The game is like auto-battler, you make setup and watch the little guy run through it. You can slow down and interact, but a lot of the time you are just watching. So, ironically, because its a game about mostly watching, its dull to watch someone else play it. Just play yourself. How long depends on how good you are. I have 17 hours on Steam, but I added my custom move speed in the config files to make it faster.

Great game. Worth finishing. Yeah it has some hard parts and some dumb RNG shit at times. But overall, it's beatable. I'm sure smarter players than me could beat it faster/more easily than I did.
The music is great too. The story/lore of the game is also pretty good but hidden overall. Still a great and fun game worth every penny.
The speed you beat it is only related to how fast you decide to start building up the village and min-maxing and someone telling you or you figuring out the best strat for cards.

It's too hard until you unlock forests and dunes, then eventually you get the ability to stack enough buffs and accessories that the game can't do a lot to you.
Fun experience, shame that the war stopped them from adding new classes or tiles, I think the core gameplay loop was a fun version of a semi-idle game, my only real complaint would be that by later stages you can fill up the board to your liking, ans once that happens the game basically calcifies and nothing much changes. They should've implemented more RNG monsters or tiles to pop up randomly over time
It's been a while since I played last, but didn't they reduce all enemy hp by a percentage each? I seem to remember that being a useful benefit, especially when you get to double up the effect with a river, but I could be thinking of a different tile

They're ideal for Rogue, combined with group damage since you want fights short as possible to minimize the chance of getting raped because you have no defense, something rocks and mountains won't help with at all. There's no limit to them so you can reduce everything to 1hp if you want. They turn adjacent rivers into oasis, which helps by making enemies slower to snipe them before they can act.
The game was out for a year with no development before the sanctions. They weren't in a hurry to expand on it.

I agree with this, the game should've had more random tile spawns, that would force you to include and keep tech cards to do damage control, and to just disrupt your plants so you have to change and adapt the layout.
