Redguard was good, for its time and what it was. I don't know why people don't talk about it more, even as just a fun little curiosity of the past like Battlespire. It's clear Todd's still very fond of it since he sneaks in easter eggs referring to it in every game since.

Being "lost" in an "I don't know how to progress" way is much different from being "lost" in a "I haven't seen all there is to see but I'm sure my journey will eventually take me to something new" way.
Some of my earliest memories were being anxious in Morrowind after stumbling off the critical path. Not knowing the way back but not really knowing which way I had to go. Meeting all sorts of N'Wah and cats trying to convince me to take skooma.
How the frick do you get lost in a modern Bethesda game? Like anything post-Oblivion will drag you to a quest objective by your dick if you want it to.

creation engine is a fork of gamebyro, anon. not even the lastest one, its a fork from fallout 3's version of gamebyro. its why starfield wont have vehicles because they would have to make vehicle hats, like the train hat in fallout

CE is completely in house while gamebryo is middleware and not even owned by Bethesda. They ditched it so they could have more control of the code base because of things like the hat trains

did you not read the post, its forked FROM gamebyro. its still got shit from morrowind in it, back when gamebyro was called netimmerse. in 1997.

That in no way invalidates what I said it the improvements if CE over Gamebryo. UE 5 is the 4th revision of an engine from 1998

unreals shit too, but thats changing the subject. you said it wasnt gamebyro, now youve moved to "well its improved marginally". sure, if you wanna sidestep to that, go ahead, but its still gamebyro

In house engine versus an engine whose code base you don’t have control over. It”s built off of old code but is vastly improved and optimized for BGS’ needs. Ship of Theseus and such. You brought up an issue that was actually a complaint about gamebryo that Bethesda had wi to the engine which they turned into a funny factoid

>He literally can't deviate from a decade old script cause he knows shit all about engines
Sad!
Skyrim is CE. They ditched Gamebryo after a Fallout 3
CE is just an upgraded Gamebryo. Starfield is made with CE2
Which is a great engine that allows them to do all the things people love unique to their games, lets their devs always be working with tools they're comfortable with, and modders to go crazy with their games
The loud narrative from normalgays that BGS needs to switch engine is fricking moronic. All of Bethesdas problems would still all be present and so much of what makes them good would be lost. Unrealgays should all rope
But Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76 all have way points and markers with a compass that tells you exactly where to go.
holy frick way to take all the fun out of the game. >gee getting lost in space is boring i better ruin any sense of adventure i would get by finding my way home and google it!

I like Todd. He's a funny little man who sounds like a funny little woman. He seems to have a good sense of humor about the memes around him and his games. Even if I like his older stuff more, I am glad he is excited about making a game again - I hope that will show through in the quality, but even if it doesn't I'll likely play it because even when they're not strictly, technically good they're usually 'fun'.
Getting into gamedev myself really made me appreciate how difficult getting a game like Skyrim to even run is, it's nothing short of a miracle tee bee aitch.
You really do like to think 'it just works' because 'well it's not throwing errors', but the collision for this one random object is set just a liiiiiitle bit off and you won't notice it until you see a video on youtube of a player standing on a HIGHLY SPECIFIC type of bucket and levitating into the sky. Shit like that is SO easy to slip through the cracks because you're not going to exhaustively test every object colliding with every other object, you're just gonna assume that objects in the same class will all behave the same.
Now extrapolate that one bucket into the tens of thousands of different objects and variables in the game, it's no wonder there's bugs. And yeah, fan modders can sniff them out and fix them faster because they have the benefit of a committee of THOUSANDS of players to contribute bug reports in a post launch stable environment. When the game's still being actively worked on, you don't know if that bug is still going to be there on the next version you have to work with so you don't know if you should try to fix it a certain way and risk breaking something else.
I do environment design, I look at grass all day. It was literally suffering through trying to design scalable mountains that don't look like shit and you can't collision gllitch/bunnyhop up that made me so deeply empathic to Skyrim. Mountains are hard Anon.

I don't and I don't think much of you from your posts. Just this once though I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you are not clinically moronic, and that there is something deeper that you are rightfully aggrieved by even if you didn't actually present that point at all with your simple mention of an entirely solved shallow issue. Wowiee good work anon.
Yet every feature it has is 1:1 copied from No Mans Sky, except they only copied 10%....they forgot seemless flying/landing, no loadscreens, no MULTIPLAYER, no vehicles.
If anything, it means the game is a passion project. So there will be more 'soul' in it that in any recent TES or Fallout game. It's an inherently good thing.
The only question it will they be able to pull it off on a technical level.
>1:1 copied from No Mans Sky
Starfield and NMS aren't even in the same genre.
NMS didn't invent space exploration and Starfield is a RPG, not a crafting/survival game, it's a game that is vastly more complex than NMS, that why you can't have seemless everything with no loading.
You can call reality "shill" all you want, it's still reality.
Those comparisons with NMS are really moronic but I guess they're here as a proof that there barely isn't any game even remotely similar Starfield.

I waited so long to try NMS and figured it would scratch the space itch but it just made me more itchy. Starfield looks like it has actual content so I'm excited
It's not that the things you're asking for are too hard to implement, honestly it's probably internal QA testers if anything. From my time working with tester they pick the most brain dead, low skilled people who complain about not being able to find the exact spot where the thing is. If you give those people too much freedom they ACTUALLY get pissed off and complain about being lost and that navigation is unintuitive. If you made them actually land the ship they'd crash into shit, blow up, get mad, and say "this isn't fair I don't know how to get to the objective!" So they streamline anything that isn't wholly nesscary to enjoying the game as intended. You can still explore on foot, they'll compromise, flying isn't THAT big of a deal.
There's literally probably code for it in the game that's just been cut because of bad QA feedback. Feel free to screencap and post this when the game comes out.
>>can't fly around planets
Don't care >>can't go from space to planet / planet to space manually and without loading screens
Don't care >>can't land anywhere you want on planets
I think you can, but either way doesn't matter >>no vehicles or mounts
I'll admit this one was a bit disappointing >>90% of planets are lifeless
And? If anything it should be less. Earth is the only planet with life on it in our solar system >>VR will be a separate full price release like FO4 and Skyrim
Then just don't buy it moron >>no multiplayer
Doesn't matter moron

8 years ago the very THOUGHT of paid mods had the internet up in arms
now zoomers and alphies have just accepted it as a normal thing
>Creation Club
Dude, just use real mods.
>he thinks bethesda will allow people to make and upload their own mods for free
lol ok
People were up in arms cause they thought paid mods would be the end, that modders would flock to it to try and earn some money and the whole modding ecosystem would change as a result. Then Creation Club actually happened and people saw it was a bunch of uninteresting crap that didn't put a dent in free mods, much less compare to them. Even better, it's easy as shit to pirate CC content if you ever cared to touch it. Then Bethesda bundled all the CC mods with the anniversary edition. $120 worth of CC mods sold for $20 if you already own Skyrim SE. They all but admitted the CC wasn't the cash cow they thought it would be and gave up on it.
>They all but admitted the CC wasn't the cash cow they thought it would be and gave up on it.
I hope this is the case and don't try this shit with starfield.
From the exclusive skins you can get from pre-ordering I think they might try something new. It won't be the same model as Creation Club but it may well be even lamer. Take a look at what Ubisoft did for AC Valhalla or what Diablo IV did, that's the worst case scenario for MTX/FOMO in a singleplayer game. I'm not convinced they'll actually commit to such a thing cause they're still supporting modding and literally the only way Bethesda can compete with modders in post-launch content is by putting out expansion-tier DLCs. If they do go for it, it will fail again.
>>can't land anywhere you want on planets
This one is just straight up wrong.
If you watched the Direct they said you can pick a point and land there.
You aren't limited to the markers on the planet.
Some people really need to do their research before they speak.

this will be the best video game ever released to date. holy fricking shit. our children will be asking about this moment when we are older. you, me, all of us are a part of history in the making.
I don't think they'd use it, despite their... history of less than excellent voice acting. They're one of those studios that keeps hiring some guy's cousin to do the running animations even though they always look like shit, I don't think they'd snatch food out of the mouths of VAs they've been recycling for years. I think Sheogorath's voice actor said something about it recently, maybe it was another, but they seem to have a good relationship with him publicly at least. Maybe I'm optimistic
Todd mentioned the studio uses voice AI back in 2021 so that characters could have voiced dialogue before the VAs have done their work. Helps so that the devs have a better feeling of what the finished product will feel like much sooner.
Why is Ganker so terrified of Starkino?
Literally every day a dozen threads are made seething and trying to convince people to not play it
Are you all just marketers for a competing game?
Mix of shazamgays and two digit IQ individuals who think viewing the crowbcat and internet historian videos has given them some sort of insight into future BGS launches despite lacking the surrounding context of starfield pointing to it being a smooth and polished launch
I'm cautiously optimistic for this game, I think there's a few things to be legitimately concerned about. I haven't seen a single person on Ganker bring any of them up even once despite the dedicated anti-shilling taking place 24/7. All they can come up with is "its bad because pronouns" and "Todd and le sweet little lies its going to be an epic disaster like 76"
Lack of ground vehicles is the only valid criticism. i don't know why they chose that but maybe the planet maps are loading cells and shit like their previousgames and it couldn't keep up or something I dunno.
The devs chose to make the world detailed over having it load fast enough to support high speed travel. It’s not actually the engine itself but a limit placed in it so that your system or console don’t catch fire. You can actually uncap this in FO4 and you need to for certain mods
Fair enough. I'm not too bothered really but it does seem like something that should be in it. I guess you could juts take off and land on the other side of planet if you want ot if its a pain in the ass to walk / jetpack there.
>spends the early years shitposting about his games on usenet >fast forward 20 years and now people are doing it for him
Hes been playing the long game and it shows. Gorilla marketing is a potent tool when used properly.
I just think the aesthetic is neat. The Martian and Gravity are the only movies I can think of that have the same NASA-esque technology of next Thursday look. 0 games as far as I know. Alien Isolation would be the closest I guess, which explains why I liked it so much.
Nothing about the game is bait worthy. There's no woke sermonizing, no bear sex, no overpromised marketing or shill campaigns. Not a single thing to argue or takes sides about. Even the console war bullshit that clings to Starfield cause of the Microsoft purchase feels distant and uninteresting.
All of Ganker is holding their breath for its release, no other game can do that. Todd won.
While I enjoy BG3, outside of being turn based, it's the most safest game imaginable because >generic fantasy
I'm really holding my breath to see if Todd will be able to make a sci-fi game that will have a long hold on normalgays.
There's plenty interesting but you have to be an interesting person to actually see it. Nothing simple for the shazamgays to repeat on end. That's why they have to default to decade old talking points, bringing up gamebryo when they don't even understand how an engine works.
They were actually working on a space game around the time of Daggerfall's development but it got canned. It was going to run on the same engine as Future Shock and Daggerfall and was called The 10th Planet.
He wasn't in a position to do so, obviously. He didn't even get a project lead role until Fallout 3. Todd has spent half of his life grinding his way up the ladder to finally be able to make the game he's wanted to make for 25 years.

it's an open world RPG, it's not like you're stuck on a level and can't progress.
Why do zoomers want their hand held through everything?
>where you get lost and dont know where to go without googling
that's fromsoft games sir
no? what game did you play? I admit that I haven't played the Kings Field series, but everything else is pretty obvious where you have to go
>you get lost and dont know where to go without googling
KINO
>Its going to be boring fricking shit, where you get lost and dont know where to go without googling, just like all his other games.
Yes. Elder scrolls
Remember these are the people saying it's gonna be shit
Who the frick gets lost in Quest Trackers: Go Here: The Game?
How the frick do you get lost in a modern bethesda game
>being lost on a deserted planet looking for space treasure with ambient space orchestra playing in the background, while you gaze at the stars and planets in the sky
Holy kino
And then you fall through the floor because Gamebryo
They haven't used Gamebryo since Skyrim
Skyrim is CE. They ditched Gamebryo after a Fallout 3
creation engine is a fork of gamebyro, anon. not even the lastest one, its a fork from fallout 3's version of gamebyro. its why starfield wont have vehicles because they would have to make vehicle hats, like the train hat in fallout
You brought up an issue that was actually a complaint about gamebryo that Bethesda had wi to the engine which they turned into a funny factoid
and its still shit and still has outdated content/code. no excuses this time.
You probably don’t even know how to read code. Old code gets reused all the time if it serves its purpose. Your device is very likely using decades old code
and the os i use is shit as well. how does this change its using a fork of gamebyro from like 2008? remember, starfield is locked at 30 fps and wont have vehicles. gee i wonder why. could it be because creation engine, a fork of gamebyro, is fricking garbage? or was no vehicles and 30 fps "artistic choices"
More like your bios and what your hardware is hard coded to run regardless of os. The digital devices like your coffee maker and your air fryer still probably run on Java and use ARM
and its shit. ive had 4 different computers over the past 8 years, and all of them freeze if i boot it up, and let the screen turn off at the log in. itll wake up and ill see the clock is like 5 minutes off because it froze 5 minutes ago. and same with fricking phones. all of them, over time, the gps turns 90 degrees left, no matter what. yeah google maps and whatever ios's verson was, im going down the highway at 70 mph drifting sideways. tots bro. gg apple and samsung
>gamebryo is garbage
As opposed to UE and Unity, right?
when you get around to reading the other posts instead of speedreading, yeah, youll see that i said they were shit too. ages ago.
Yeah let's use Real Virtuality then!
Crying at Todd using gaybryo is absolutely pointless, unless you have a certain engine in mind that he can use instead.
well as the other anon helpfully pointed out, its in house now, they can fix all the awful problems in the remaining gamebyro code, any time they want!
they just...didnt. and now we have no vehicles and locked to 30 fps, things that have been a problem with the engine. for two decades.
>they just...didnt.
For absolutely no reason other than to annoy anon on Ganker, obviously.
>we have no vehicles
Good.
I've played like 15 games total in my 20 years of gaming that had enjoyable vehicles, other than that it was chore. Wouldn't trust Bethesda to do vehicles.
>locked to 30 fps
Isn't it for consoleBlack folk only?
On PC it will also have mods that fix FPS uncap issues, like f4 did.
and vehicles. yeah, some unpaid neet basement dweller will do what todds entire development team couldnt do in 20 years in about a week. i guess, technically, the gamebyro engine ISNT bad. todd and bethseda is just incredibly incompetent. my opinion has changed, thank you anon. i feel like we made progress here.
>no vehicles
Spaceships, moron. They made ships you can build from the ground up and can walk inside of. That is way more intensive than building a car you can only sit in. Clearly not an engine issue.
oh yeah that turn into loading screens when you want to leave a planet lmao. wonder if those are going to turn out to be the same train hats from fallout 3. which they did already. yep, being inside a moving vehicle isnt new.
>He literally can't deviate from a decade old script cause he knows shit all about engines
Sad!
Nah thats Star Shitizen
CE is just an upgraded Gamebryo. Starfield is made with CE2
Which is a great engine that allows them to do all the things people love unique to their games, lets their devs always be working with tools they're comfortable with, and modders to go crazy with their games
The loud narrative from normalgays that BGS needs to switch engine is fricking moronic. All of Bethesdas problems would still all be present and so much of what makes them good would be lost. Unrealgays should all rope
>frogposter is a brainlet

This so much, Arena is the only good TES cause it doesn't have any of Todd's influence on it.
Are there any leaks?
Are alien npcs in the game and just a closely guarded secret?
If so how do they look?
That's all I want to know.
Todd strikes me as one of the few people in gamedev that genuinely enjoys the games he works on, and wants others to enjoy them, Skyrim memes aside.
When the game's still being actively worked on, you don't know if that bug is still going to be there on the next version you have to work with so you don't know if you should try to fix it a certain way and risk breaking something else.
...I just think we should all be nicer to Todd.
Touch some fricking grass
kek I'm imagining you saying this to a dev that just finished a shift working on your favourite game. How pathetic
I do environment design, I look at grass all day. It was literally suffering through trying to design scalable mountains that don't look like shit and you can't collision gllitch/bunnyhop up that made me so deeply empathic to Skyrim. Mountains are hard Anon.
Collisions don't need to match visual geometries, moron nodev.
I didn't want to sit here and articulate my long and specific grudge with mountain design in a sad yoshi post, you know what I was trying to communicate.
Wowiee good work anon.
wasn't it supposed to come out last year? they took their sweet time with it.

Dont care ill be playing AC6
>not playing both
25 Years.
Yet every feature it has is 1:1 copied from No Mans Sky, except they only copied 10%....they forgot seemless flying/landing, no loadscreens, no MULTIPLAYER, no vehicles.
You're good then dude. NMS is clearly the better game, so when everyone is playing Starfield you'll be playing NMS instead. You're the real winner
>YOU MUST PLAY LATEST THING, MUST CONSOOM
Nobody with a shred of good taste would touch either of those games btw
If anything, it means the game is a passion project. So there will be more 'soul' in it that in any recent TES or Fallout game. It's an inherently good thing.
The only question it will they be able to pull it off on a technical level.
>1:1 copied from No Mans Sky
Starfield and NMS aren't even in the same genre.
NMS didn't invent space exploration and Starfield is a RPG, not a crafting/survival game, it's a game that is vastly more complex than NMS, that why you can't have seemless everything with no loading.
You can call reality "shill" all you want, it's still reality.
Those comparisons with NMS are really moronic but I guess they're here as a proof that there barely isn't any game even remotely similar Starfield.
i can't wait for the crowbcat video
>I used to be a space cowboy like you, but then I took an UAP to the knee.
>can't fly around planets
>can't go from space to planet / planet to space manually and without loading screens

>90% of planets are lifeless
>VR will be a separate full price release like FO4 and Skyrim
>no multiplayer
>microtransactions out the ass with Creation Club
>bethgays are already trying to cope and defend the copious amounts of bugs the game is guaranteed to have
>can't land anywhere you want on planets
well shit I know that isn't true. Can't wait to see what else you're wrong about
>no, you see, clicking a spot on a map and then teleporting there is totally the same as actually flying around and landing where you want
It's a time saver. If they let you fly around in atmosphere there would be nothing to do since ship to ship combat can only happen in space
>they should have made ship to ship combat in atmosphere then
You can say "could have been better" for literally any part of any video game ever made
>It's a time saver.
This is cope. Bethshitsda aren't talented enough to do space-planet/planet-space travel, especially not with their shit awful duct taped engine.
>If they let you fly around in atmosphere there would be nothing to do since ship to ship combat can only happen in space
How sad
>You can say "could have been better" for literally any part of any video game ever made
I'm just asking for basic things small indie devs are able to do.
it s a space ship not an atmosphere ship sim nerd, no one care about your tedious sim shit
>it s a space ship not an atmosphere ship sim nerd
And yet the ship DOES land on the planet, just not manually and only after clicking a spot on a map and then waiting through a loading screen. Fricking KEK
>"waiting" for loading screen bad

Bethgays are the lowest lifeforms in gaming, even lower than Game Freak gays.

Snoy barely even has fanboys, at least not loud proud ones like Soulsgays and Bethdrones. People buy Playstations to play madden and cod they aren't on gaming boards

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>Snoy barely even has fanboys, at least not loud proud ones like Soulsgays and Bethdrones

Whatever, NMS still sucks ass moron
Infinitely better than Loading Simulator 2032 from bethshitsda
OK go play that then, have fun doing seamless nothing moron
>have fun doing seamless nothing
Have fun waiting through loading screens every time you do anything and having no freedom to do whatever you want
Both games are boring shit
your son that hasn't been born yet is a boring homosexual
Todd won't let his shitty game engine go. They'll be using Gamebryo as long as he's at the company and all their games will be technologically gimped because of it
You've never had a job before, have you?
>absolute freedom to fly anywhere and land anywhere
There's nowhere to go, every planet, space station, and freighter is the same
>no loading screens outside of the initial load, warping via hyperdrive or black hole, or stargate
And as a result of that, the environments are sparse and settlements are pathetic
>multiple vehicles and can mount nearly any creature for traversal
And nowhere to ride them to
>a dozen DLC and expansion tier updates all for free, even 7 years later
That still haven't fixed the core issues with the game,
>free VR
Extremely poorly implemented, I hated every second that I tried it
>multiplayer
Spend time with a buddy exploring empty wastelands and having nothing to do together
>no microtransactions of any kind
Cause they have nothing to offer.
NMSgays are coping, pretending that the game has changed when it's just gotten a few extra jangly keys to grind for. It's still the same shitty boring resource management game it was on release.
reminder that people defending NMS as good on Ganker only became commonplace shortly after a certain youtube video came out.
Really jogs the ol' noggin.
I certainly have a different opinion about Sean Murray after that, but the game's still a boring slog to me personally. But I no longer actively hate and shit on it knowing what I know now about Sony's marketing frickery. That's how opinions work, you get new information and then they change sometimes.
Which video?
Internet Historian did a recap of the game's disastrous marketing and launch, then spent about 30 minutes sucking them off for providing post launch support lol. It nice they did that instead of taking off with the money but should we really be praising what should be a standard?
It should be praised until it becomes the standard
No one ever jerked off the Deep Rock Galactic devs to an audience of 22 million but they're doing free post launch support AND the game was already fun when it came out, that's all I'm saying.
People were jerking off to the game in general, fricking everyone gushing over the game everywhere. That seems to have changed recently because they apparently are doing shitty updates now?I don't have the game
I waited so long to try NMS and figured it would scratch the space itch but it just made me more itchy. Starfield looks like it has actual content so I'm excited
>Defending NMS
Go away sonypal.
I can’t wait for mods to add atmospheric entry and then for people to complain in the comments sections about vanilla travel being better
Don't care still preordered
>Creation Club
Dude, just use real mods.
>>can't fly around planets
Don't care
>>can't go from space to planet / planet to space manually and without loading screens
Don't care
>>can't land anywhere you want on planets
I think you can, but either way doesn't matter
>>no vehicles or mounts
I'll admit this one was a bit disappointing
>>90% of planets are lifeless
And? If anything it should be less. Earth is the only planet with life on it in our solar system
>>VR will be a separate full price release like FO4 and Skyrim
Then just don't buy it moron
>>no multiplayer

Already confirmed to have less bugs than any other Bethesda launch
out the ass with Creation Club
>he doesn't know
>microtransactions out the ass with Creation Club
this is the part everyone conveniently forgets
8 years ago the very THOUGHT of paid mods had the internet up in arms
now zoomers and alphies have just accepted it as a normal thing
>he thinks bethesda will allow people to make and upload their own mods for free
Some people really need to do their research before they speak.
>you can land anywhere you want
>as long as you pick from these points
lel
You pick with your pointer on anywhere on the planet.
Try again shitposter.
the cope will be fun when it turns out lol nope. i bet oceans and mountains are off limits lol
>wtf why can't I land on the ocean? Shitty broken game
THIS is the level of cope we're on now?
yeah, basically lol. if there was vehicles there would be ocean travelling capable vehicles. like a fricking space ship that can land in any atmosphere and go FTL wouldnt be able to figure out how to "float" lmao. water planets? nope, scratch that shit out, itll be a big red X for landing
I shall play the game in four or five years.
Actually, scratch that. Maybe when they release the legendary edition.
I still play unmodded skyrim to this day and I will be playing starfield for over a decade as well
Unironically why is there no hype when Skyrim was the biggest game of the 21st century?
Because fallout 76 had a lot of hype and gamers were let down. (Redfall too but slightly different)
Redfall had literally 0 hype.
Because Skyrim was garbage. And then Fallout 4 and 76 were garbage. So now even the biggest morons are aware that Bethesda games aren't good
The landing is an auto-pilot system, problem solved
What percentage of your life savings would you bet that the initial selection in the character creator is gonna be a black guy?
The Creator opens up to one of forty different preset characters or "Biometric IDs"
#1 is Todd Howard
Pure kino
this will be the best video game ever released to date. holy fricking shit. our children will be asking about this moment when we are older. you, me, all of us are a part of history in the making.
I'm happy for him. I'm only buying it once though.
he's gotta be absolutely shitting himself that he has to follow BG3. god i hope its a disaster
So sad that Baldurs Gate 3 came out right before. Now no one is going to care about Starfield anymore.
Todd Howard will never produce another good videogame for the rest of his life. He hasn't been involved with a good game in 20 years
>todd announces they paid voice actors for like 100,000 lines of dialogue
>2 weeks later voice a.i gen comes out
>hfw
I don't think they'd use it, despite their... history of less than excellent voice acting. They're one of those studios that keeps hiring some guy's cousin to do the running animations even though they always look like shit, I don't think they'd snatch food out of the mouths of VAs they've been recycling for years. I think Sheogorath's voice actor said something about it recently, maybe it was another, but they seem to have a good relationship with him publicly at least. Maybe I'm optimistic
Todd mentioned the studio uses voice AI back in 2021 so that characters could have voiced dialogue before the VAs have done their work. Helps so that the devs have a better feeling of what the finished product will feel like much sooner.
>email dev
>post his private email
gay
I've emailed a bunch of devs and most of them reply amazingly but also add to not share the email
All they can come up with is "its bad because pronouns" and "Todd and le sweet little lies its going to be an epic disaster like 76"
its a fricking bethesda game moronic zoomoids
anything post Skyrim is soulless wreck with boring gameplay loop rivaling that of Ubisoft
Go look at Star Citizen gameplay and tell me the game looks like a passion project, go on, I want to laugh.
Todd Howard has never lied.
>talking about climbing mountains all the way back in '97
I love that manlet
Todd always gets his.
Winning since the 90s
Starfield is the first bethesda game I feel any hype for and I'm scared
Good because I'll be bored of BG3 by then.
Why didn't anyone throw him a bone?
I like to think Todd started his "shady" marketing after society didn't respond to his request for Ultima 6.
I wouldn't be so sure
Todd really said he bugged bethesda constantly to hire him and then this is how he spent his early years lmao. That’s the grind I guess, it’s humble.
>spends the early years shitposting about his games on usenet
>fast forward 20 years and now people are doing it for him
Hes been playing the long game and it shows.
I've bought skyrim 37 times in the last hour in the hopes Todd notices and sends me an early review key.
>considering preordering the game despite not being able to play it for almost a year
Jesus christ
What is wrong with me
Its really kind of sad this thread has been up for like 8 hours and has less than 200 posts. Skyrim with guns in space is just not hyping people.
Todd won.
While I enjoy BG3, outside of being turn based, it's the most safest game imaginable because
>generic fantasy
I'm really holding my breath to see if Todd will be able to make a sci-fi game that will have a long hold on normalgays.
That’s one hell of a spin you put on there being nothing interesting to talk about relating to this lukewarm game.
There's plenty interesting but you have to be an interesting person to actually see it. Nothing simple for the shazamgays to repeat on end. That's why they have to default to decade old talking points, bringing up gamebryo when they don't even understand how an engine works.
It really is telling that the biggest most common complaint is muh ladders muh cars
and loading screens, and empty maps, and ugly npcs, and fallout 3 gunplay
>please, remember FFXVI
>remember this other shit weeb game
lol why. if i think about some gay japs starfield wont have problems? here lemme try
nope still shit. lol.
todd will save us
So do you think it's going to be better or worse than current No Man's Sky?
>Combat
>Weapons
>Dungeons
>Questlines
>Companions
>Character creation
>Ship building
It's automatically vastly better than NMS.
When will someone make a space exploration game with accurate Kerbal-style physics?
They were actually working on a space game around the time of Daggerfall's development but it got canned. It was going to run on the same engine as Future Shock and Daggerfall and was called The 10th Planet.
come on man, you can shop better then that. just lower the opacity on the layer with the spade and itll look way more natural, doesnt take much
>can't pull sick donuts on a desert world with a space dune buggy
Feelsbadman
>amd favoritism
>moders will have to fix it anyway
Im so tired of todds shit
>Todd's dream game of 25 years is finally coming out in two weeks
>and it's going to suck ass
poetic
test
If it was so important to him, why didn't he do it a long time ago?
He wasn't in a position to do so, obviously. He didn't even get a project lead role until Fallout 3. Todd has spent half of his life grinding his way up the ladder to finally be able to make the game he's wanted to make for 25 years.
Maybe he wasn't convincing enough to the people who decided which games be made and that says a lot.
Yes I suppose whatever conclusion you've settled on does say a lot to you.
These men are in charge of saving video games.
I'm worried, bros. Todd seems to have aged so much these last few years. Maybe Starfield is gonna be his last game.
He still has one last game to give us after toddfield.
One last ride, for old time's sake
>Todd's dream game
>still limits his dream game with shitty old engine that won't do it justice and it just F4 in space
>crashes to desktop in your way
In the future they would have spacegoogle anyway, you could look up googlespacemaps
Been a leak or two with reviewers saying its really good, looking forward to launch.
>trusting reviewers ever
im a shazam poster but im not touching starfield, todd posting is too powerful
Ok Todd, I might pirate your goyslop game in a year after people have modded all the nonwhites out of it
