Its a game that last over a 100 hours, you’re still essentially on the tutorial, have you never touched a jrpg before, what sis you expect moron?

I finished the 10 hour demo in one sitting without even realizing it until the window popped up asking me to purchase the full game. Easily one of the most immediately engaging games I've played in the past decade. If you're playing S you should play it on Switch.

which version is the better one?

Personally, I prefer Definitive Edition on PS4 Pro or PS5. The graphics are a bit worse than the original version, but they're better than on Switch and you get 60 FPS.

Original for first playthrough. Definitive Edition in 2D mode for second playthrough.
DE adds in a bunch of filler midway through the main story that fricks the pacing and ruins the mystery of where party member are, also makes it SUPER suspicious that you see the whereabouts of all but two of them, totally not some big spoiler about to happen. Its just bad.

Vee doesn't have the attention span to sit through a slow, turn-based jRPG. Go back to watching fellow zoomers eat tidepods on tiktok.

    it's not that good.
    the good
    >likable cast
    >pep system is like a cool fusion between trance from ff9 and chrono trigger's techs, though it should be more predictable like FF limit breaks rather than just something that randomly happens.

    the bad
    >no class system
    >super linear and railroaded
    >day/night cycle doesn't really affect anything substantial.
    >most of the OST is literally tracks from previous games
    >shitty ultra-basic dungeon design.
    >story is pretty dull
    >3rd act literally invalidates all of the character development in act 2
    >ending makes you realize that act 3 was kind of pointless because they just created an offshoot timeline rather than actually affecting the original timeline
    >does the typical DQ thing where the villain is just some random evil lord with no actual personal connection to any of the characters (4 is the only one that didn't do this)

I'm honestly excited for 12 if they're planning on going back to the more non-linear exploration aspect of certain earlier DQs.

Isn't the free demo like 6 hours long? Fricking moron, play it before you rant about it like a virgin cuck on Ganker, homosexual ass incel b***h.

Yeah it's really fricking boring. I love jrpgs and they're pretty much the only thing I've played for 10 years and this is just so boring. I don't understand the love for it. I was so excited to play it and just quit after 20 hours. I don't think I've even just quit a video game like this before

Dragon Quest is either for you or not for you. If you don't like it just stop. It won't get any better for you.
