remove the AR part at the beginning, it wasn't that meaningful anyway (until later in the game)
put some stock image of real people, or anything portraiting modern civilization
OT1 is plotless in the grand scheme of things, they made a prequel- mobile gacha which is a huge shame- to expand about the major plot point that they mentioned it for like 5 minutes.
HOWEVER!!! In the future, if they released that mobile game as a single player game- kinda what they did with that Megaman game- i will say go for that because in my honest opinion it has the best plot over OT1 and OT2 combined.
Gimmicks involving the internal camera of anything have always been incredibly stupid.
99.99% of people have a completely bored neutral face when playing a game no matter how much they're loving it.
You're not gonna increase my immersion in the topical boss fight by putting my bored-looking, disheveled face in the sky.
You're just gonna ruin every ounce of investment and investment I had in the scene.
Really enjoyed the first game but i couldn't stand the dialogue or character dynamics of bravely second. I was just too put off with it that i dropped the game after the first 3 hours, maybe i'll pick it up again on the future but who knows.
I'm still mad about how they RAPED magnolia's characterization
and how baals were underused
and how the writing was shit
and how I don't even remember who the final boss was
and how anne did basically nothing
and the censorship
FRICK bravely second, cool jobs though
>I'm still mad about how they RAPED magnolia's characterization
I'm afraid to ask, what did they do? I lost interest about halfway through, but the jobs and quality of life features compared to average JRPGs carried me that far.
nta but iirc they had her character reworked between the "baal-buster" trailer and the full game. She became less of that and more of a wacky foreign love interest for (Yew)

Yeah, the soundtracks are definitely one of if not the greatest parts of the game for me.

BD honestly has the perfect soundtrack. Probably the only game I've played where every single song on the soundtrack is pure gold. The asterisk boss theme alone is so good hearing it in the Octopath gacha crossover event singlehandedly made me get off my ass and finally play the game. A year later both the game and the soundtrack still live rent free in my head.
It's pretty good if you enjoy grinding a bit and experimenting with jobs
It's also of above average difficulty
The story is nothing special at all, except Elvis is a pretty cool character
Overall i'd say worth a playthrough if you have nothing else going on or are craving for a jrpg and have no other jrpg in your backlog
>They skimped HARD
This bothers the frick out of me. The music in the game is good, but they recycled the same dungeon and cave theme so much. Is 2-3 more dungeon themes and maybe a couple unique ones for special places too much to ask?
it's really weird because they didn't skimp on the art design for varied dungeons.. it's like the game director just didn't think that musical variety was necessary at all. very strange, I have never played another jrpg with the same issue
At least on hard mode, early game fights can be pretty brutal. Late game bosses will generally hit like a truck too, but you'll also have access to some pretty busted jobs so the game becomes a lot easier overall. That said, if you experiment with your jobs and items a bit you can always find a solution. Bosses generally have some kind of gimmick or pattern you can exploit once you figure it out and you're generally expected to do so.
made for me
You mean me
yes. nice job posting a shit image op
Acceptable.
3DS era was a better time.
These models are unironically some of the hottest stuff I've seen...
are you some kind of pervert?
Yes
Agnes booba is bigger?
You aren't?
>Hairy Agnés
>Flat Edea
Muh dick
>chibi style
SOVL
3DS potatos were perfect, can't believe they somehow fricked them up on Switch
yeah the BD2 models are unreal engine "hire this man"-tier garbage, I don't know what they were thinking
need Agnes and Edea to both bend over so i can stare at their butts
Awaken those crystals
im crystal hard for my personal onahole
>games where the semifinal boss has better music than the final boss
Unacceptable that she won't be in my bed tonight
These models were so perfect. Why'd they have to ruin it in BD2?
They didn't want to re-hire Akihiko Yoshida as the artist and no one else knows how to make the secret chibi sauce
>draw a fish
>call it a girl
when are they gonna put bravely default on PC as an HD release. my eyes aren't good enough to play on 3ds anymore.
Oh no how old
29. i mean, technically i could play it, but i'd be playing with the thing very close to my face and no glasses.
But how would you replicate the kino of the AR Card opening cutscene that ends up becoming relevant again at the end of the game?
i never got that far, that's why i want an HD release. i made it to the first loop, i think. idk it has been a long time.
>game plays footage of your desktop instead
whats the worst that could happen
remove the AR part at the beginning, it wasn't that meaningful anyway (until later in the game)

shame what happened to square enix
Agnes was made for BTC (Big Tiz wiener) and Edea was made for BRC (Big Ringabel wiener)
Agnes was made to be molested by Airy
>We could have FFV remake instead of this rip off garbage
Remakes have no reason to exist. Just play the original
Frick you, ff3 and 4 remake was better than this shit
so epic.

Tangential to this, I was thinking of playing Octopath, but is it worth playing the first one or should I just play 2?
Neither. But if you want to give them a shot, probably just start with 2. It's more or less the exact same game with a bit more polish.

Which version should I play
Are they censored
Japanese version because yes it is otherwise censored
>chibi style
Sovlless. I wanted to see all of those thighs in better details
Vanillaware game but Akihiko's art style

yeah, even just using the front facing camera would've made more sense
>suddenly an image of an obese hairy man's wiener on Steam Deck appears in the sky
Kill Airy.

At least second has pretty neat cover art in europe.
>yfw the celestial realm or whatever was the real world
kino ruined by
The poor bastard didn't realize he was a hamster sized if he ever came into a real world, which is the funniest thing about 1.
The soundtrack was great
Revo is a savant.

Listening to those reminds me of one time when Youtube's algorithm was cool and recommended me this
Should I even bother with Bravely default 2?
I kinda hated Second beside Magnolia being hot.
Every time I hear the game brought up, it's never in a positive light

It's fricking insane how much better the Second was compared to 2
great game but i fricking hated the loops.
Also, they needed to 4x the amount of music tracks in the game. They skimped HARD

Is hard mode fun or is it something where half of the classes won't see use because they are too weak to do anything?
Anne is the better fairy.
I got spoiled about the fairy
I just started the 2nd chapter of this game, it's kind of kicking my ass because of status effect and bosses spamming strong attacks. What do?
Did you reduce enemy encounters in the options? Some people do and they end up underlevelled

>native american costume is problematic
>let's replace it with a cowboy
