This is actually the third time Sony has pulled this stunt. Look what they did with their Video Unlimited 4K store for their FMP-X1 and FMP-X10 devices. When they closed it they actually made them entirely useless bricks because even already downloaded copies wouldn't work without Sony's web server being up.
Damn. Things connected to servers always bad idea. Some old jastusa games need activision through server then they did release official cracks since their servers aren't up. Now their dvds are drm free.

Yeah, got to love protestors that don't do anything to actually help their cause but push people away by trying to destroy historical art. These people seem like grifters sent in by big companies to turn attention to their antics then what they're actually doing to the environment.
Intentionally obnoxious protest stunts like that are funded by big corporations with the goal of turning the public against protests in general, so that they can get anti-protest laws passed more easily, resulting in more control over the population.
What amuses me most about this is that Sony stopped letting people even buy movies and shows via the PSN back in like late 2020 or 2021. So all of these "usage revoked" has been from shit bought years ago
>buying digital products >you don't actually get to download the product, nor is it sent to you in a physical storage medium
I seriously hope you guys don't do this
I like how take two has essentially said that gta online purchases and currency won't go forward into the next game in that NBA microtransaction lawsuit.
Funimation itself is a dub company, the dubs (and their bastardized localizations for shows like Sgt. Frog and Ghost Stories, with scripts made by current weeb public enemy Jamie Marchi) were part of the appeal. Dubgays are primarily the ones impacted by this and they had to buy digital copies instead of physical or just pirating. A lot of shows had their subs available on other platforms anyway, shows like Dragon Maid come to mind which was "ruined" by Funimation's dubtitles even on Crunchyroll.
For this to impact you, you have to >like dubs >like digital copies over physical >not just pirate instead
I'm sure the 50 people impacted are heartbroken about their lost money, however they made some very dumb purchases to begin with. If any of your reading this are the kind of person to buy games digitally because you can play them for 2 to 5 hours before going to bed at the midnight release, then stop that. Wait a few hours for a physical copy to get shipped to you after work or school and then you won't find yourself in this situation in the future.
I bought Vlakyrie Mermaid and Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom. I import from different american companies and would avoid censor if I know. My favorite are mediablasters since cheap and discotek are expensive homosexuals.
>licensed content can't just be ported to a new corporation? >this is theft!!!!! >buy physical media now and clutter your home with it while pretending it won't degrade!!!
I learned my lesson about the fragility of digital goods when Microsoft shut down Groove Music back in 2017
Thank goodness they at least allowed DRM-free downloads but now I'm stuck backing up those files for the rest of eternity because there's no way to re-acquire all that music if I ever lose even a single song
Then just pirate them you fricking moron, you paid your money to the dev/company so whats the problem with you downloading it elsewhere like a torrent site?
P.S anyone financially supporting western anime services deserves to be robbed
I only buy bluray do you expect me to buy jap bluray with insane prices and don't know jap.
>licensed content can't just be ported to a new corporation? >this is theft!!!!! >buy physical media now and clutter your home with it while pretending it won't degrade!!!
Sony for second time stealing digital purchases with no refunds. Digital isn't reliable and only worth for piracy and sharing.
>Play has no limits

Lmao, and people act like I'm the crazy one with my 40+TB media server.

>Hey, how can we completely ruin our company and reputation?
>I got an idea!
>reputation
Have you seen their subtitles? CR is absolutely fricking awful.
No, but it's still fricking stupid.
Good. It's time to move on from your childish hobbies and fight inequality and climate change instead.
Climate change every year bob it's called four seasons
How the frick does one even "fight" climate change?
By filling shelkstein pocket with climate taxes obviously.
By raising taxes, giving the government more power, and weakening our rights. Obviously.
Throwing day old cafeteria food on priceless and historical art obviously

By reducing your own carbon footprint so China and India can increase theirs exponentially, chud.

>Crunchyroll
Who the heck pays for this shit when free anime has been a thing for ages?
Ps4 fans and OP
Actually I only bought some blurays with extra download code so I still have bluray. They only stole my digital copy.
And where you download this anime? Torrent isn't viable option anymore. I wish I would have some direct download sources like MEGA links.
Crunchy gives easy access and for many people that's well enough. And ymyt-dlp script still downloads from it just fine.
>Torrent isn't viable option anymore.
why not?
There's a piracy megathread if you just look for it. You clearly need to get used to not getting spoonfed.
>Torrent isn't viable option anymore.
Nice try, ISP. Send me a few more letters, maybe I'll listen.
I like how take two has essentially said that gta online purchases and currency won't go forward into the next game in that NBA microtransaction lawsuit.
I need gog to die so I can laugh at digitaloids.
good thing Xbox is going out of business eh
Doubling the price is dumb but only dub watchers are losing their catalog since its Funimation stuff. They get what they fricking deserve.
What do you mean their blurays include both dub and sub not only dub.

All of them are owned by sony moron so they still hold license just like what happened with rightstuf.
tiktok users are brain dead zombie.
