Omori was only great during real life segments and black space (great ost), I personally found the rest of headspace to be a slog because it just felt like a slightly better rpgm game, I couldn't bother to do the neet route after my good run
Everhood's story beats fell flat because the characters both looked ugly and weren't that funny, the combat was fun though
the fact it has no sans, gaster or au stuff already makes it better than 99% of fan content by default. the writing is actually decent, the gameplay has interesting gimmicks for the fights and actually tries to tie itself with the lore without dickriding it too much.
sadly it completely fails at the ending, which is why many people are so soir on it, the ending is the last thing you see and it's very rushed and confusing

That way we can have true good ending pacifist, justice, and genocide ends.

I just beat Ceroba on genocide and I'm feeling a bit let down since getting around her attacks was just committing to memory whereas Undyne and Sans had me feeling like my reactions caught up to their speed.

Played through deltatraveler section 3. How is each fricking section worse than the last? The writing is so fricking dogshit and edgy. I cant believe an adult is writing this shit. It only works in the context of Undertale because the monsters are explicitly sentient beings with lives, families, and desires. When all you're doing is killing random rpg monsters of questionable intelligence, it rings hollow (which they try to remedy by adding blood, but that just comes across as edgy and shocking for the sake of it)

Not to mention you spend a alot of time with the UT monsters and can only really do Genocide intentionally after learning enough about the monsters.
And that connection is strengthened as you see the characters becomes their strongest best selves to stop the monster you are.
And while the aspect of intetionallity is still there it rings hollow as you only interact with these other characters for about one world.
You don't have to form an intentional connection to them and are to an extant expected to know a lot about them without ever meeting them unlike Kris and the gang themselves.
There is also the aspect of the player going in with the expectation of the Genocide route being an option, which is one thing DR did right, it hid it's route with Toby even denying an alternate route initially and made the route in such a way you're meant to feel like you're breaking the game.
But where as in Delta Traveler, you are just doing the Genocide Route.
Really doesn't help that shit starts getting real fanfiction-y on Section 2 Genocide too, and then Pacifist/Neutral catch up on Section 3 in their own way.
Kris literally taking the wheel and killing himself before you get the chance to make him admit he slaughtered the Ruins population to Undertale's Toriel was a cool moment, but you can really do without the rest of what the game does on that route outside of what the fights offer challenge-wise.

It's around there the writing really wants to try and get "one step ahead" of Toby with the Undertale-Deltarune connection implications, and make Kris into an actual character with sporadic dialogue and all beyond what Toby's given us thus far, shit feels dumb because it's inevitably going to be made outdated and already feels off as is. Gets a bit too eager with Dess baiting too.
There's a cringekino secret boss fight at least. You can spawn Glyde as usual, completely normal unlike most of the Underfell gays, but then JERRY of all monsters oneshots the motherfricker and you gotta fight him instead.

Far as Section 3 goes, Kris does a real overt "rip out the SOUL and then go off-screen to have a conversation with someone" scenario and then Gaster tries to hook us up with a Vessel Creation Speedrun so we can frick off and reach him sooner before he has to scrap it because Kris is already coming back.

Fell Sans' whole beef is that he thinks your group is the group he knows from HIS Deltarune, and apparently they fricked up everything big time which mindbroke him, which is why he kills everyone that breathes wrong at him. His boss fight was "meh," basically a mix of classic Sans patterns minus the KR and iframe frickery, now mixed in with patterns geared towards a new "expanded function" gimmick to the Blue SOUL ala Yellow's BIG SHOTS where you can charge a directional dash, said dash was clunky to use.
I'm too dulled by the stupid writing to give a frick about following up with Genocide yet, but I can imagine it's going to be even more moronic somehow.
Gaster is in a weird position alongside Sans, where it doesn't really feel right to include or exclude them and we don't know a lot about them so no matter what you do or don't do with them you're fricked.
Gaster has it worse since at least with Sans we know he's lazy, depressed, and integrity pilled.
Where Gaster just SCREAMS AT THE PLAYER in all caps robotic dialogue and acts vague.
Although I feel like excluding them and paps is probably the better choice overall.

Unsolicited review:
I really liked the game. The gameplay was an upgraded version of Undertale's. Combat both looked cooler (e.g. Dalv fight, lighting effects behind him when he did his electricity attack) and played better (mostly better gimmicks, e.g. dance battle).
Some great music too. The genocide battle theme is exceedingly chill, which probably doesn't fit the mood but whatever.
A good few of the big plot characters felt a smidge 'furry OC' though. I don't know if a single character in Undertale looked attractive at all, really. The filler NPCs were fine, especially in Snowdin.
Wild West town was a pointless drag, worst part of the game. Also I didn't actually like Martlet but I gather that's an unpopular opinion.

There's no single 'neutral' route though, is there? Killing a single random encounter vs. pacifist ruins then genocide vs. just killing Martlet vs. only NOT killing Martlet vs. etc.

Patterns are more important, but doing roughly 60 instead and getting the heal with glass ammo instead of like 40 and no heal will shave some of the need to heal and make the fight shorter

i'm only up to Axis (pacifist) so far but i found the (original) music kinda weak
the only tracks that stick out in my mind are the ones for Axis himself, the garden robot, and the steamworks, I was disappointed that Starlo's theme was so subdued
not to say it's bad, i don't think i've heard a single bad track in the game, but they're just mostly unremarkable
genocide route got the best music imo
It has like 5-7 tracks. As much as most of them are bangers, I still think "guns blazing" is the overall magnum opus of battle soundtrack in this game.
