There's no good reason not to support legacy clients for older games on Steam.

itd be a shame if no one actually wanted to waste several minutes for some pop-out questionnaire.
itd also be a share if they purposedly fricked with the numbers just to make their shitty decisions more validated

That's not how this works, dipshit.
If it was a questionnaire that people skip, would it not be a relatively proportional amount of people from every OS that skips it? Why are implying that only W7 somehow skip this, thus skewing the percentage, you moronic little Black person?

Updooters are yes men, and love answering surveys with as much information as possible. Anyone rightfully paranoid enough to install linux or stay on 7 won't take any survey even if it paid them.

even if 99% of all steam users refused to do the survey it's still enough data to extrapolate the overall hardware and software used with steam

Endlessly funny how all windows ever does is copy things linux has done, It must be so easy working on windows, you literally copy the freely available source code for 2-3 features available for 10 years on linux onto your next spyware.

Guess why everything keeps getting worse?
Most people simply do not give a shit about their rights as long as they don't feel it.
In fact, giving up privacy feels good to them because they get told they are helping fight the pedo terrorist drug cartels by letting the government read their online messages.

While it's bullshit, you don't exactly have a "right" for your old OS to keep receiving support.

            Anonymous

I don't need to "receive support", I just want software that is currently working perfectly to continue doing so if I don't change anything.

Depends on specifically what you mean by this. PS3 used linux and you could install any linux OS on it in older firmware versions.

Switched completely to Linux in 2015.
Couldn't have made a better decision. Even in hindsight.
Both from the gaming and the professional perspective.
Windows is a walking dead that needs to go away.
