First time playing Tropico 6. I'm having trouble making money during the world war era, any tips would be more than appreciated as I am down to 40 grand. Pepe in it for best help.

play Tropico 4 instead. There's your tip.
Already started a playthrough on Tropico 6 & I don't own Tropico 4. Feel free to have a nice day though
>he bought Tropico 6 instead of 4
Tropico 6 is objectively a better game
no.
>play Tropico 4 instead
Kind of put the series away for a while after playing the 4th (loved the series in general) and if this is 6th, it kind of looks similar to how 4th one was visually.
visually Tropico 6 is sexier tho. I finished t4 recently, I don't think I'll ever go back
Perhaps, but aurally: Tropico 4 (& 3; better songs + Juanito) >>> Tropico 6
is it true aural sex isn't a sin in God's eyes?
FPBP as always. Tropico 4 sigmas win again. 6 is a good game on its own, and if you enjoy that then that's cool too. I just like 4 more.
You need industry. Produce and export cloth, cigars, weapons, boats.
Rum, guns, boats and cigars. Also did I mention boats?
Is that really what tropico 6 looks like?
it's looks so untropical compared to 5, wtf.
On that note, I have finally finished 5's time travel mission.
Huh? T6 looks much more colorful than 5
Tropico 6 basically improved on 5 in every way you should give it a try.
That's becsuse 5 is a massive downgrade from 4. Tropico is a city builder that plays like a tycoon game and has a side of politics. For some ungodly reason they decided to turn the tropico series in to some RTS abomination that no one likes or cares about. It's the same bullshit that the Pharaoh HD devs fell dor where they thought that becsuse the games had some arbitrary combat that it ment the game is an RTS and seeked to "improve" on it instead of realizing that it's just there for a bit of flavor so when you get the alert of combat happening it doesn't look like shit and makes thing mean a bit more.
5 and 6 are too bloated, like the stupid trade agreements system that just ends up being tons of busywork for 10% more exports, don't get me started on the terrible research system
Crops aren't productive enough until later factories.
Make enough to feed your pops and use your colonial era cash crops on the side, but world wars are funded by making boats. Use the industrialization edict if you've built a stockpile for at least 3 factories at once.
Also make sure you've a good ratio of teamsters to your products, I usually get the 2x work shift as soon as possible because logistics is a mess and its better to throw more transport at it. Additionally, are your busses connecting your production areas? Parking lots require wealthy citizens who arent factory workers.
I should also say that manure isnt as effective as just building several different farming plots with cross polination, as you dont want to rely on some shit-shoveling laborer to protect your plants when he'd rather travel 2 islands over to go to a restaurant
60% efficiency forever is better than 100-to-10% in 5 years
im sorry OP but tropico 6 is a objectively bad game which barely functions in its systems
Shut the frick up you stupid Black folk I swear to God
I'm sorry anon but it's true. 6 is dogshit and 3 and 4 are much better.
Just play 3 or 4.
I think 3 is better than 4. 4 is said to be optimized but when you really compare the 2, the graphical quality of 4 is a downgrade from 3. Also 4 is basically a glorified expansion of 3, let's be honest.
What does this have to do with the topic of this thread though?
you are correct. additionally Modern Times was a mistake
don't mind me i'm just here to laugh at the homosexual moron playing 6 over 3&4
Not OP but I like 6 the best, going back to 3 is hard as it feels anaemic due to the vastly reduced amount of buildings and features. Plus garage spam is overpowered as frick
Agreed although it was a shame they didn't carry over some of the Waterborne DLC concepts, I also kind of enjoyed the dynasty idea even if it could have used more polish.
As per the rest of the thread, raw resources barely produce any money (except maybe oil) so you need to build up as much industry as possible. Teamsters are critically important and you should always have LOTS of them otherwise you're screwed (plus they put all your uneducated citizens to work). I generally had 1.5 plantations per factory and as many factories as I could reasonably staff, so I'd end up with say 3 tobacco plantations and 2 cigar factories, 3 sugar plantations and 2 rum distilleries, 3 cattle ranches and 2 dairies etc. Most ranch and factory upgrades are worth buying, especially those that reduce the amount of workers you need (ESPECIALLY for factories). I also made use of the edicts and policies that made graduating from colleges/high schools faster.
Other misc tips would be that the Industrialisation edict is great for building lots of factories cheap, you should always check cause-of-death to make sure people aren't starving or that you don't have too few doctors and that canneries and shipbuilders produce good returns. You can also spam the heist that has a chance to give you cash, plus alternate between praise and ask for cash from the embassies. These last 2 aren't going to prop up your economy forever, but the boosts they give you are very useful for saving up for more factories. Also remember to keep building teamsters offices, that's probably the most important thing. Oh and resist the urge to stay in a lower-era forever, as plantations gradually reduce the effectiveness of the land they're on and so you want to hit Modern Times for the agricultural buildings that don't.
Tropico isnt complex, just build industry.
>b-but i already have industry
Build more u tard.
>Tropico 6
lol refund it and get 5 idiot
5 is literally the worst shut up
seem to be quite a debate, let's settle this

Where's the option for "they suck in general"?
Do y'all play the campaign or sandbox mode?
Sandbox all the way
The campaign is fun once but I'm coming back for the sandbox
I played 5 a few years back so I just started playing 6.
I quickly found out how great building extra docks is. I throw 4 next to eachother and get tons and tons of migrants.
