The first game seemed alright. Sure in many ways it was just Uncharted with nu-Lara as a protagonist, but in itself that wasn't terrible. Quite a few people liked it.
Then the second game was the exact same thing. And some people bought it but were bored.
Then the third game was the exact same thing. And no one bought it cause they already knew.

It was just really fricking cringe and actually kind of offensive that CD would put something like that not only in front of the work of core design (the original TR devs) but also aspyr, the people that actually made the remaster. CD needs to fricking die already so they can never touch tomb raider again. I don't even know how they're still involved with the IP after the reboot trilogy failed so hard.
The reboot trilogy wasn't a complete failure.
The first game seemed alright. Sure in many ways it was just Uncharted with nu-Lara as a protagonist, but in itself that wasn't terrible. Quite a few people liked it.
Then the second game was the exact same thing. And some people bought it but were bored.
Then the third game was the exact same thing. And no one bought it cause they already knew.
