Anyways, troubleshooter is pretty good if you're into xcom, its both easier in the sense that there isn''t a real lose of units if you wipe, but can be much harder with cruel challange mode. You can make your squad so op they can just solo missions with catharsis/one shot one kill mastery and just wipe the map clean of enemies

I actually care more about gameplay than story. I don't have much hope for the the story tbh. All FE stories end with fricking demon/dragon anyway. I like human antagonist much more in term of stories. No need for complicated background. Just evil guy wanted more power or shit i guess. Hmm excuse the rambling...Anyway the gameplay is not like FE?
the story is more a political thriller like FE4, is slow at the start you will not udnertsadn nothing but after a while you will relize everything.
the gameplay is based on the same heroes more then troops, you can personalize them like in Fire Emblem

mentioned, your squad is set in that you unlock them in the story, you start with Albus, get Sion and Irene pretty quickly, then slowly get the rest. you can customise them in gearing but the real bread and butter of the game is masteries, you can get them so op with the right mastery builds you can just oneshot every enemy on the field, though granted, it takes a long ass time you get those op masteries if you're new to the game. It's still holding my interest 500+ hours in and I just started the new DLC that gives a new character so it does something right to hold my interest at least

That being said, there's still no real ending in sight, story is basically gang does bad shit, you as troubleshooters go in since the VHPD is so useless, defeat gang in x misions, then suddenly a stronger gang appears and you rinse repeat (remember how i said story is shit). Once in a while you get a mission to defeat beasts or robots but foir the most part its you vs troublemakers

You go through the story and with that you unlock different cases that lets you grind masteries/exp/money/items ect, So you have story cases, violent cases and so on.
I wouldn’t call the VHPD uselsss, Infact even till the end they’re still helpful for me especially Jane, the issue is rather that the other troubleshooters are fricking useless, ever thought about how the only other group you see helping out is Issac’s new group? They literally tell you VHPD is swarmed and Troubleshooters being contract workers can just say “no” but Albus always jumps in which is why they like him
Storywise they're ok, but as support units they fricking suck most of the time, it would be a lot more interesting if you could get your own support VHPD squad you build from scratch, can equip and put masteries on, otherwise I only use them to collect chests and emp grenade bicrons as that's the only time they're usefull in later missions
Damage is damage, Jane especially can still tank and retaliate for a lot of damage, the others are useful imo overwatch machines and for draining AT
Kinda depends, combat feels more XCOM than FE in my opinion but storywise its way more FE. only issue is that most of the story is pretty meh. A lot of characters have this sad backstory, that includes the villians you pretty much arrest/kill. It's not my favorite thing in the game but you're not me, so who knows

The latest FOTM game Dave the Diver was asiaticmade and it was pretty good. I also don't know if you consider visual novel types as games, but I liked Buried Stars as well.

the main campaign (Abandoned Children) with the Spoonists and all the gang wars going down in Wind Wall District is content complete. Lion & Witch with the Drifter Clowns mercenary outfit is content complete. The Crimson Crow is the one that isn't quite finished, which they're doing as they also are working on Troubleshooter 2.
I really hope they cut some of the factually flopped systems out of TS2. they had a lot of feature bloat, and koreans are mindbroken into adding some terribly grindy systems. crafting top-end gear was too grindy.

Cruel + Challenge mode is the best way to play this.
Better item drops and actually challenging.
Destrons were borderline unkillable bullshit but that made finally beating them much more rewarding.
