This series was so amazing, I think anyone whose played TimeSplitters 2 or Future Perfect (both great games) knows that there really isn't going to be anything like it anytime soon. Imagine a game having so much content base game without any dlc or pay walls, today they'd probably put different timelines as dlc.
>bought homefront: the revolution just because they left the entirety of timesplitters 2 as a PC port in it >this is unfortunately the best we're going to get in terms of a timesplitters PC port outside of emulation since Free Radical is dead
>did exactly this >my pc is so shit that timesplitters lags like hell because it's running both games at once
Why hasn't anyone tried to separate the game from homefront? Or is it just that embedded into the game's code?
for me its https://youtu.be/KlT_8GbTQfo?si=qL75_KFb3qKuWrFP
is the fan remake fully dead btw?
It was never really alive to start with. Textbook vaporware.
The project is pretty much dead, I helped with making props for the levels till I had to step away to help my mom when she got cancer.
The project did have playable builds and internal tests, but crytek didn't like how the team was going about things. Funny because they said the same thing about the various ports the UK team was doing.
It's definitely not a bad game it just was considered kinda lesser to the second game by critics at the time. Like, it's absolutely worth booting up in an emulator if you like timesplitters.
Definitly different and more traditional, still very good. You will miss the campaign design and structure but you will love the characters and how charismatic they are.
The multiplayer is a bit slower, and now has proper reloads. Other than that you can change the settings for the aim to work exactly as it did before
Did anything ever get fixed up with that TS2 PC port discovered in Homefront or is is it still in the same state it was in when it was first discovered?
They also killed off a new deus ex game that was being worked on too
Now all the IPs they bought are just going to sit unused in a vault somewhere or be desperately sold off to the first buyer
To be fair they had their shot with Saints Row and look how that turned out... it was another franchise where you could see all of its potential, even more with it being presented as a reboot so going a bit closer to 1 or 2.
I dont know, it feels like only Destroy All Humans got to have some proper care
SR2022 was already mostly complete before Embracer got involved. You can thank Deep Silver for that nonsense not like they're that much better than Embracer.
Microsoft should just grab up what's left of Free Radical and put them to work on their cursed Perfect Dark project since the other development teams they've put on that imploded. Let the universe come full circle. Even if it's janky and midbudget as frick it'll probably be more fun than Crystal Dynamics spending hundreds of millions of dollars to make Joanna Dark a multifaceted sad lesbian or whatever.
And also make her say "Time to split"
It really makes me sick to my frickin stomach. I really don’t have any other game IP that I was excited about getting new stuff for other than Psychonauts.
>Free Radical dead again >TS4 dead again >TS remaster dead >TS Rewind...probably dead >Perfect Dark 3...probably dead >Second Sight completely forgotten >Goldeneye locked to Nintendo subscription service
It has never been more over...for us.
>Want to see how Rewind is looking >It's not open source so if it dies it's dead forever and all that work will be wasted >Everything is locked behind discord circlejerk
You know what, I don't want to see it anymore
>had a lot of fun with goldeneye >had a lot of fun with perfect dark >had a lot of fun with perfect dark hd in xbox 360 >haven't played any timesplitters game
I should do it, right?
Nah I get what you’re saying though, I absolutely hate the controls after playing FP and going back to it but it sets the foundation for the player and if they like 2 then they’ll sure as shit love FP
Absolutely. Everything in the Timesplitters games feels like a proper iteration on Goldeneye and Perfect Dark except for not having a Counter Agent equivalent which is a real shame.. Just be aware Timesplitters 1 is really barebones in the singleplayer department. If you don't frick with the more arcadey setup, just skip to 2
Cortez is more entertaining, relatable and interesting than shit that has millions of dollars sunk into writer's rooms. It's legitimately incredible. Enjoyed all three games (except the one stealth mission in 2 and the revisit to the first level in FP).
We died of old age
Timepslitters... soul...
When Cortez realized he was the solution but also the cause.
How would one go about setting up Ganker timesplitters lobbies?
Use the mouse injector mod for Dolphin, and you'll never play timesplitters any other way again.
Elaborate
should i emulate on pcsx2 or dolphin?

Every minigame and half the characters would be separate paid dlc.

What?
It's only the first two levels. But they put in an Easter egg where you found this one arcade machine and play an updated port of Siberia and Chicago
Ackshually the entire game is there, but you need a mod to unlock it.
Just insert a cheat code, you dont even need a mod to unlock the entire game, but it is there, not just two levels
>did exactly this

TS2redux can strip homefront down to the point that it's only the TS2 content.
nice thanks
Timesplitters is one of the best franchises of all time.
>TFW it's 2024 and timesplitters rewind doesn't have an update video
I'm really hoping that project doesn't die.
The project is pretty much dead, I helped with making props for the levels till I had to step away to help my mom when she got cancer.

Sad to hear, my condolences anon.
I weep
fricking Embracer
thread theme

WHAT THE FRICK IM LITERALLY PLAYING THIS MISSION RIGHT NOW ARE YOU UNDER MY BED????
for me, it's lenny oldburn
It didn't deserve this fate, bros...
She didn't deserve this fate, bros...
I hope the Black personhomosexuals at Embracer get what's coming to them.
It would be shit if it were released today.
TP is the only good one
I'm sorry but I just can't get into the aiming mechanics of the first two games
it made her
level virtually impossible because there are too many enemies on the screen
>Rise up
Funny picture to use since in that pic he’s saying “Get down”
This or Stone Golem. Or Captain Night. Or Jimmy Needles. Or Viola. Too many good characters.
what's the best way to play this series now
on Dolphin, using this: https://github.com/garungorp/MouseInjectorDolphinDuck
>Written entirely in C
>windows only
Gay ass project
just learn 2 code your own lincuck
2 and 3 are on Xbox backwards compatibility.
I don't have an Xbox.
Dumbass
moron
The mouse injector
The pc "port" in Homefront has way more issues
It's not a big deal that stuff doesn't come up that much. Just use a controller for vehicle segments.
How's the third game? I never got around to it
It's definitely not a bad game it just was considered kinda lesser to the second game by critics at the time. Like, it's absolutely worth booting up in an emulator if you like timesplitters.

Why does TS2 control like ass? What's the preferred control scheme?
Skill issue
Did anything ever get fixed up with that TS2 PC port discovered in Homefront or is is it still in the same state it was in when it was first discovered?
>they took this away from us
Who?
looks practically the same as that one green b***h from valorant
I don’t play zoomer games so I have no clue
riot hasn't forgotten their thieving ways
I mean I guess? It’s just the mask. That’s about it
I'll be much more mad if they took a game that had Graeme Norgate music away from us. TS2 is peak soundtrack. Future Perfect fell a bit short.
>peak soundtrack
You got that fricking right
test
>TS4 never ever
So it’s DEAD dead? No 4 at all? No hope? This is fricking bullshit man
Oh cool a TS thread
yea sadly thanks to embracer being stupid
dolphin
it's all on the free radical archive
I hope a nail bomb goes off at their company for such a stupid fricking decision
They also killed off a new deus ex game that was being worked on too
Now all the IPs they bought are just going to sit unused in a vault somewhere or be desperately sold off to the first buyer
incredible

>Rewind MIA
>TS4 cancelled by Embracer
I hate this timeline.
Dolphin or PCSX2. Which is the best emulator for these?
does anyone have a link for the leaked concept art by of 4?

I thought they are in the arms of the embracer group
They were shut down but if they're not discouraged from forming or joining another studio there could still be hope.
>take the makers of the Timetravel Goldeneye clone and put them on the Futuristic spytech meets aliens Goldeneye clone
It’s time to split!
webms you can hear
Does it work on zombies?
No, thats your job
Have faith, fellas. In a couple of years TS4 will resume development. I'll make sure of that.
>Timesplitters 4 cancelled for the THIRD time
It really makes me sick to my frickin stomach. I really don’t have any other game IP that I was excited about getting new stuff for other than Psychonauts.

just end it
>TS Rewind...probably dead
No no
it's definitely dead
>Want to see how Rewind is looking

Timesplitters?
my wife
Frick it I’m playing Future perfect again
its amazing how good TS looks, hell most of the PS2 game still look amazing.
I wish I had known about these games sooner. Perfect Dark is my favorite shooter ever.
sup?
>had a lot of fun with goldeneye
>had a lot of fun with perfect dark
>had a lot of fun with perfect dark hd in xbox 360
>haven't played any timesplitters game
I should do it, right?
yea. future perfect is a must play, 2 is optional but still very good, first one you can skip.
>2 is optional
Frick you
yea, i take that back. 2 and fp are both must plays. no idea what the frick was i thinking there
Nah I get what you’re saying though, I absolutely hate the controls after playing FP and going back to it but it sets the foundation for the player and if they like 2 then they’ll sure as shit love FP

absolutely. 2 and 3 are great.
Absolutely. 1 is skippable and 2 will fill you in on the story
>grandpa?
I'm a joyless homosexual nowadays but that scene in particular still makes me lose my shit.
always cracks me up, the animations are so good
>that slight jiggle on jo-beth's breasts
>RISE UP
Why? What for?
TO SPLIT
that mouth never got used in any animation. what a waste.
>finally managed to find decently priced tsfp guide book
>no longer in stock
Frick me.
i had no idea then, but playing TS2 co-op with my brother when we were kids might be the happiest i've ever been
I remember playing TS with my friends after school. 4 player mayhem with bots. Take me back.
We used to make custom levels and have each other playtest them. Better times
>you'll never have a giggle with your siblings again while doing stupid shit as monkeys
This feel, I know it.
Cortez is more entertaining, relatable and interesting than shit that has millions of dollars sunk into writer's rooms. It's legitimately incredible. Enjoyed all three games (except the one stealth mission in 2 and the revisit to the first level in FP).
>Realize I enjoy Fortnite because it's the closest thing that has that Timesplitters soul
I wish the good custom DM maps weren't dead as shit
