ultima is specifically said to be from space and created auracite that is extremely powerful and controls people based on their desires. now it turns out the heart of sabik is also auracite and nobody among the ancients has any idea what the frick it does or where its from, only that it was something that athena found instead of making, it's super powerful and it made her (and possibly hephastios) go nuts based on her internal desires
it's a whole lot of things being implied to the point where if you did ivalice you're literally able to ask about if there's a connection here but nothing is being said outright.
