No it didn't. Twilight princess has aged like dogshit compared to something like windwaker. Proof that hyper realism is a shitty thing to strive for when it'll look terrible eventually.
>aged
it was great at the time, deal with it. >muh retro gaem doesn't hold up
oh well >t-this other retro does though!
it probably doesn't, but oh well
This just reminded me of that part in Ghost Recon 2, I think, where you're traveling across the border by chopper, and the entire world, sky included, starts turning piss yellow the millisecond you cross into Mexico kek
I unironically enjoy that Mexico is always depicted like this.
I also like when there's a japanese scene in a movie and you hear those wood blocks and the guy going YOOOOOOOOOOOOO
All other cultures should exist for my exotic entertainment benefit
WW looks better today because it correctly implemented Nintendo's philosophy of Kareta Gijutsu no Suihei Shikō. The weaker performance capabilities of the Gamecube were optimized for cartoon cel shading. TP looks dated because after the commercial weakness of the Gamecube, Nintendo was intimidated by Western developers and tried to play along with a grittier, darker style that always looks like shit when revisiting this generation's graphics.
And yet even Miyamoto thought it was what the next Zelda would look like, Aonuma had to hide Toon Link from him, and Miyamoto literally cringed when he saw Toon Link.
I don't miss that era. I wonder just how many FPS's were released in that time frame? Thank frick for the GBA and DS keeping things fresh during that time.
The twilight realm looked better in the beta when it had a black and white filter instead of a piss filter. Also, anyone who claims this is their favourite Zelda game is telling on themselves that it was their first. Anyone who says its the best is telling on themselves for playing possibly two other Zelda games, max.
Being a fricking autist in 2006 was suffering. I complained about this to people and they literally just couldn't see it. Nobody cared. All they saw was more "detailed" graphics than Wind Waker so they insisted it looked better.
Being an autist is literally just noticing things that turn into moronic internet discourse 20 years later.
it's more MATURE for mature gamers such as myself
Any game released between 2005 and 2013 has a high probability of being yellow
Interestingly when Iraq was relevant.
explains why my neighbor's son is asian
It's goddamn GREEN
Honestly bloom+yellow+green looked cool on gen 6 consoles and the Wii
No it didn't. Twilight princess has aged like dogshit compared to something like windwaker. Proof that hyper realism is a shitty thing to strive for when it'll look terrible eventually.
>hyper realism
Good thing that TP didn't strive for that
>hyper realism
LMAO Have you ever even seen TP? Every design in it stylized to the maximum degree. Unless green grass is hyper realism to you lol.
TP aged better than wind waker in the visual department
moronic homosexual.
I bet it's the people who watch all the stilted & stiff anime that worship Wind Waker
windwaker HD has bloom to the max, lmao
Yeah and it looks like shit compared to the original.
the original WW is saturated to hell and back
>hyper realism
>aged
tasteless gay
Insane that this game came out the same year as Oblivion and Nintendo fans genuinely see no issue with this.
Oh yeah because Oblivion has aged so well.
they're both fine games what the frick is wrong with you
>GameCube game doesn't look as good as a 360 game
I think the game looks charming. Lots of finesse in the map layouts and design, like in the architecture.
i hate the ordon village layout
feels like a fricking banjo kazooey tutorial map
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/zelda/images/a/aa/Ordon_Village.png/revision/latest?cb=20091028110351
more like Moron Village
Gotta join the call-(You)-a-moron train.
People who say TP is realistic are blind to stylistic matters and should refrain from chiming in on them.
>aged

>muh retro gaem doesn't hold up
oh well

it probably doesn't, but oh well
>Twilight Princess
>hyper realism
It looked like fricking shit, even at the time.
It was the style at the time.
It looks like Quake 2.
Well you're in a volcano so it mostly has to do with the incandescence of lava.
muh brown n bloom
it's just like IRAQ
This just reminded me of that part in Ghost Recon 2, I think, where you're traveling across the border by chopper, and the entire world, sky included, starts turning piss yellow the millisecond you cross into Mexico kek
TP takes place in Mexico confirmed. Do you think Link could beat Mike in a death battle.
Does Link have a gun?
I unironically enjoy that Mexico is always depicted like this.
I also like when there's a japanese scene in a movie and you hear those wood blocks and the guy going YOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Set the white point to 9300k instead of 6500k, it won't be as garish.
It was the style at the time.

Twilight should have kept the cel shading but with less vibrant colors and chibi models
They probably would've but everybody threw a fricking fit about Wind Waker when it came out and wanted something more like OoT.
Its because this is what we got shown for Zelda and then we got baby mode Zelda. I like it, but it was kind of a let down considering this preview

That was never touted to be a video game.
And yet even Miyamoto thought it was what the next Zelda would look like, Aonuma had to hide Toon Link from him, and Miyamoto literally cringed when he saw Toon Link.
>Kareta Gijutsu no Suihei Shikō
translator's note: 駆れた技術の水平思考 means "advancing technology through lateral thinking"
that philosophy wasn't used in the GameCube or N64 though, probably part of why they were failures

Its fricking BROWN. By far the ugliest Zelda game, to the point that it makes you not want to play it.
Nintendo found the piss filter, it was in the drawer
>zoomers don't remember the brown and bloom era
I don't miss that era. I wonder just how many FPS's were released in that time frame? Thank frick for the GBA and DS keeping things fresh during that time.
GBA was long dead when that era started but the DS and PSP kicked ass.
It was the golden age for portables.
Zoomers will never understand the Call of Duty piss filter
Wii/ps3/xb360 era devs will never understand Call of Duty piss filter
FTFY
It's like being in a dream

Do any of you fat ugly c**ts even like games? Or anything?
You tell me
So you don't know?
Afraid so
care to extrapolate?
Huh wat u mean
That's just bloom, gayass.
Twilight Princess
Yeah thanks for dropping the first spoiler tag great programming there
Being a fricking autist in 2006 was suffering. I complained about this to people and they literally just couldn't see it. Nobody cared. All they saw was more "detailed" graphics than Wind Waker so they insisted it looked better.

The brown and bloom era was ugly, but that doesn’t mean Troon Link stars as Kevin Costner in Water World was a good game.
>Why is this game so fricking YELLOW man?
Because it was developed by Chinese people
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RealIsBrown
brown & bloom = real
if it's yellow it is mellow
Because brown and bloom was the trendy thing at the time.
>Sonic Generations is the turning point of the generation where games are noticeably allowed to have colours in them again
You're alright, Blue
Dare you enter my magical realm?
I dunno honestly tho, I haven't done this in quite a while. . .
Back then, vibrance was for homosexuals
Because it's piss.
The game is piss.
It's a bad game. Even the Wii U remaster didn't save it.
Didn't need saving, it's the best Zelda game.
