These games were so good it made buy an nds to play them as it should be. I wonder what killed the saga.

Atlus
>I wonder what killed the saga.
it's not persona or smt
same managed the nab both before the price skyrocketed
I think I played this on the wii once. It was cool if I remember right

MOAR
Its only good Trauma remix I have seen. But check it out his other songs. His remixes are bangers

Another opportunity I'm going to take to say this. PLEASE play the Trauma Center games. They are fantastic and it's a shame they have been all but forgotten.
I liked Second Opinion and New Blood on the Wii, but all of them are good games. Try them if you haven't. Not sure how well they emulate since I play these on OG hardware, but if you can play them, go for it. Wii U probably would have been wonderful for this game, but aside from the Wii U bombing, Atlus just focuses on Persona now so it really didn't have much chance.
the wii one is a remake of the DS one yeah? would you recommend playing the DS games first or just go straight to wii?
you can go straight to the wii, though I dont think it covers trauma center 2
new blood adds 2 player simultaneous play which is not in trauma center 2
atlus is really moronic not to put these on the switch or make a new game
>would you recommend playing the DS games first or just go straight to wii?
I jumped in with Second Opinion on the Wii. I prefer the art style and music there and find the Wii remote and Nunchuck work VERY well for a game like this. Although using the defibrillator can take some getting used to (even if it only pops up a few times in the whole game). If you don't like reading, you can play New Blood which is all voice acted and has 2 player co-op, but a whole new cast and such.
Although if you have a friend, sibling or spouse who wants to play Second Opinion with you, you could be the "doctor" by being the guy with the Wii Remote who tells the "assistant" (player 2) what instruments you need with the Nunchuck and have them select the tools for you to work with. Its not official 2-player, but it's still fun and borderline team building.
>No mention of Trauma Team
fake fan
Anyway, the emulate flawless with proper hardware. I used a Dolphinbar and Wiimote+Nunchuk but these days Joycons will suffice.
>Trauma Team
You have to admit that it's a pretty unconventional Trauma Center game in comparison to UtK, SO, NB, and UtK2. As a first game recommendation to the series, I didn't know if it's a great idea so I didn't list it, but its a good game.
>Dolphinbar and Wiimote+Nunchuk
I wish the dolphin bar weren't so finnicky, I'd otherwise love to play more wii games on my PC. I can only ever seem to get it working like 10% of the time.
Everyone on the forums has the same problems but no real solid solution. For example my wiimote will connect, rumble, and then after a couple of seconds, the lights will turn off and then not be able to connect at all until I reset the controllers power.
The final two missions of second opinion are pure cancer. Paraskevi at the heart, and it’s the fourth in 4 sequential patients. Frick you.
I don't like anime, hospitals, or seeing people hurt
>I don't like anime
Boy do I have the TC clone for you (if you feel like getting Flashpoint to play it)
Now that's a classic
Damn I completely forgot about this game. Thanks for the reminder anon.
I missed out on buying Trauma Team physical and digital on Wii U. I guess it's time to sail the seas.
>I wonder what killed the saga.
declining sales and lack of new ideas
Ideas for what? All they needed was to continue one of the existing stories, they were on a good roll with trauma team's gameplay. And even if they had little faith in the series I'm surprised they didn't release a smaller game for the Wii U. Frick's sake, even a mobile game would've been good.
The could easily make them for switch and make them work like a combination of Wii/DS controls if you are playing docked/handheld. People said they wouldn't make EO mapping work and yet here we are with an HD remaster coming soon.
Mario 3D All Stars proves you can do Wii controls on the Switch well. The tech's been there for a long while
I'll be honest with you, I don't like the Switch gyro in comparison to Wii Remote + sensor bar. Using it as a point it too slow for me and at time inaccurate and requires more calibration than needed. Its fine, but its really not as good as the Wii Remote and sensor bar, but again I'm speaking personally.
Galaxy cursor isn't anywhere near as important and didn't need to be as precise as the one in trauma center
A trauma center gacha game would be banging.
>gacha
Please no
Take a long walk off of a short pier
Eat buck shot irl
Tried the first one long time ago and got filtered. I just can’t do games when you need to both be fast AND precise.
Literally killed my old 3DS XL touch screen playing this.
Shit's to intense.
>Trauma Team sequel never
Shit sucks, I really enjoyed all of the Trauma Center games and I was pleased when New Blood and Trauma Team just had new casts entirely that I still liked. Very comfy as they say.
So I started up Second Opinion for the first time since it was released and holy frick immediately the music sounds Shoji Meguro as frick
wonder how that happened
Oh frick this. I think this was the last time where I ever got so frustrated with a game I had to look up how to do it and STILL didn't know how to do it.
>You can use Healing Touch
I'm talking about doing it without Healing Touch so you didn't get a C Ranking. I eventually figured out how, but I can't explain it with text.
It's something like, if you don't pull out all the thorns before pulling off the triangles, the triangles multiply in that direction
Persona ruined everything
My dude those days 😉
>I wonder what killed the saga.
The series was needlessly difficult and turned people off. It didn't have the charm/appeal of something like the ace attorney series to carry it either.
>the series was needlessly difficult and turned people off
I agree that I can be frustrating at times, but nowadays gaming has gone full circle so hardcore gayming is back in town, so a new TC released now doesn't sound like a bonkers idea
Trauma center is unironically several orders of magnitude harder than something like dark souls or darkest dungeon or most "hard" modern games
Bruh, what are you even saying. I beat most of the series AS A CHILD.
Next you're gonna say Picross is harder than Dark Souls. Literal skill issue.
Yeah I also remember playing it as a child, but it was in a fricking emulator so the last missions were borderline impossible. In console it was way easier.
Naomi is best girl
Angie is close second
Correct.
Also Correct.
Shame Kirsten doesn't VA much, if she ever did, these days. She also voiced Taken in P5 but was replaced by R.
>Taken
Takemi
i dropped the first game on the ds because playing it was so fricking frustrating. shit just did not work half the time even if i was doing the motions right.
fat fingers with zero dexterity typed this. Stay in the forest, ape
tell me why sutures did not work half the time? don't fricking lie and act like you never had this issue.
It's a video game, there's always rhyme and reason to hit detection, but alas it'd be too videogamey to just tell you explicitly
For sutures, it's probably start and end points must have covered enough of the wound, and zigzagged over it enough times
I am actually shocked they didn't attempt to do a remake of Trauma Center for the Switch. The Joycons were made for it.
low sales
scrubs would rather buy smt or persona time wasters
it's a shame because trauma center was certified kino
>remake game for Wii
>cut out the finale and replace it with a text screen explaining what happens
what the FRICK were they thinking?
I fondly remember Ganker spamming this.
Imagine the smell
it's not hard to imagine if you've ever taken a shower
And if I haven't?
I'm still seething we didn't get one on 3DS or Wii U.
I AM GONNA BE HERE, RIGHT BESIDE YOU
I'M THE ONE WHO WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU
the TC series is Meguro's best work
What if I told you the Meguro didn't actually work on Under the Knife 2 and New Blood?
i'd believe you
trauma team may have performed poorly, I did my part and preordered it, but the real killer is the fact that atlus hasn't released a single game that isn't a remaster/remake, smt/persona, or etrian odyssey game since catherine in february 2011. 12 fricking years. absolutely disgusting
The first trauma center is one of the hardest games I have ever played
How the frick are you suppossed to beat the last levels without breaking your wrists?
I stopped playing because it was physically painful to play
I still haven't beat savato without cheats lol that thing is really evil
I always get bored once they introduce the enemies you have kill before continuing. If they made a trauma center without that shit, id play it
Sex is harder than Dark Souls.
Full collection of Wii games (+remake of 2 akin to Second Opinion) for Switch and PC when?
I miss these games they had so much soul. I replay them like once every 2 years on my DS.
This kills the Ganker user
Finally, /tc/
Sex with brown chie
I only ever played the first one, is it worth it to play the rest?
Might need to replay the first one too, since I remember jack. I only remember that I enjoyed it, I had to remove some sort of spider viruses from some guy's heart near the end, and some ancient cult leader.
You mean you only played the very first game for the DS?
That one looks like a tech demo compared to the rest of the games, play under the knife 2 if you can.
Not that anon but the first game on DS is actually my favorite
I think it's pretty unpolished compared to the rest of the series but if you find it overloading with soul that's pretty based my dude
>but if you find it overloading with soul that's pretty based my dude
It was one of my first childhood difficult games, also one that introduced me to this "VN but not really" type of japanese game before even Ace Attorney. I remember it very fondly
Based. OG art style had so much sovl
Angela was one of my first vidya crushes when I first played Trauma Center back in 2005
Yeah, on the DS. I had a summer job with nothing to do all day and spent it with my DS and R4.
Won't I miss stuff story-wise in 2 if I don't remember the first one well?
Speaking on behalf of the other anon, you're safe to play the Second Opinion (it's the DS one just with different character art), New Blood (completely new cast and story), and Trauma Team (completely new everything and even new things like Diagnostics and such).
The only direct sequel is Utk2 which only requires you play the game you've already played, so you're good to go anon.
I'd hesitate to call Second Opinion "the DS one just with different character art". It's a complete remake with new content, and better mechanics/controls so your sutures actually work most of the time.
You're right. I was speaking generally, but he's not going to get major story revelations or changes in this. I was moreso speaking in that regard than anything else. That and I really do prefer SO to UtK1 and feel like it's the definitive (most fun) way to play through the young Derek Stiles story before Utk2.
it's better than under the knife for everything but the final mission. super disappointing how they cut that, even if it was super hard. it was rewarding, and actually felt like a finale. ideal way to play is second opinion up to the end, then grab a complete save for under the knife to do the proper ending, then go back to second opinion to do the new missions
they emulate perfectly. if you use mouse + any controller in left hand to act as nunchuk, it feels great, but you have to fiddle around to bind all the waggle stuff like defib. it's super seamless if you just use a wii remote thoughever
I liked things better in the first game
I would play an entire game/VN/Point and Click of this man's part of Trauma Team. It's a shame the rest of the game is just OK while having this one interesting part that could and should be its own thing entirely.
>"He didn't use the healing touch to save my life? I'm going to become the Joker"
the plot in the second game was complete bonkers kek
these were the shit when they released. if they weren't so expensive rn I'd buy them
everything was fun and game until tiny sharks start to cut everyone from inside out
SO > UTK2 = NB > UTK and didn't play TT
why did the writers do it to her
Is this like Ace Attorney but of a lawyer you're a doctor?
its not a VN style game, like on the DS you are tapping the screen to use your tools on the human body so the person doesnt die, on Wii you waggle
doesn't play anything like it aside from the story stuff and a bit of trauma team
the actual gameplay is intense arcadey surgery. really has nothing to compare it to
Too hard for casuals. Only really worked well with a touch screen so the Wii games were ass.
Persona art style is soulless. Generic anime art of the 1st game is unironically better.
I hate the meme, but this is genuinely full of soul
Hey it's those npcs they killed off of EO's remakes
