I just don't want to watch a bunch of nonsense before my videos. I don't understand why people are okay with being forced to watch manipulative shit about products. Every time I open a twitch stream(which is not often) I get bombarded with an add that reminds me of why I don't want to watch a single add

I only block ads because they've become so fricking annoying lately. like not only the like 2-3 back to back unskippable 15 second ads but just the content itself is so fricking obnoxious now. every ad wants to be loud and quirky and its just fricking annoying, I would genuinely be less adverse to ads if they were just some dude in a black void saying 'drink coke' and the ad just ends

As long as ads interfere with what I want to view, I will block them. I want to watch the video, not an ad for your product. Make a banner somewhere that doesn't block my viewing if you want your ad to not be blocked. It's super easy peasy weazy lemon squeazy!

      >Make a banner somewhere that doesn't block my viewing if you want your ad to not be blocked
I'm fine with it when it's similar to the one on Ganker where it's one fricking banner that stays where it is. The moment it starts moving with view while I scroll, starts a video that autoplays in the corner or has a popup, the whole site gets blocked or I stop using it.

Ya’ll don’t realize YouTube is a net negative to Google, in fact Google is paying out-of-pocket just to keep YouTube servers running.
Adblock services like ublock are actually destroying the internet that we all love and cherish!
Cmon guys, adblockers are basically dementors sucking the good out of the internet.
Let’s do the right thing here

You know, I've been a pirate for as long as piracy has been an option, but I never thought it would turn out to be the only sane way of life going forward.

There is a 0% chance of me buying something from an ad, so youtube is cheating the ad providers by pretending their revenue is going towards something. I just can't condone that kind of unethical behavior.

It's a true clown world we're in when technically using adblock is the humane and advertiser friendly option. Just to get the idea through to them that YT is scamming them. Shit's fricked.

Google needs to tell advertisers that people don't want their viewing experience to be interrupted or ruined by ads, and advertisers need to create their ads in such a way that it doesn't bother the viewer.

The problem is that it's an American company, and in true burgerpunk fashion they've been conditioned to see ads everywhere. I've heard the SImpsons ran ads betwen teh couch gag and the fricking episode. The rest of the world can't believe it, if it was like an ad per hour I'd resentfully agree to watch it. If I had to.

Joel haver and a few other content creators have the right idea.
The ad is part of the content without being intrusive. (Ideally)
This ensures the ad is relevant to viewers and let's content creators do their thing without having to stick to a script that clearly came from marketers.
It's a win for viewers, creators and businesses.
I'm sure someone will post angrily about haver but he has a good video on this topic and some good examples of ads he's done.

In MPC-HC advanced settings, give it the path to to you're yt-dlp.exe.

They can afford adblocker users, this is just their attempt to boost their revenue after seeing Netflix successfully start dictating how their users can use their service. If they are willing to create multiple products and discontinue them immediately, clearly they are financially stabled. They just want to impress their investors.

Very, they made a statement not to long ago saying they would delete accounts with no videos which were inactive for at least 2 years. They actual fumbled their words originally and made people think they would also delete videos. It's still very much in the cards if they think they can get away with it.
