i just hate that every modern WAD has to be Plutonia. i played No End in Sight recently and it was a breath of fresh air.
it's hard to shake the influence, DOOM1 maps feel like they can only be hard by basically giving no health or ammo for extended periods, which feel cheap when you're used to modern DOOM2 maps.

It's called playing a fun and complete game made by a modder who wants the player to have fun. Not that zoomers would understand that, they have to shell out a ton of money to play half of a game made by a soulless corpo.
why? good games are timeless.

Walpurgis 0.99 was released recently. My go to Hexen-based mod that works with Doom/Hexen/Heretic. It's pretty cool.

probably one of my favorite FPS campaigns of all time.
I'm not very fond o the Doom style maps, I prefer something on the style of overboard, AA maps are kind beautiful.
