabanned.

It was a 2D sidescroller, kind of like Megaman except you could pick between three different characters. One of them was a generic laser shooting guy, one was like a wizard and the third one was a robot dog looking thing called Panthora.

Played it during a sleepover and never heard or saw anything of it again

    >Ragnarok Online fangame/something that I remember as such
    >a typical beat-em up like Golden Axe
    >at the start you choose your character out of the list of the starter jobs like Swordsman/Cleric/etc. and then get thrown on some green meadows level
    >enemies included Porings (those cute pink slimes with :3 faces)
    >graphics were 2D, character sprites looked basically like RO ones but closer/bigger than in the original
    >played it at the start of the century on Windows, might have been even before I knew what Ragnarok Online was
    >no idea how big the game even was, since I didn't play it much
    >think it was originally on a simple disc with a bunch of games someone brought over from somewhere
Tried finding it myself relatively recently but the closest I got was Ragnarok Battle Offline, a cool game on its own and surprisingly similar to mine (also being a beat-em up) but otherwise not what I was looking for, what with more unserious artstyle, the characters being able to move only in a single dimension like in like a typical 2D platformer (but without platforms), the guild-hall like menu and a different start.

I've been trying for a while to find this game, here it goes.
It's a pre-2002 pc game, point and click. You played as a tall kid with a hat, probably called "Jama", as you walked by a house, someone throws a stone with a message prompting you to find your friend inside. There was three difficulty levels, i remember the easy one was "shapes and colors" and on the harer ones you had some puzzles to solve. I remember there was a scientist and a witch inside the house who could give you hints. If you clicked the toilet a crocodile would come out and entering the fridge took you to an ice level.
I tried asking Chat-GPT and it came up with "Jama's World" or "Jama's Journey" made by Edmark Corporation in 1995, but i can't find that searching online

ChatGPT sometimes makes up results. It even warns about this. Don't use it like a search engine without a healthy dose of skepticism.
