Hot take Carbon is better than both Underground games
It does not have the repetition and rubber banding of the first or the padding of the second
Cars feel like hovercrafts in Carbon. The only remotely fun part of it were those canyon drifts but that's it. And visually it looks like someone smeared 10 pounds of vaseline over your screen.

There are still lots of races where you don't use them and they don't interrupt you that much, pretty sure there's a mod that removes them

As a kid I thought the fact you can only have one car in the career mode was stupid, but on a recent replay I appreciated the ability to switch the cars out on a whim.
Playing on Hard money isn't really problem as the game is pretty stingy with the upgrades.
You don't get good visuals until like race 40 or something
It still sucks finishing career doesn't unlock all the uniques, which especially sucks in regards to body kits.
Its also only as an adult did I learn to appreciate Sam
