"Treasure" doesn't make things. They are a licensing company now. They want "someone" make something with their IPs. It's the only way they make money and nobody is paying them to use their shit.
Treasure doesn't even exist anymore, the entire company is just a PO box staffed by like 2 people tops to handle licensing rights. Literally every person who worked on past Treasure games is either working for another company (a few of them are at Squeenix I think) or have just left the vidya industry completely years ago. Any Treasure game made today would just be outsourced to completely new people with the Treasure logo slapped on it.

Everything exactly the same as the original Genesis version except the graphics are worse, the physics are worse, and the Lightning + Fire combo is nerfed for no reason.

They were so good in the Genesis days. But anyone who worked there then is either retired or dead. They made games since but they've never been as good as the 16bit era. Maybe they can pull some talent on name recognition though, but they should dedicate it to making the kinds of games that made them famous (explosive 2D action sidescrollers like Gunstar Heroes)
