>>no trade mechanic
but there is trading
for everything else though yea you're right. but imho having a phone game with working mods is a miracle in and of itself.
Honestly I couldn't care too much about those extra features, but I welcome them in the future.
What they need is better UI. It sucks to play on a phone screen. The UI is clearly built around a m+kb mentality.
How does a complete noob learn these sorts of games, I've been overwhelmed since starting this game.
Sit down and try playing a couple games. Don't be afraid of restarting. You will get the hang in no time. On top of that it's a dumbed down civ 5 clone. No religion, no caravans, no ideology. Just focus on population, science, happiness and military, in this order, and you will win every single game.
the Civ 6 mod seems to be updated regularly albeit suffering alot of bugs and uncompleted assets. The Brave New World mod by Ravgnir stopped updating several months ago which is a shame since I really like the direction it was going. DeCiv seems to be interesting but I'm not really into post-apocalyptic 4x scenarios. I'm only playing vanilla nowadays
This. Fricking Peru keeps wining by just sitting in a corner producing Culture until they get a Culture victory.
And nobody fricking stops them, because Civs barely go to war once they passed the 1000ad mark, so unless you become Hitler and nuke everything and everyone, nobody is there to stop them.
You play small maps in easy ia, so you can experience all the mechanics in a short amount of time, while not beig pressured of being eated by the ia. Also, try to expand as fast as you can without lowering happines below a set amount. Set goals. Expend your money.
>try to expand as fast as you can without lowering happines below a set amount
This, I've just conquered three city states and happiness has gone into negative.
>no trade mechanic
>no spying mechanic
>slow development
>mods on life support
should I play this game?

always start with pottery and mining in your research. Complete the tradition civic tree first before Liberty.
watch Civ 5 Guides on youtube.
