I think its more that this type of game while clearly trying to capture a specific audience isnt actually made by them. This reeks of a high level comittee going "Market testing says drag queens currently get a lot of audience reaction" (good or bad reaction doesnt matter only engagement matters). So you get told to make a bunch of disjointed slop with no actual passion behind it.
Like there are games made by the people this game is targeting that I dont like or find interesting in anyway but can tell someone on the team cared about it. I dont think anyone cares here.

I would bet the jap handler who checks in twice a year on this project is thinking "I don't get it, this would never sell in japan, but surely these guys wouldn't purposefully put out a turd."
Well that definitely highlights how little you care about Total War or other Creative Assembly projects, this is a different team entirely. If anything Alien Isolation 2 or another game like that died for this, that's the team.
If your going to paint some flag colors on your models at least be a good paint please for the love of god. Trying to execute a rainbow correctly on a model is one of the hardest things you can do, your either trying to blend 7 colors together on a tiny surface or get very straight lines. It almost always looks like trash.
