Everything. It's random from the perspective of the computer. It has no idea what you or other players are going to do. A catboy teleports in, a lalafell switches his gear nearby, a bard starts playing Undertale music, an RMT bot starts spamming your chatlog, a cat girl just did a 360 degree spin and it has to calculate her boob physics, etc etc etc. All this has to be calculated in cache and if it gets full it gets dumped to ram which is slower than cache. Kind of like how if you run out of ram it gets dumped on your hard drive. That's way slower and you fps suffers. Same thing.

Because it's a very mid game that gives you no reason to play it once you beat the MSQ and 4 months worth of endgame content. And that's even with a group of irl friends to play it with.

If you don't care about cosmetics then there's no reason to delve into the multiplayer aspects of the game. Dungeons are all very similar strai g ht lines, so if a dungeon doesn't have any cosmetics that you want then there's no reason to run any of them. If you clear high-end duties then it's hardly an achievement because 90% of it is rote memory and pattern recognition--verybfew of the fights/raids are dynamic enough to get people to come back if they don't want the cosmetics. The legitimately great content like Bozja and Eureka can be finished in 1-2 months each. So unless you're into treasure maps or deep dungeons then it's a very emaciated game. I put those hours into it because everyone told me to play through to endwalker and try all the content. I had some fun, but I wouldn't recommend this game to someone who isn't already a huge FF fan.
And when I say high-end, I mean Savage and Extreme synced. By the time Ultimates came out I was like "why bother? This isn't fun anymore."

Yes. MMOs and VR eat up L3 cache. Having more means the calculations stay within the CPU rather than moving to RAM which is slower.

Everything. It's random from the perspective of the computer. It has no idea what you or other players are going to do. A catboy teleports in, a lalafell switches his gear nearby, a bard starts playing Undertale music, an RMT bot starts spamming your chatlog, a cat girl just did a 360 degree spin and it has to calculate her boob physics, etc etc etc. All this has to be calculated in cache and if it gets full it gets dumped to ram which is slower than cache. Kind of like how if you run out of ram it gets dumped on your hard drive. That's way slower and you fps suffers. Same thing.
That explains a lot now, because I'm an old ass computer and decide to finally build a new computer because I couldn't take all the slow downs I would get in the game.

Typical Jap game designed around 60fps. Animation/Physics system gets fricked up beyond 60fps, but it doesn't effect gameplay, just the way your clothes/hair blow in the wind, some animations get fricked up too.
Patches kind of suck and don't have anything I'm interested in.
