I'm genuinely don't get what the impulse behind most of its design decisions was? Who thought "generic medieval" would make for a good setting for a series that's at this point famous for its unique worlds that blend historical, contemporary and futuristic elements? Who thought that generic ass story about evil kings and an evil god was actually compelling? Why did they do that FF XV thing again where you never get to explore any of the larger cities? Who approved of that half assed combat system?
I gave the game a chance, some of the boss fights were cool in terms of presentation but very little of it was memorable, much less likable.
Because YoshiP watched Game of Thrones & coomed himself hard over it, then was so hard in westaboo mode that he wanted the game to be like GoT, only to like halfway through remember that this was supposed to be a final fantasy game
