Just get a 7.1 system, like a normal person.
I don't want my neighbors to hear me play hentai games or loud japs moaning when I watch jav
why would i waste a pcie slot on a soundcard that supports that
you may as well put the extra lanes to use
Under normal circumstances, sure. Headphones in a casual listening use case are exclusively for situations where people shouldn't be able to hear you. Apartment living, late night, but especially gaming; no one wants to hear your bing bing wahoo come through whatever 99 cent lapel mic Ganker is pretending is any good these days.
The problem with gaming headsets is the pricing structure. Even the cheap ones work decently enough for their purpose since only the most autistic of subhumans gives a shit about the frequency response of a device they're just listening to gunshots and screams from, but they're only cheap relative to other headsets. Meanwhile on the other end there are 300 dollar gaymur headsets that sound pretty good, but for 300 dollars you could buy an entry level pair of headphones and slap a modmic on it to get better results. Unless wireless communication is a requirement in which case you might as well just use whatever IEMs you use with your phone with an aforementioned cheap 99 cent mic.
I just have earbuds and a samson meteor desk mic
>gaming headphones
lol
>STAXgay has escaped /hpg/ containment
Rare, though I stopped using mine for everything because I felt like I was going through too many service parts
get whatever fits your head comfortably and sounds good, ignore any homosexual shill that says you should buy their favorite goyslop instead
This. Audiogays are the worse
>dude just spend 5000 dollars on a headset
Get that Logitech or a HyperX
Never fall for the seinheinser meme
I buy 40 dollar DJ headsets that helps with my music production. Also always get over the ear headphones
Literally 0 point having an expensive headset if you're not also ripping your own raws and .flacs
Funny Ganker Will sperge about how important 120hz is because they've seen it and can't go back. You haven't listened to good audio
our eyes can see 120hz though
our ears cannot hear flac, biologically speaking. It doesn't matter what any audiophile homosexual says, it is literally our biology, you cannot hear any extra "quality" going from 320kbps to flac. It's not an argument, it's a fact of life.
Our ears can't even hear anything from stuff in 120hz it's too fast
>it is literally our biology
It's not biology, it's all mental. It's the same reason we can make almost all the colors humans can see using just red green and blue.
i need ones of those, my birthday its coming and i want them as a present, i am using the earphones that came with my phone, and they are not great
with ones would yoou recomend
thanks 🙂
Got what I need, hope it lasts me forever. I've had the headphones for 4 years soon, I don't plan on ever upgrading or getting anything else.
You will once you learn about planar magnetic and electrostatic.
Used to swear by those things until I got a pair of Sundaras. Also the venerable K701 is flat joyless dogshit, what the hell happened
Sony should market their upcoming wireless Sony Wh-1000xm6 as gamer headphones
they aren't going to change their mind on aptx
"gaming" headsets are cheap chinese plastic garbage that break after light use
t. had a logitech headset that had both ears snap off within a week of each other after just barely 2 years after replacing a previous pair of the same brand for the same issue
Headset mics are garbage but if you're not a steamer or whatever it's quick and easy just get a steelseries or hyperx and be done with it. Avoid anything Logitech unless it's a kb/mouse.
Logitech headsets are some of the worst built electronics I've had the misfortune of owning
>Not leaning into the headset microphone to breath
There is middle ground between buying trash and buying snake oil.
When I was looking for my last headphones I made sure I could repair them myself. Also they have to be comfy so I can wear them whole day.
What's a good gaming headset that's not going to flatten my hair. I've been using this gifted razor headset and the padding is flattening part of my hair. It's literally the gamer dent in it.
