Nothing other than the plot taking a bit too long to finally get started, the Olivert/Schera romance happening offscreen and some characters sucking gameplaywise
Nothing, it was great.
Nothing
>The evil e-girl you save in the first arc grows up and is datable later on
kino
One of the worst games in the series and anyone who disagrees doesn't like Kiseki in the first place since 3rd is downright antithetical to the series' core identity.
the rest of the series is straight up built on top of plot threads developed in 3rd
Still the best game in the series. Morons told me Sky 3rd was the worst Sky game and Cold Steel III was the best CS game. Both wrong and both moronic.
Like 90% of posts talking trash about Sky and praising Cold Steel are either ironic or made by Reanposters
3rd is the worst game in the entire series and CS3 is the worst CS.
No, CS4 and Reverie are infinitely worse than any other Kiseki game
Even CS2 is better than them
Reverie has the best combat in the series on Abyss difficulty so it's far from the worst.
?
If anything 2 felt a bit overlong, 3 was quite refreshing from another perspective and further focusing on "secondary" characters (let's admit Sky's main protags weren't the stars of the show anyway). The only sin 3 commited was making certain Erebonian characters too interesting with its absolutely kino teases of future developments, but then Coldsteel completely shat the bed in every aspect and didn't live up to the hype.
Cold Steel was actually supposed to happen after Sky but Falcom can't pace shit to save their life so it was bogged down by trying to reconcile events happened in Crossbell before actually advancing the plot. Also, Rean's harem was basically built off the foundation in Crossbell.
Coldsteel is mediocre regardless, but it also didn't help that it was the first prequel I played after 5 games of plot advancement.
I just kept wondering how the frick they managed to make Erebonia such a boring and uninteresting region despite what was teased before.
I can't imagine how people felt on release, especially after the crossbell games. To go back in time to a literal-who student who offers nothing new, and the game's plot doesn't even end after Azure. Coldsteel was so boring it stopped my marathon, with all other 5 games I'd finish one and start playing the sequel the very next day. Now I've stopped 6 or so hours into Coldsteel2 with zero interest in moving forward.
This but with Hajimari. I'm happy with that being my final Trails game until the franchise is completely finished. It's a good stopping point.
I'm genuinely concerned I might die before they finish the series.
For a lot of people whether they started with Sky, Zero, or CS, CS2 seems to be the great filter where they stop or have to take a break.
>Liberl and Erebonia supposed to be the main stars of the franchise
>half the games are about Crossbell
It's for the best that Kevin, Richard and co don't appear past Ao, at least they weren't dragged in the mud by Sen and Kuro's writing like some characters have
Elaborate, what has Kuro done to the characters?
I tapped out of the franchise and don't regret it.
Kuro is full of wokeshit
Cry us a river, Gus. A Japanese fujo series isn't going to appeal to rednecks.
Zin became a loser, losing to a pack of mobs, a shard clone of him, and gets told by fricking walter of all things for being a pussy
Renne became miss perfect, lusting for the MC like an average harem member #7, her 3rd door got semi retconned, as well as her trauma arc
Kilika is non-existent
Somehow Walter improved and is now a cool dandy
Falcom try to give stakes to Kuro's event by saying what's happening in Kuro is way worse than anything that happened in previous arc, like the world war, the civil war, etc... same for Kuro's characters, they belittle every previous arc's characters to show how strong Kuro's characters are
>her 3rd door got semi retconned
3rd itself was a retcon of her backstory and one that they very clearly regret and have been trying to backpedal on ever since.
>expecting skycucks to have any reading comprehension to understand that
Yeah I wonder if 3rd had a different writer or something cause it's so dark and edgy and completely tonally inconsistent with the rest of the series that it just doesn't feel right.
Haven't even gotten to 3rd yet but they definitely state what happened to Renne in SC.
The entire setup is weird, out of place, and completely unnecessary.
Falcom's history is that of a revolving door.
Did you forget Hamel's massacre and Joshua canonically bombing buildings, which killed lots of innocents?
Trails always had dark stuff happening in the background, if anything the problem is that over time they made the series less dark and edgy.
>12 games in and there is a single trace of all the dozens of terrorist attacks Joshua performed
>will never be forced to atone for his sins because all his past crimes vanished without a single trace
So it's either Sakamoto or Imura who write some edgy stuff in 3rd/Zero/Azure
Well, too bad they don't write for falcom anymore
good riddance
Yeah, they've been constantly trying to reconcile what they put in 3rd with the rest of the series.
>as well as her trauma arc
What? She literally screams and shits herself when her memories are brought up but le ebin ball.
Well, at least in Kuro 2, they existed and she didn't really create a personality for them, it was "them", like their soul or whatever, kind of acting as guardian angel inside her to protect her from being hurt. She never healed from it before Kuro 2
>3rd door got semi retconned
??? From what i heard they doubled down on the 3rd door scene. And make it canon that shes literally a child prostitute and make tulpa of herself to ease the pain
>everyone tells me SC is the best jrpg of the last 20 years
>it's the most generic naruto anime slop I've ever played
Dumping this franchise. I put up with 100 hours of mediocrity for this?
I was surprised too. FC was this comfykino adventure with some intrigue then SC immediately becomes shonenshit. I haven't beaten SC yet but I heard 3rd is secretly the actual best so I'm looking forward to that.
SC is straight up shit until like chapter 6 or 7, people only say it's better because it does have a couple really good moments near the end which makes people forget all the dull moments
If you like FC you will probably like Crossbell too, just comfy small scale stuff with great pacing
Meeting the villains each chapter can be a bit cliche, but it was fun running around as a bracer. And with Olivier.
The anime shit in the final chapters of sc was the worst part.
It's kino in the prologue, shit in chapter 1 to 3, then back to kino from 4 to 8.
Overall best in the series for sure.
>it does have a couple really good moments near the end which makes people forget all the dull moments
I feel like this describes a lot of the Trails games fans pretend are good
At least personally I can say I like CS because it has constant kino decently spaced out with comfy moments.
Though yes, I do like the mic drops near the end.
I would be very curious as to what you considered kino.
Pretty much most of it really.
Babies first JRPG. Most people who love Sky have it as one of their first ever experiences with it hence why they praise the generic shlock that Sky is as some kind of ground breaking thing.
Sounds like what happens with any baby's first anything.
Yeah, everything's original once. It's really easy to spot when Sky is just as generic and trope filled as Crossbell, Cold Steel and Kuro are and yet you constantly see people complain about that fact in the later games as if anything had changed.
The worst written Trails game. CS puts it to shame which is embarasssing.
you're a full blown moron
Nothing, it's okay.
Making Osborne look cool
I think huge fans of the 3rd are generally not big on the series in the first place since they probably don't mind all the npc dialogue and towns being gone.
The character interactions are pretty fun but it feels more like a fanservice spin-off than anything.
Sky 3rd>FC>SC
SC can frick off with it's moronic usage of plot armor or Weissman suddenly becoming moronic so Estelle can save the day.
Kevin was too based of an MC. Nobody has came close to him ever since
Just getting to the end of SC and most characters are over level 90.
Please tell me 3rd doesn't continue the trend into BIG NUMBER frickery. End game level of 150 and 25k HP always annoys me in jrpgs. Keep it simple
The entire series is like that because of its very nature. Sorry you're gonna have to move to a different JRPG series.
Pretty sure you can get up to level 250 in Haji
People simply realized the sky trilogy is a boring nothingburger but blame it on the 3rd instead of rightfully blaming the whole trilogy.
It doesn't help that 3rd uses a lot of FC assets after SC already did that too.
what you said simply applies to each arc. They are all boring nothingburgers.
Kevin's story was interesting but the game itself didn't do much for the series. It was a fun dungeon crawl with unique character interaction but definitely flawed. Reverie/Hajimari tried to recapture that same feel, but missed the mark by being way over the top.
Dana's novel came out! WOW
Feenatards...not like this...
Poor Feena doesn't even get a mention T_T. Adol wants Dana forever!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Laxia...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I'll allow it, Laxia deserves happiness and her daddy issues were getting out of hand with Adol.
Adol x Dana together forever <3 <3 <3 <3
If that's not true love I don't know what is
Yes. And Keep in mind this is the OFFICIAL. O F F I C I A L NOVELIZATION. DANA WON.
I'll be sure to spread thr word whenever the subject comes up
Nothing the game is awesome and a cool twist on the usual Kiseki formula. You should've posted CS1
is this the most iconic moment in the series
Sky 1 ending or Arios fight in Azure is probably more iconic but this is also a great moment.
The Arios that let MC's older brother bleed out and continued with all the plans, who is still good friends with the MC? haha.. very iconic.
How does fricked up morality make it les iconic? Arios is a shady fricker who while may not be a pure evil character he does bad things.
For me, it's the disappointment of all the build up of Ao that is memorable. so shit like that pops into my mind. They payoff doesn't deliver.
No, this is.
my blood pressure is rising from watching this shit. way to ruin the fricking moment with Sara right before this.
god I hate CS.
ReanCHADS we cannot lose
Not enough of it.
Nothing, it's the best Kiseki game.
I unironically really like Trails 3rd. It mixes things up and it's really comfy if treated as a nice epilogue for the various characters. Kevin is also a cool character.
I really like how the soundtrack is a mix up in style and it does a really good job selling the vibe of the place.
this thread made me realize 3rd just has the memebutcher effect where people praise generic slop because it's baby's first edgeshit
Oh settle down it's not even that edgy.
Nothing
FC = shit until the school arc where Stelle realizes she's in love, then it goes from good to awesome
SC = kind of shit prologue, nice chapters with Olivier and Kevin, great music and atmosphere, insane twist, dumb as frick finale
3rd = great all around, awesome music, lovable protagonists
You are no longer exploring a world. You are now stuck in a dimension hub. Doors were the best part.
It's like an analogy for Zemuria, which is no longer part of its world from Nayuta but is instead stuck in a pocket dimension.
Nothing went wrong. I actually went into the game thinking I wouldn't like it but by the end of the game it won me over. Same with trails from zero I hated the new setting at first but it ended up being my favorite in the whole series.
Kiseki is the greatest game series of all time. All of them are top-notch games. Ironic weebs need not exist.
it has ries and that makes it a good game
