I had played pc version of mgs2, and, for some reason, strangling didn't work correct, so i had to tap button to either send them sleeping or to kill them. Because of this there was quickly repeating squeaky sound, which was fun as hell. So i ended up doing "kill everybody" just because of how fun it was with this sound. I also had the river of exactly same angle broken neck guys in mgs 3.

Thats normal controls matey
If you're not on European Extreme not only did you not beat the game, you didn't even play it.
Nobody has ever beat that shit.
Tool assisted, fake
Are you moronic?
I did beat MGS2 on EE "if you get seen it's an instant game over", and it was a pain in the ass. The game gets reduced to something that's not fun compared to regular modes. The difficulty is pushed to an extreme degree to the point where the rope breaks. I did it once, and not doing it again.
Will stick to hard (or regular extreme) for future playthroughs because I want to have a good time playing.
This but instead of Reddit Extreme it's collecting all the dog tags.
>reddit extreme
Imagine being a dev and thinking "hmm, for the American version, best not include the hardest difficulty". Many such cases (Mario). They're right though
>European Extreme
>Game Over if Discovered
>No radar
Yep, it's MGS time
>forced gameovers
>shoot all the frogs
>run to next area
>repeat
>start playing game
>be presented with snake lust provoking skin-tight suit
>jerk off to his perfect ass
>cum
>lose all motivation to keep playing
Great "gameplay"
>call Para-Medic
>jerk off to her face and voice
Great "gameplay"
snake did the same
Or you can not use tranq
I like his pride t-shirt
Do a CQC only, E.Extreme run, like it was intended.
>defeat every enemy
>go to the next stage
great "gameplay"
1>4>5>PW>2>3
You might not like it, but its the truth.
3 > 1 > PW/5 > 6/V > 2 >>>>>>>>>>> 4
You might not like it, but this is the Kojimbo truth.
3 suffers the most from repetition in my opinion. The environment, tools, objectives are too consistent. The story is also predictable and only really enjoyable the first time you play it. 4 is underrated, sure the cutscenes are too long and it can be burdensome. But it has so much flair and innovation. Its cinematic and challenging with a ton of massive switch ups that gives the game a ton of variety and memorable moments and characters.
Respectfully.
MGS3 (9.5) > MGS2 (9.2) > MGSPW (9.0) > MGS1 (8.5) >>>>> MGS V (5.0) >>>>> MGS4 (4.0)
Is MGS 3 the most philosophical and insightful game? no, of it's series? also no, but MGS3 finds the perfect balance between: Codecs, Cutscenes, Gameplay, Bosses, Story, and Characters, that's why it's the best, MGS 2 sacrifices too much for the twist, the last third of the game there's almost no sneaking.
MGS1 would need better gameplay for me to place it that high.
3 > 2 > V > PW > 1 > 4
3=2>4>1>PW>V
Sorry bucko.
2 = 3 > 1 > PW > Revengeance = Ghost Babel < 4 < PO < dog shit < V = TTS
List of objective game quality. Everything up to and including parts of 4 is still kino and 'Metal Gear' at its core.
With how many people place V anywhere other than the bottom I am honestly glad the series is dead.
I'm sorry I like playing games
Just because V does not have any sort of substance or thought put into its story, which is basically Kojima copy pasting shit from books he did not understand into shit he makes up as he goes along (as always), does not mean V has any sort of good gameplay.
It fricks up shit that a portable game from PSP did better.
Stealth gameplay in Peace Walker sucked wiener you're not fooling anyone
I mean the ancillary systems attached to the gameplay like managing mother base, unlockables, likeabilty of recruitable soldiers and unique units, tapes, outer ops, building your own metal gear, bosses, actually watching your base progress, and probably more shit I forgot.
Aside from that V's gameplay at its core is exactly the same as PW, just that PW does it better, and when it does not it's because if hardware.
So logically PW > V
>Aside from that V's gameplay at its core is exactly the same as PW
Could you expand on what you mean by this? Like AI complexity or stealth mechanics?
It boils down to crouch-running and shooting guards in the head or holding them up if they have a helmet. The devs just scaled it up to include larger enemy patrol patterns, vehicles not being bulletsponges and existing in the world instead of their own dedicated boss levels, buddies, and some more shit.
It is improved, obviously, but it's not a gigantic leap. And the reason one game feels like Metal Gear and the other does not is because V has barely any reactability or variety or context depentent actions to its environment. You can play with guards but it's all the same fricking boring copy pasted guard outpost shit ad infinitum. Zero factions, zero interesting geographic challenges (even fricking PW hid ghillie suit enemies or ones laying in ambush in its 5 minute maps).
Do I have to go on. V seems deep but it's fricking shallow on every account.
DRK you should be focusing on the stream rn
V at least you can play around messing with guards and doing dumb shit, 4 has almost no replayability, it's full of fanservice, and the exposition dumps could have been greatly simplified and more gameplay added.
They are both shit, but if I had to save one it would be V, that would leave 2's ending the series like it was originally intended.
You can also mess with guards in 4, besides nobody said that 4 isn't shit in its own ways.
in what situation is it even advantageous for you to outright kill? even during combat you can just stick a dart and roll into them for an instant KO, among other things
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that tactic.
Why are there so many MGS threads all of a sudden?
Is it because of Master Collection pre-order, or Punished Prigohzin?
MGS Delta and Master Collection.
