Do you have bless up? (+1 to +4)
Have you taken a potion of strength? (+1 to +2)
Have you thrown acid under his feet? (-2 to enemy AC)
Assume he has a 27 AC (He doesn't):
+4 Prof. Bonus
+9 from Cloud Giant Strength Potion
+2 from Bless
+3 from Weapon Enchantment
+2 from Acid Debuff (inverted for ease)
Adv. usually adds an approx. +5 bonus, all things considered.
So your fighters should be rolling 1d20 +20, or hitting him nearly 70% of the time.
Then you're going to suffer. Using your expendables is expected on Balanced, and mandatory on Tactician unless you're running the most autistic of broken-as-frick 5e builds (you're not).
Half of "that shit" is literally a passive prebuff that you can do out of combat at the beginning of your day.
Larian definitely captured the moronic martialBlack person playerbase, I'll give them that. Most of you morons can't even use a round of buffs properly.

what is a "martialBlack person"?
Don't kill the spirits, just focus him down first. He gets buffed as you kill the apparitions. Putting a wall on the doorway should keep the death knights out long enough for you to nuke him down if you have properly built characters.
Your characters should have enough buffs to make the saves, and then you should have enough counterspells to break the worst spells.
Honestly though I used a pretty busted eldritch blast build that could dish out 200 dpr easily so perhaps my advice is not applicable to you. But if you want an easy time with him, go sorc8/fighter2/warlock2 and become the eldritch blast machine gun. Pick up the legendary staff, potent robe, charisma hat and go to town.
Not all, just one. Still, if you're desperate and willing to cheese, put all your explosives in a pouch, throw the pouch at his feet, shoot the pouch and the contents spill out. Then drop a fireball and watch the fireworks.
im only level 9 i'm not level 12 sorry i apologize im a dummy

well i beat the fire lava forge guy at level 5 when he's 8 and i didn't even use the hammer (it took 2 hours) so i thought maybe if i played well i could beat him but i guess not
He clearly has Mirror Image active.
The issue here is that the game makes the illusions transparent so you can see which is the real one but you're seeing four of him so a 28% chance to hit is actually pretty generous.
you could try to cheese it with Shadowheart damage aura then, it's guaranteed damage
dunno how good are his saves to spells but maybe some Gale terrain AOE would work too
ok no clue then anon, you may be fricked unless you use the explosive barrel cheese. I agree with the other anon that your underleveled, I murdered him at lv12
How the frick is 5e dnd filtering so many people? Thread after thread of fricking morons raging over how "hard" or "bullshit" this games difficulty is.
This game is piss easy even on the highest difficulty.
Oh no he is hard to hit with melee? Then fricking hit him with something else you dimwit. Try using AOE spells you moronic buffoon.
I didn't try to do anything broken but my Rogue has 27AC, lol. I also didn't try to force this, but Sarevok decided to try hitting my Rogue after ran Gale away, so the fight went really easy for the most part. He just kept missing 6 times in a row.

OH, he has Mirror Image on. Why are you complaining then? Just literally miss a time or two with a Haste Spell/Pot and then eviscerate him.
Fricking double-digit IQ zoomies, I swear. I can't even imagine how hard you would get reamed on an actual adult CRPG (Pathfinder WotR).
PS Blame LariaBlack person shitcoders for not giving players access to Dispel Magic lmao.
i don't use any of that shit it's not tactician

frick this game

The opposite of a castergay.
Blame shitty 5e mechanics. Doing basic arithmetic was too hard for zoomies so the only bonus you can have is """advantage"""

how can i do that if the enemies can perma cc 2 of my characters
i can only burst for like 120 max in the first turn

>if you want an easy time just reroll all your characters to this specific build bro
frick u

Skill issue
>not using spirit guardians
Ngmi
i did, they broke the concentration in 1 turn

Ok? 30% isn't bad just spam smite V until it hits and halves his hp bar
I don't have a paladin in my party and never met one, nor a monk or a bard
you could try to cheese it with Shadowheart damage aura then, it's guaranteed damage
dunno how good are his saves to spells but maybe some Gale terrain AOE would work too
he's immune to terrain stuff
any of the 4 breaks Shadowheart's concentration in 1 hit, he also fullkills in one turn 1 of my party members if he gets near them
ok no clue then anon, you may be fricked unless you use the explosive barrel cheese. I agree with the other anon that your underleveled, I murdered him at lv12

this is my only "it's too hard" thread i made and i did other hard things im not every other anon
i'm level 9 and that's the "answer" to my thread stop bullying me
600k players means casual brainlets play it too
thanks for beta-testing
he's a DEX chad, he's just that naturally good at dodging
