XCOM but with exponential RPG autism and cute girls.

So I'll have a good time?

If you don't go in expecting high production value, sure. Animations are pretty jank.
Your enjoyment will probably wear off the closer to endgame you get because it does get very autistic.

      This.
It is XCOM Far East Edition, repetitive, grindy battles most of which are so braindead that you just have to spam basic attack, and wait for it to be over, but one in every twenty has some bullshit that you actually need expert level build autism for.
There are a lot of game mechanics and characters and most of them are your standard anime girl tropes.
If you are into that, go for it, if not avoid.

        >repetitive, grindy battles most of which are so braindead that you just have to spam basic attack
that's not true, if you don't play on easy like a pussy, even the regular story missions are challenging on first playtrough
build and gear min-maxing autism is what trivializes the game even on the highest difficulty, which is fun too

      Basically what he said.
It is very fun if you want more xcom. Story is korean cheesy level of writing, not bad but lacking.
I haven't fully beaten it yet but it does start to get a bit overwhelming with the equipment. I think it doesn't really matter if you just want to play on a lower difficulty but if you are going for harder i assume that is where the autism starting being required

      >first ever encounter with destrons
      >WHAT THE ACTUAL FRICK
They were fun but proper build make them irrelevant. I already forgot OP girl name but she can tank everything and everyone while rest of your team doing damage, also old hag sniper can OHK them. This is on hardest difficulty, of course.

There are big boy destrons at the end of the second DLC

Fun fact, I did bought DLC on release but decide to wait for when it will be finished, as of now DLC is finished for few months already but I yet to find time to play it. Also I'm afraid that I forgot almost everything and even easy missions will filter me hard.

I dropped the game after the monkey hell battle. I can't imagine a worse stage like that.

genuinely one of the best games i've ever played. i only wish there was some kind of random mission generation and scaling for legendary items

A very slow start to a very long campaign. It takes like 12 hours before the girl in that picture joins your party, but since the campaign is like 160 hours long it's still "early game".
If the autism grabs you it's one of those games where you go to bed at night dreaming about builds.

Korean XCOM, but more and more insane as the game progresses
    Lots of grinding
    Some translation issues
    Autistic build planning
You can catch, train and use Pokemon in combat
    dicky in your party

      What does that even accomplish?

        >Everything Needs a Slice of Luck for Luck when entering Overcharge
        >Awaken for Overcharge on demand
        >Escape Death for stacking +30% Cheating Death chance every time Luck activates, plus another +30% from Overcharge (and 10% per Lightning Reflexes)
        >everything is else damage
Kills pretty much anything in the game and can singlehandedly wipe entire parties in PVP

If you go deep into any of the overly complicated systems the game will become extremely easy, but you will feel cool.

Good game, but it's very Korean
Don't play if you played Xcom recently as this might burn you out. Have fun!

Final fantasy tactics with some xcom elements, wonky balance, manhwa plot and korean optimization. Can be surprisingly fun.

It's a shame that Albus kinda became irrelevant damage wise if the map did not have enough fodder kills to feed him magic knight progression.
And the Destrons killing his bleeding build.

And I cannot forgive locking some good elemental abilities behind lord crabs. Catching these things took way more time than needed.

And Misty felt filler compared to most of the team. Maybe because dodgetank has it's limits and she is certainly noit the most damaging
