whats wrong with it? the timer is too long. p3r has a timed boss and is way worse because it actively reduces the time.
Because you skim the dialogue or don't pay attention to it to not lose time
if you’ve already listened to it once you’d do that in every boss fight anyway. they all have mid fight dialogue

Persona needs more persona user fights
For me the best Palace was Madarame's, best part of the game with just a small party and Yusuke got introduced, the theme is the best one as well

the morgana vs ryuji spergout was easily the worst writing in the series
To be fair, their dislike of each other was made clear at the start of the game
there's a difference between some personality clashing and a flat out double-standard of "i'm allowed to shit on you constantly but if you do it to me once I'm losing my mind over it and risking everything we've worked for so far"
the game went from the former to the latter so goddamn fast, just to drive a stupid plot diversion that introduces a character really late
They made it even worse in the anime. At least in the game Ryuji gets away with a half-hearted apology. In the anime he literally grovels and begs for Morgana's forgiveness.

This isn't bad writing, you're just an adult responding negatively to a story about teenagers. That one guy dishing it out constantly who crumples as soon as he has to take it once is in every adolescent friend group. He carries on with the banter and riffing because everyone else does it, but he does it out of insecurity rather than for laughs, so as soon as he takes a hit he takes it super personally instead of being able to laugh it off. It's the most normal and ultra-common dynamic in a group of teenagers.
They shouldn't have drawn it out for as long as they did, and the way it ties into Haru's reveal is absolutely harebrained, but the friction itself is pretty grounded. And yes, Morgana is a b***h. It's not bad writing to write a little b***h being a b***h.

That scene where they all ask him if he's a boy or girl made me think he actually wasn't sure and just said he was a boy because he liked Ann, and that he would eventually get a human form revealing him to actually be a girl. And then Ryuji would be attracted to her.
