Those are just translation choices. The fanbase would throw a hissy fit if those changed so yeah those are the same. But the new release has a new script and events so it has to be translated from scratch.

It's really hard to judge by %, because almost every scene is longer, there's like a dozen new characters, and Nero isn't even in the game anymore so everything related to him is gone.

I literally got Ciel's route and Ciel and Arc harem ending, first try, just by floundering around. Then I read up all the other ending on the net by curiosity, and they were all worse. Closed up Tsukihime and never played it again.
I mean, Nasu, if you give me the two main girls in a route you can literally stumble upon by pure accident, what even is there for me in the other routes?

Shiki x Ciel in the remake is arguably his best ever. They complete and complement each other so well that it's like poetry. When Shiki is fricked up after killing Arc, she lends him just the helping hand he needs and convinces him to atone for his sins. This reflects Ciel's own life and past as she views that she must atone for her own wrongs. As their relationship progresses and Shiki finds out more about Ciel, it becomes his turn to lend her the helping hand by teaching her how to forgive herself. It's very kino.

Ataraxia with voice patch is 4.5 GBs. I can't find my F/SN at the moment, but maybe it's about 7 GBs. Are you telling me that the other 13 gigs are exclusively taken by artwork because RN probably has more voiced lines than 2 Tsukihime routes.

The only damage I'll let this new shit do to what remains of my Tsukihime memories is the character redesigns and that's it. Unfortunately, it was kinda necessary from a lore standpoint. Once she snapped and wasn't gimped from bloodlust, she was supposed to require several top tier Servants to even match her. But comparing FGO stuff to her, it was pretty clear that just copy/pasting her snapping during Ciel's Good End wasn't gonna cut it.
Retcon FGO instead of pushing everything else up for its sake, this problem will literally never go away and yet they intend to run this franchise for several more decades. This universe is at a point where the powerscale is so big it needs a fricking reboot like marvel comics back in the day
It wasn't even FGO, though. Even as early as Fate/Extra, the powerlevels had already eclipsed Arc. I suppose the original was more forgivable because it was really only Saver that was that OP, but CCC's powerlevels were insane. Including retconning EA and Gil to be OP as frick.

I thought the new characters were pretty alright. couple designs kind of don't fit in completely but that's just modern Type Moon's design sense I guess. A lot of them honestly are probably going to have a lot more relevance during the Far Side route if any.
Ciel's route is where the power level stuff really comes out. I'd say the characters in general got a power level boost.

Arakune is a a totally out of place, obnoxious character that will kill your immersion. No idea what they were thinking with her. The mask guy is ok I guess. Kinda mysterious, but at the same time requires some suspension of disbelief for why the main character hardly even questions his existence. The little girl is irrelevant to both routes but my favorite out of the new ones.

Borges can be very different in different stories. The best thing about his short stories is that they are, well, short, so even if you don't get them or don't like them at all you haven't really wasted that much time. There are "what the hell are they even about" stories (e.g. The Approach to Al-Mu'tasim, like what the hell was that even about), some meh stories (like Circular Ruins, it's famous but I just can't really "get" it), a lot very approachable stories with some good themes to ponder upon and/or that are just fun to read (most of them, really) and several actual masterpieces.
Overall, Borges' talent was that he actually could convey and explore within a dozen of pages ideas that other authors couldn't even approach with hundreds.

Doesn't matter where as long as you open it with agent after you hook yuzu. Personally I hook it directly to the yuzu.exe in the yuzu folder instead of the automatic shortcut it puts for the desktop since that starts the updater first.

Do you have a 6core cpu from 2016 or newer? you have at least 8 GB of ram? Tsuki is pretty low stress to run, but you may not even be able to get the emulator open it if it doesn't at least meet those requirements.

Now it's probably going to be a while until the far side comes out, and I'm suspecting, that unless the routes will be shorter, we might actually have the remake split into 3 releases. We have the first one already, part 2 would have Akiha's, and maybe Sacchin's? Part 3 would be maids in that case, but Nasu could split the maid routes apart, either way, 2 routes a game. In that case, considering how long it will take to translate them, EOPs will still be cucked out of the remake for a while after they come out.
Are you sure about that? That's a lot to release in one VN if they don't cut down on route size. Farside is 3 routes, Sacchin makes it 4. That's I'm pondering 2 route releases, so the wait isn't forever, and they can milk you of your cash with 3 whole games.

Vlov? Yeah, he does feel like an FGO character but it could have been pulled off a lot worse. Expecting the remake to be like the old VN is a bad idea to begin with, but if you let go of the idea of wanting the old VN but with much higher production values you probably won't be disappointed.

Arakune is a a totally out of place, obnoxious character that will kill your immersion. No idea what they were thinking with her. The mask guy is ok I guess. Kinda mysterious, but at the same time requires some suspension of disbelief for why the main character hardly even questions his existence. The little girl is irrelevant to both routes but my favorite out of the new ones.

The best thing about his short stories is that they are, well, short, so even if you don't get them or don't like them at all you haven't really wasted that much time. There are "what the hell are they even about" stories (e.g. The Approach to Al-Mu'tasim, like what the hell was that even about), some meh stories (like Circular Ruins, it's famous but I just can't really "get" it), a lot very approachable stories with some good themes to ponder upon and/or that are just fun to read (most of them, really) and several actual masterpieces.
Overall, Borges' talent was that he actually could convey and explore within a dozen of pages ideas that other authors couldn't even approach with hundreds.
The difference is that books/movies... translators are usually competent.

Doesn't matter where as long as you open it with agent after you hook yuzu. Personally I hook it directly to the yuzu.exe in the yuzu folder instead of the automatic shortcut it puts for the desktop since that starts the updater first.

Do you have a 6core cpu from 2016 or newer? you have at least 8 GB of ram? Tsuki is pretty low stress to run, but you may not even be able to get the emulator open it if it doesn't at least meet those requirements.

It's only about half right now, or depending on how you look at it, 1/6 of the final remake translated. Now it's probably going to be a while until the far side comes out, and I'm suspecting, that unless the routes will be shorter, we might actually have the remake split into 3 releases. We have the first one already, part 2 would have Akiha's, and maybe Sacchin's? Part 3 would be maids in that case, but Nasu could split the maid routes apart, either way, 2 routes a game. In that case, considering how long it will take to translate them, EOPs will still be cucked out of the remake for a while after they come out.
Part 2 is "far side + Sacchin". The third release will most likely be a bundle of all 6 routes + either Arc epilogue or her "True" route.
Are you sure about that? That's a lot to release in one VN if they don't cut down on route size. Farside is 3 routes, Sacchin makes it 4. That's I'm pondering 2 route releases, so the wait isn't forever, and they can milk you of your cash with 3 whole games.
the maid routes will probably be shorter than most routes with Akiha and the Sacchin route being the long ones. I doubt Nasu wants to make the maid routes crazy and big given the nature of them.
This is nu Nasu though, I fully expect the maid routes to either be about normal length or about as long as full routes. That being said, he could try to make the maid routes split off a common branch, and have some early shared scenes before they become their own thing. As for how crazy the routes will be? Again, nu Nasu, the power level for this shit has gone up, and I'm while I'm not expecting shounen shit on the far side, I don't seem being like in OG. Akiha and Sacchin have gotta be full routes though, yeah.
