BG3 does have flaws and bugs, as well as some bad game design decisions. Is that enough to drop the score when the same standard is never applied to AAA slop? The amount of genuinely bad and mediocre games that get 10/10 from ign is astonishing.

so far my review for BG3 is a solid 8. it gets just as much wrong as it gets right, and the combat is painfully slow and un-fun.
face it: take the "baldur's gate" off the title and it's just a slightly above average RPG.
