Felt the same thing. The game is "open world" but I've never felt lonlier in a Diablo game. D3 wasn't great but at least you had a merc buddy that dropped a one liner here and there and you could join a random party or open up your game for randoms to do shit with. In D4 I just run around and nobody interacts with anyone. The people I see could literally be fake npcs propped up by Blizzard and I wouldn't even know. God D4 is so fricking bland and boring.

Game is currently tuned for zooming through end game maps but they didnt spruce up the campaign to compensate. What do you dislike about it? Make sure you are using lots of support gems and getting resistances on your gear. Ignore rare items that dont match the gems you want, and if you see a usable 4-link try using an Alchemy orb on it and see what you get.
Or wait 16 months for the sequel which is designed with new players in mind.

He's kinda right on some level. Immortal has WASD-support, PvP battlegrounds, raids, events, trading, a beastiary/journal, leaderboards, etc. that D4 doesn't have, for some reason.
