Playstation has no frickin games,
Now I know your feeling crunched,
Coz 360 ate your lunch,
Playstation has no frickin games,
6 Axis is fine and good when theres good stuff to play,
Instead Im playing motorstorm,
3000 times a day,
Games feel so lame and thick,
Coz my controller doesnt shake,
Playstation, no rumble is so lame,
Its hard for gamers not to hate,
600 dollar paperweights,
Playstation has no frickin games
>payed
>keyed
What song?
Time goes by slow as shit. 10 years ago I was still in college and holy hell that feels like an eternity ago.
It really speeds up after 30 dude
I'm past it. 1 year ago feels like yesterday but 10 and beyond is like a different lifetime.
Nah, only when you have a mind numbing routine. I feel like I've been in my 30s for 20 years
Yeah that was fricking forever ago
Stop wage caging and live your life then you might remember what happened last week
2013 feels like a different century at this point.
2013 feels like it was just yesterday
2006 however feels like an entire millenia
Might be because you still do a lot of things you used to do in 2013, but not that many when it comee to 2006.
In 2006 i was in my last year of highschool. So no smartphones, no hd TVs, i didnt work yet, etc. In 2013 i had my money, my internet, my car, etc, MOST of the things i still do
AND TIME CAN DO
SOOOO MUCH
The PS5 is older than the amount of games it has. Feel old yet?
>360, PS3 and Wii is considered retro
not retro
old = retro
Nope
Bruh
PS1 is so old, that it's older to us than the goddamn moon landing was to it when it was released
And I remember buying a PS1 (at least in America) when it came out (as a little babby admittedly)
Heck, even the PS2 is as old to us as the Atari 2600 was to it. Where did the time go???
>96 - 23 = 27 years
>69 - 96 = 26 years
ngl anon, I started typing that out to call you shit at math. But man, I did the math and now I feel like an old man. wtf.
Welcome to the passage of time.
>PS1 is so old, that it's older to us than the goddamn moon landing was to it when it was released
Fricking hell.
Frick I thought you were shitposting, where did the time go?
and still people claim that the PS3 isn't retro.
From 1991 to 2006 you had three full gens come and go. From 2006 to now you've had two full gens.
Super nintendo to PS3 was 16 bit sprite based graphics to early 3d to refined 3d to hd. PS3 to now has been a resolution bump and slightly better lighting.
why can't snoys stop bringing nintendo into everything?
Shit, that is really interesting. The SNES was considered fricking ancient when the PS3 released.
The PS3 doesn't feel that long ago at all. Some of the games released on the system, like MGS4 and The Last of Us easily holds up even today.
I'd chalk it up to, other then aspects related to graphics, games have not actually changed all that much in the last 3 or so gens in terms of core mechanics.
Game dev also take a lot longer these days. Average dev time for a new game is like 5 years. Back in PS2 days you'd get three GTA games in five years.
>Average dev time for a new game is like 5 years
try 12 years, anon.
That's because graphics and design principles went through several huge paradigm shifts in the 15 years prior to PS3, but the design meta was figured out by like the mid PS3 gen and we're still seeing the same types of games getting released that look a bit more refined. Compare early PS1 graphics to early PS2 graphics, then early PS2 to PS3, PS3 to PS4, and PS4 to PS5. The returns keep drastically diminishing.
I agree, I stopped seeing any change whatsoever going from PS3 to PS4, whereas PS2 to PS3 still felt huge.
The only difference now is a whole bunch more memory and megapixels and whatnot.
>Insert disc
>Boot the game
>Installation is required
Defend this
optical discs are too slow
>Defend this
No. it's indifensible. Why have the disc? Why not just a code?
The transition between physical and digital has been going on for far too long that nobody in their right mind buys physical anymore.
Instead of getting more shelving, buy another m.2 or ssd homosexuals.
>i hate owning things
>i want all of the games i paid for to be ripped away from me
>im moronic
have a nice day, dumbass consuming Black person
It sucks. you're right.
I wish I owned all my games and didn't rely on steam to store them for me.
Physical disks today aren't the same as they were back in the PS2 days. So many games require day one patches and then continuous patches after the fact because devs don't really need to comb out all the bugs when they can just patch the game after the fact. Not to mention the disks literally are just install + verify disks now since they aren't actually reading the game off of the disk anymore. The only way to actually "own" a game anymore is to have a cracked copy on your jailbroken console or PC.
you can install any hard copy of a game on an offline console and play it completely offline. patches are not required to boot and play the game
KH3 shipped without the ending, which required a day one patch. The Crash/Spyro remakes shipped with only one of the games on disk, the others required downloads.
Don't buy unfinished games?
I thought you owned them though.
>Why not just a code?
Well, back in 2006, people still had dial-up.
i had dial-up until 2011
How does it feel to be a 3%er?
I was one of the lucky ones I guess. My mom needed better internet for work so we got broadband back in 2002.
it's really quite this simple
Nah you cant defend that. I remember playing mgs4 and yakuza4, and both needing long ass installations before starting. GoW3 NOT needing said installation and starting right away was an actual selling point.
Honestly this is why I don't bother with physical editions anymore. Between that, patches and DLC, you never have the full game on the disc so why even bother? I'll pay for it once and then if it ever becomes unavailable for some reason I'll just pirate without guilt.
you know you can reinstall a ps3 disc offline, right?
The entire world is facing an unparalleled stagnation
Still loved MGS4 and Backwards compatibility. Also free online was nice as a poor kid so I could atleast play MW2 when my older brother hogged all the computer time and before I got my own computer.
Also don't know if you could do it with the 360 but we also turned our PS3 into a real frickin media center with pirated movies, anime, and music in a folder that would get updated on the family gaming computer.
How do you respond without sounding angry?
>Blu-Ray lens has died so I can't play my physical games anymore
This makes me sad, I loved replaying some older games once in a while.
And it STILL has no games
>diablo 2 + lod
>morrowind
>oblivion
>painkiller
