I've been playing on an hdd, best part is animations tend to load in last, so almost all the cutscenes are just my character not moving or falling through the air like a stone statue.

obvously hdd is slower than a ssd and has slower load times. the last game i played where it ended up causing notable pop-in is fricking cyberpunk 2077. that's how much of a janky pile of shit a game need to be for it to happen even on a slower hdd

Mine loads in like 3-5 seconds, I don't know what is wrong with your computer. Also I don't save scum, I don't give a shit if I lose a roll. If the game gives me a shit experience if I lose all the rolls then it is a shit game. I've been enjoying my playthroughs so far.
