>It looks great! >still images and a cg trailer
no it looks like shit until its actually out and i can play it for myself.
until that that time you are all fricking shills and morons that arent to be trusted.
I have no idea why that is so hard for other ARPGs. Seamlessly entering a small dungeon without loading screens and shit. Only TQ ever did it from what I know. Diablo 4 does it for levels within dungeons but not the dungeons themselves.
This looks expensive, but you need much more than that to make a good arpg. I wouldn't get my hopes up, considering devs of the original have nothing to do with it.
TQ was always my favorite clickan lootan game. Probably in large part due to how it wasn't designed to be played forever and it had actual handcrafted levels instead of procedural slop. It had the coolest setting. Making class combos was fun as frick too.
>watch the trailer during the stream >missed the title drop because I was playing battlebit >"Dunno what this game is, but pre-rendered trailer is neat" >go to walk my dog >watch the stream again >missed the title drop because I was playing division 2 >Still have no idea what this game is, but pre-rendered trailer is neat" >go to bed >open news today >Titan Quest 2 announced! >"Say what now?" >it's this trailer
Well I'll be damned, it's fricking happening. I really hope it won't be plagued with stupid shit, inherent to online-only f2p shit, like Wolcen was. And I'm not too sure about the devs. I didn't like Spellforce 3 at all, but I really liked Spellforce 2.
Also, why the frick there's a seraphim in ancient greece? And will there be maenads?
Good news. They teased a new snow level and stated they have been hiring new staff. Specifically for Grim Dawn. Official steam dev announcement. Looks like one final expansion, and a much later sequel.

Just a wall of marketing puffery to make the game sound like something it has no plans of being. It sounds like they have nothing new to add but want to try and cash in on the name of a game people are aware of. Considering the recommended memory is 32gb I have no hopes of this game being any good.

if it's anything like the previous games, factions reputations scales enemy difficulty & variety
factions allied will probably spawn mixed groups of enemies
>that's the whole point of these games
Fricking what? The only reason anyone plays games like these is finding strong items that let you butcher everything harder.
Name 1 (ONE) video game not in UE5 that runs better than UE5 and looks just as good as UE5.
You're not old enough to be posting here.

fricking hell
yes and the variety of the enemies is part of the fun
So basically skill tree from TQ, faction system from GD, crafting from PoE, horse and open world from Elden Ring. mite b cool, might be a disaster. Hopefully the former will be the case.
as far as i remember in GD there wasn't no cross factions stuff, but yeah carefully optimistic

I assume the form factions mean bigger and stronger enemies just like in GD. The only thing that sounds new are factions skills.

i don't want to speculate too much but it sounds like factions will create some form of hybrids
eg in GD you have factions like Cronley's gang and Aetherials, in TQ2 you will have a hybrid of these 2 with mixed abilities
maybe it's tied to some choices you make who knows
So basically skill tree from TQ, faction system from GD, crafting from PoE, horse and open world from Elden Ring. mite b cool, might be a disaster. Hopefully the former will be the case.
i mean as much as i love TQ i m not gonna rush into a game filled with bugs and horrible performance. What every anon here should do is evaluate the game at launch. If it has performance issues we can all avoid it

Fortnite
The Matrix Awakens
Layers of Fear (remaster)
Remnant 2

I haven't had any issues in any of these with my 7800X3D + 4090 setup.

Maybe they can make melee class not boring this time.
>reopened TQ 1 >62 conquerer >skillbar has ancestral bros, phalanx bros, battle standard, rally for aoe healing, war horn for aoe stunlock (enhanced by concussive blow), onslaught for DA debuff from hamstring and quick recovery for some extra protection
Pet builds in TQ are certainly some of my favorite.
If anything it's a blessing it's even beneath 70gb.
Didn't you see all the bg3 shilling threads where anons point out that shit is like 150 gb or something?
Releasing games with nearly zero compression is an industry standard at this point.
If the memory requirements are anything to go by, the game's going to flop. No Diablo clone should need that much memory, especially when it's a literal fricking no-name game that only caught on years after release because it kept going on sale at 90% discount. Tell me the devs are incompetent without telling me the devs are incompetent.
I guarantee you they will find a way to pozz this up and make it disgusting to play. Prepare for body type, blacks in ancient greece (WE WUZ KANGZ), excessive homosexualry among npcs and others. I loved TQ and have 1000+ hours in it, but if they pozz this up I will not give them a single cent.
How the FRICK do you install this nude mod god damn, the instructions are godawful.

My character changed in the face but still has a tunic without any equipment on. Do I HAVE to do something at a greek vendor? I just started the game and have no idea where that is.

I liked the way the original Titan Quest looked more. Sharper. New games are all soft-looking like things are made out of wax or plastic.

I think I tried to play titan quest 1 and couldn't get it to work
Might get this to hit it's weak point for massive damage though

The Crate guys now look on in puzzlement at some other developers using their old engine that hasn't gotten the Grim Dawn tech upgrades
>Grim Dawn tech upgrades
what upgrades? grim dawn has to load internalo areas and TQ1 didn't it just streamed you inside.
I have no idea why that is so hard for other ARPGs. Seamlessly entering a small dungeon without loading screens and shit. Only TQ ever did it from what I know. Diablo 4 does it for levels within dungeons but not the dungeons themselves.
its amazing how tech know how has diminished over the years
like the RTX garbage today when coders back in early 2k were making better lighting
Aren't the areas in TQ static?
pretty sure it's the same map layout for everyone, might be wrong since i haven't played it in a while
They are handcrafted yea, there's no randomized layout or anything
>handcrafted
Lmao that's a generous way of saying there's no variety on successive playthroughs.
>noooooo the copy pasted dungeon tunnel doesn't go left instead of right this time!
Pretty sure Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 did that 20 years ago
> an action RPG inspired by Greek mythology
they're still going to do asia and egypt right?
no one cares about dog people and flying snakes
I loved Egypt it was great act was great music
This looks expensive, but you need much more than that to make a good arpg. I wouldn't get my hopes up, considering devs of the original have nothing to do with it.
Will it have bear sex?
No
only harpy and lamia sex
Avoiding procedural generation and sticking with strict level design serves this pretty well, the screenshots look real good
TQ was always my favorite clickan lootan game. Probably in large part due to how it wasn't designed to be played forever and it had actual handcrafted levels instead of procedural slop. It had the coolest setting. Making class combos was fun as frick too.
Cautiously optimistic about this one.
yeah the world design was comfy
> actual handcrafted levels instead of procedural slop
yeah, actual handcrafted slop.
everything looked the same.
>was designed to be played forever
>less content is... LE GOOD
Why are trannoids like this? Why can't you go dilate rather than poking my eyes out with your low IQ takes?
>noooooooooooo you got to have raids! and an area where you run in circles killing none stop!
Can't wait for another ressurection of an IP for the hope of having a starter base to build an MTX shithole out of
it's just lootshit #3248939483. what makes it different?
Titan Quest was the only Diabloclone which nailed the aesthetics and it didn't even try to be grim fantasy.
It was a joy to see what came up next. the villages were all comfyaf

this is pure delusional jerkoff from the nostalgic child inside you

Grim dawn 2 soon
kek, grim dawn is like 2030 EA at the minimum
But anon, Grim Dawn came out of early access in 2016
Crate is working on some City Builder game or something. So probably not anytime soon.
Hope they change that garbage engine if they do. Grim Dawn looked worse than TQ1
That's becaue GD is a kickstarter indie, while TQ was a big budget game with incredibly talented artists and area designers.
Good news. They teased a new snow level and stated they have been hiring new staff. Specifically for Grim Dawn. Official steam dev announcement. Looks like one final expansion, and a much later sequel.

Looks like what people need after another Diablo fiasco.
pretty graphic but i want to see the gameplay and the class system first, can it top last epoch system or grim dawn?
will keeping an eye on it thou
they finally stopped playing with corpse and released actual new game?
the only left click simulator (arpg) that i ever enjoyed, hope they dont frick it up

None of it matters if you just go through areas butchering everything mindlessly which is what everyone does.

nope, game is dogshit
Hope its a great game. I loved TQ.

dear god no
why?
whats the problem here? are you concerned about requirements or performance issues?
performance issues yes.
there isnt a single ue5 game that has not been running like shit even on top end hardware.

Lame
This is by the Spellforce 3 studio, not Crate. They might do something interesting with it.
Diablogays and Poetrannies better kneel
Diablo and poe xisters, its over
I liked TQ1 about one and half a decade ago but when I tried to replay it last year it feels so boring. TQ2
Give me a proper isometric ARPG with WASD controls where enemies are more than just trash.
>crate hinted Grim Dawn 2

Releasing games with nearly zero compression is an industry standard at this point.
It’ll be delayed until 2025 innit
But Titan Quest was extremely boeing and repetitive

32gig will be a staple for this gen and early next gen
then we move to 64
protip anon you can download the full version on the upper left corner
unless Ganker now compresses stuff in which case disregard this
I don't like it when games look too realistic like this. I want my games to look like games, not real life.
Listen anon you get a (you) for trying, but I'm not giving you more.
What makes you think I'm joking? Why do you want games to look realistic? Genuine question. Do you get off to bigger numbers or something?
we're so fricking back
