Post games that most people say are underrated that are actually overrated. I'll start with a basic choice to get the thread started

bonus points for the reverse
Wrong
elaborate?
You have to establish what the baseline UNDERRATED consensus is
I don't believe anyone is claiming Days Gone is a 10/10
No you disagreed so say why you disagree
Mad Max.
reddit psyop game
gay OPs who are actually turbogay
god forbid someone make a thread that isnt palworld or eceleb shit
god forbid someone make a thread to talk about shit they actually like instead of needing to run their hobby through the "I HAVE TO HATE EVERYTHING" filter
i don't even fricking see people talk about this game, it's brought up a couple times in passing each month at the very most
I dont hate the game I posted, I even said in the OP that I started with a basic choice because that is the general consensus on the game. I just wanted to start a discussion.
haven't you heard? expressing even minimal interest in anything is cringe tbh. you have to be a cynical homosexual 24/7 i don't make the rules.
maybe you should try reading the first post
maybe you should try making a better thread
if I did you would still find a way to complain. next time I make a thread I'll do the reverse
we get it anon, this game that some people like is actually shit. you're super based and non-cringe.
I havent even played the game, I literally stated in the OP that I just wanted to start a thread with what I thought was a cool idea for a discussion
>Post games that most people say are underrated that are actually overrated.
>I havent even played the game
yeah and? I havent played a game that fits that criteria, hence why I asked to see what other people think.
>fits that criteria
how can you say so? you've never even played it. or are you saying you're just parroting Ganker takes?
he’s just trying to stir the pot and get people to talk about video games stop being an obtuse homosexual
thank you, I dont see how this is such a hard concept to understand
I said "basic choice" because thats an opinion that I keep seeing about the game both on Ganker as well as off of it so I figured thats what people think about it, do you know of a better game I could've used?
If you haven't played the game, your opinion is worth less than nothing.
>your opinion
show me where I stated an opinion on anything
>he wants to have a genuine discussion about videogames
>on Ganker
Nah that's still underrated because it only gets good 20 hours in and the vast majority never got that far
fallout new vegas
what didnt you like about them?
new vegas anon here, i just think the gameplay is so so bad. guns aren’t fun to use, melee is completely unsatisfying, no movement or traversal mechanics to make anything interesting, and mods can’t fix a boring system built on such weak foundations. i’ve tried to play it like 4 times now because muh plot and muh roleplay are supposed to be so good but the gameplay makes it such a chore to play the game i’ve never gotten farther than like the boomer camp
this might make me sound like a contrarian but new vegas has some of my favorite shooting/combat out of any game. Its a shame to hear that you didnt like it. What are some games you do like anon?
it might just be a thing between bethesda and me, something about their style and engine (maybe?) makes everything feel like paper mache colliding with paper towel rolls.
i like a lot of games, especially those with fun or engaging mechanics.. some of my favorites from the past few years would be sifu, elden ring, and bannerlord, i also like roguelikes like hades and backpack hero, and some turn based stuff like XCOM depending on the setting. always enjoy sandboxes like GTA and zomboid. and pretty much anything in VR lol, including fallout 4 which i didn’t enjoy much flat but had a great time playing in VR. what about you anon?
my favorite game actually is new vegas, but I also tend to like first person rpgs and immersive sims the most. games like deus ex, morrowind, and vtmb. I also really like hack and slash/character action games quite a bit like dmc/ bayonetta/mgr. I've been thinking about getting sifu for a while now, it looks pretty cool.
If you like sandboxes you would probably like saints row (especially since you like GTA), I also recommend prototype. As for vr I really liked the walking dead saints and sinners. not really a rougelike person but I see the appeal
sifu is a masterpiece to me it wasn’t too on my radar but a friend highly recommended it to me and it immediately cracked my all time top 5. definitely a must play! and do so with the original chinese dialogue it’s worth it
thanks for the recommendation I'll be sure to check it out
Oblivion was a big step in the wrong direction for TES.
It's a shallow game. It's got dull combat. Level scaling for monsters and weapons remove all sense of accomplishment. The characters are ugly. The world looks like a standard fantasy setting. I will say that the physics were impressive for its time.
I don't get why it has suddenly gotten the comeback with people, claiming that it's actually a misunderstood masterpiece, that the quests are great, and so on. I'm guessing this was their first RPG/TES game and nostalgia is talking.
Gays Done is just a solid 6/10. Not underrated or overrated
the reason I chose it was because I've seen a bunch of people say it was a hidden masterpiece and a 9/10 or a 10/10. I agree that it was a 6/10
there is only one correct answer
what did you not like about it?
Dragon's Smegma
Titanfall 2
