yes.
early in his career he was actually upright and honest. even recused himself from reviewing games that his company worked on when he was doing Electric Playground.
>early in his career he was actually upright and honest. even recused himself from reviewing games that his company worked on when he was doing Electric Playground.
Hilarious. He reviewed Metroid Prime, then went around and reviewed it, then later concocted some elaborate story about how he influenced the game design with his sound effects but wasn't credited.
He has been lying since day 1, and it seems post 2000's he didn't get as much consistent work so his lying just got more outrageous to compesnate. Plus all the podcasts, and youtubes, and gave him an endless ability to lie and spin.
he's a (former) vidya composer and sfx guy
>former
He put his house for sale, so I don't think he's doing so hot.
Find me the credits for EarthWorm Jim 1 or 2 (which is the most famous work he's associated with). It just says:
>Music & Sound Effects - Tommy Tallarico Studios Inc.
https://www.mobygames.com/game/373/earthworm-jim-2/credits/genesis/
Then all the interviews and everything after thta is how HE did the music to those games, and never talks about anyone else.

He's still downplaying this. By all accounts these people have come forward and say that they did everything, and Tommy merely took credit later. Tony Bernteitch has said that he created the Banjo piece for his old demo, and Tommy just took it whole cloth.
so is he worse than billy mitchell?
Billy Mitchell would not be relevant at all if he was known only for his real scores back in the day. He wouldn't have had a company, been in a documentary, or anything if he had the grace to just fade away when other surpassed him. So I'd say Billy Mitchell is worse.

there are stages to his madness.
early on he was happy to put people in the credits

later he said they just helped him
today he wouldn't mention them by name at all
He strikes me as a guy who entered the industry when it was full of talent and technical fricking wizards but wanted to be THE video game music guy. In spite of some real talent, both his own and in his company just never got the fame he was after which lead to him just making increasingly stupid shit up to chase a crown that was never going to be his.
His company was doing really well all throughout the 90's to early 00's. By 2009 work seems to have dried up with Sonic and the Black Knight being seeminly the last "real game" he worked on that wasn't some kind of mobile or flash game. The concept of trying to use real musical instruments for CD audio was novel at the time at least in the West (I believe PC Engine CD games did it first but whatever). So he at least had something to stand out.
He should have just kept his mouth shut and his grandstanding to a minimum. Guy's company was decently respected and by all accounts was doing fine, and was making loads of money between that and VGL. Got to hang out with him for an hour or two at one of the VGL concerts when I worked at a stadium in 2008 or so. He genuinely seemed pretty cool at the time.
his mother really is proud of him
Is his name actually Tommy?
he's got 7 awards to put on his 7 Hollywood hills
When he said Smash sucks.
Did he pay the money he owed to the gangsters?
Is that Ben Shapiro
With simplistic and basic as it is, he probably did do the music to Color a Dinosaur himself.
yes.

yeah he went screwy later on. video games live must have really done something to his ego.

i simply don't agree.
on day 1 he was still crediting individual employees, which is how he was found out lying later.

What he always wanted to be was a rock star, and to live the rock star life with a rock star house.
so is he worse than billy mitchell?
he isn't anywhere near as lawsuit happy as b***hell.
Yeah he at least directed and wrote Gamer Warz, his magnum opus.

Fricking scum didn't even compose Spider-Man's soundtrack. FRICK HIM

Because he has this intense need to be liked by everyone at all times.
