>Why?
Probably the same reason why 64 and Sunshine are 30fps while Galaxy is 60fps, Nintendo wants to keep the games as close to the original experience as possible so if the original is in 30fps then the port/remake will what the fuck is wrong with them?!
Yes, I will be pirating your game.
Yes, I will be emulating it.
Yes, I will be upscaling the game past the inevitable 900p it will run at.
Yes, I will be running it at 60FPS.
No, I will not be paying.
Yes, you will be paying and supporting it on my behalf.
This appears to be releasing late 2024, which is when the switch 2 should be coming out. It may be cross gen or just have an upgrade patch on the switch 2. I think it's entirely possible they designed this to run 4k60 on the switch 2 and then backported it to the switch.
The Wii was an absurdly outdated piece of shit so there was no way it could run any Wii U games, but BotW ran substantially better on switch than Wii U. Nintendo is wasting this game if it comes out the same day as the switch 2 but doesn't have any extra benefits there.
John Linneman of Digital Foundry has tweets about it. You can also find the trailer on Nintendo's channel, which is 1080p60fps, but using your keyboard to go frame by frame, you'll notice that the image only changes every 2 frames, confirming a 30 fps game.
>time based combat system >game is 30 fps instead of 60
oh no the game is slightly easier
what will I do?! oh yeah cry on the internet like a retard on a game that is all about visuals
imagine if you weren't dropped on the head as a baby
you could actually enjoy games instead of bickering about some minute details
really? is the graphical difference really worth that? that kind of spoils the excitement I had for it ngl
star allies sucks at 30fps despite idiots claiming “durrr its a baby game who cares” I just have expectations for certain things, like how every kirby game prior was 60fps, like how ttyd is a 60fps game
how is this still allowed in 2020+3
Play it on PC or wait for the Switch 2 to come out and hope it plays older games at a better frame rate.
the pikmin ports were also locked to 30fps
the answer is that nintendo fans don't have standards and will pay $70 for decades-old ports
baffling considering TTYD was 60 fps on GC
pikmin ports were 30fps on gamecube. TTYD was 60fps on gamecube
Gotta have a reason for nintendies to upgrade to the Switch 2.
hi whats the appeal of this game, i like 3d mario games is this ACKshually good or just more 2d mario slop
It's 3D, 2D, and 1D at the same time
it's an RPG you retard
is it good or GOOD?
It's always ranked highly on Ganker's favourite games charts, since years and years ago
How's Superguard going to work? Normally it's 3 frames at 60fps, so they have to either round down or round up, no?

64 and Sunshine were 30 fps on their original consoles. TTYD was 60fps on Gamecube so this is an actual downgrade
TTYD was 60fps originally
>oh no this turned based rpg is 30 fps
whatever
But the original was 60
If you can't Superguard at 30fps then you are legally blind old man
if they round it down then superguarding will be a 1-frame window
i guess all the speedrunners will be able to jerk themselves off more?
Unfortunate that they didn't take it out entirely. Awful mechanic.
The stars that pop up to display damage numbers are too dull in color. The game would be better if they were a brighter yellow.

Is Nintendo known for that kind of thing? Did any Wii games have higher framerates on Wii U?

Who said it was 30 FPS?

Oh no! Anyway.
Who cares, it’ll be 120 fps on my Deck.

Why the fuck would you buy a remaster that performs worse?
