UT Sans seems fine, canon personality-wise, It isnt really hard to frick sans up if you're genuinely trying to make an accurate sans and not the classic edgelord fanon sans.
Susie and noelle seem fine, they dont have many extremely gay moments, in fact, noelle seems naturally more obedient and submissive in obliteration which honestly checks out given the snowgrave run, but she also disobeys because in ch2 she talks back to queen, so she's still canon accurate, the only thing to note is the fact that susie isnt disgusted enough with the genocides to simply abandon you
I'll grant you that during a pacifist playthrough they are all as close to canon, nothing seems inately off, a few jokes here that they might not make-- A few F-bombs dropped in character on occasion, making the "Well _that_ just happened" joke more than once-- just enough stuff to make it feel like a vivzipop brand imitation of the character. The cracks quickly start to form tho on neutral or geno. Susie seems very ok with literal murder in low enough quantities, but is suddenly not ok with it-- but also as you observed didn't think it damnable enough to split or even try to stop (you)/Kris. The way Susie and Noelle interact over murder is also questionable, you'd think that Susie would be trying to pry Noelle as far from Kris as possible on neutral/geno after Kris tells them about (you).
It's just a lot of little things, but if what I was told is true and the Deltatraveler team is primarily made of teenagers then I suppose it's to be expected.

Well, to be honest, the closest thing to a canon reaction would be susie yelling at kris after the snake dies (althrough that shouldve been after paula's death) and noelle freaking out and leaving after snowy's death, too bad the characters go back to not giving a shit. And susie's reaction to kris killing lesser dog and trying to kill her feels too calm, like cmon, you can literally start a fight against the dogamy couple, shouldnt susie be worried that we're going to start killing innocent npcs instead of being "teehee im gonna do a funny and punch myself instead of attacking the enemy"? (Also, she's still perfectly obedient and not concerned if you dont punch susie nor say you want to kill her), And honestly, it seems moronic how susie decides to kill the whole party if you use red buster, for one, fell sans is insane, and cant she just throw the red buster away like how she casts rude buster onto the wall in hard mode toriel's fight? The uno thing is its own separate fangame actually, you can play it if you want, its simply playing uno with online people. Idk whats up with the gman hl2 beta speech, althrough itd be cool if there was a hl2 section (althrough, honestly, i would rather have a fallout section given the fact you could be very evil in fallout and having speech choices which would blend well into the "mercy or fight" undertale's gimmick, since itd be weird to force the player to go doomguy mode after a bunch of pacifist runs in other sections, and you would get to be manipulative and have far more chances to talk on your own instead of being forced to pick bewteen 2-4 dialogue choices which are basically "the evil mean bean choice vs the goody two shoes choice", imagine if you had the ability to dictate who says what rather than only choosing kris related options (example: you pick an option that says "Reason" then multiple options that go like "I'm really going to enjoy this [You]", "(idk) [kris]", "frick off weirdo [susie]", "sir, could we just go? Clover is gonna be silent and we dont know much about kanako so she's mostly up to interpretation, all i ask is that clover goes full "i kill everybody for justice" mode instead of le typical "player bad!!!"
That's one of Yellow's finest achievements, the separation of the player, Flowey, and Clover so that all of Cover's actions are canonically "his" and any reset frickery is "Flowey's" doing. I imagine Deltarune Traveler Yellow will miss this entirely.

That scene with Kanako pissed me off so much. That kid is on-screen for two seconds and I'm expected to be emotionally moved by her basically dying? And the big-eyed, chibi face? If undertale yellow was written by toby fox, i feel like rather than lazily showing you memories to explain ceroba's backstory, the game would have you head towards the true lab and learn more about kanako through word of mouth or some tapes to show you stuff like chujin talking on his deathbed or security footage of ceroba bringing kanako to alphys, maybe documents detailing what happened, anything to fill in the blanks.

No but the Mining Co. and everything west of the Wild East dragged on for too long without anything really substantial happening. The dancing guy at the top of the mountain? I almost dropped the game there because of how nonsensically out of nowhere he was. I enjoy what he brings to the table; the battle, the music, his love of dance and hopes to inspire monsters to find joy in dance considering how hard things are in the Underground. But this was not foreshadowed adequately at all. It was a completely amateurish moment in what is a really good, sometimes great game. Thank frick the Wild East was soon after this because as I said I very nearly dropped the game.

In the true pacifist route of Undertale Yellow, I barely even touched the fight button apart from the dummy fight (where you have to shoot the hat off the dummy's head) and during Ceroba's fight (where she took no damage). By the time that I beat Ceroba, I was landing bullseyes consistently.
Imagine if Deltarune Yellow pacifist Cole wasn't a very good shot until a fight against an enemy with a shield allowed him to get lots of practice.
And that's all the mirror text, the last one in genocide is just a copy of the Ruins one.

The closest pace killer in the original UT was dating Papyrus and Undyne, but you can choose to ignore them, bolt to New Home, and take the river back to do everything all at once.
On the grassy flower patch/right before Martlet comes back in front of the oasis town if you haven't exhausted the kills yet in the Dunes before reaching that point.

I get the feeling they think Starlo's design is missing something or it needs to be more like Ceroba's or Martlet's. It's fine as-is.
Finally finished the Genocide route and while I really liked UTY at first, I feel pretty underwhelmed. The Neutral Route feels like it had the best idea about how to end things. while Pacifist has the clumsy handling of Clover’s suicide and Genocide just leads to some poorly-balanced battle where I most remember Martlet whining like an edgelord about how much you’re “pissing her off”. The Axis fight beforehand wasn’t much better with the “ooh I’m seething so bad my LV keeps increasing” moment.
Genocide route is where Yellow really shows it’s hand, and you realize it’s no better than “I rember you’re genocides” posts, they were so, so, close to doing something actually cool, and they dropped the ball, a reoccurring theme in this game.
Axis pissing off Clover so much his level of violence increased without doing anything was the best part of the route, it was the perfect amount of corny. The real sins of the genocide route are that it flip-flops on Clover's motivations.
He can spare Dalv, he'll stop attacking Martlet when he could just kill her in Snowdin, and he threatens but doesn't follow up when she upsets him in the Dunes, implying some kind of moral code, even if it's thin and potentially hypocritical.
But at the same time, you HAVE to shoot Martlet first in Snowdin, and you HAVE to shoot Starlo after he makes it clear he's not a threat and doesn't have it in him to attack you for real. This is the kind of cruelty you'd expect genocide Frisk to have, where the lack of a point to the violence is the point of the route.
Shooting Starlo being mandatory really, really sticks out as a bad choice that doesn't satisfy either end. If it was optional and you chose to kill him anyway it would have a similar narrative purpose to the Monster Kid encounter in UT, where you make it clear that you're not acting in self-defense or only killing evil monsters or whatever, you're here to kill everyone. But it's not a choice, it happens automatically if you decide not to fire.
I think it's why I keep thinking of the Retribution route bullshit I typed in the thread. It's a big missed opportunity to have Clover follow some kind of code, so I love the idea of separating genocide into a "moral code" route and an "indiscriminate violence" route.

meanwhile those ships are not likely at all in the current uty story and probably have worse chances because of what happens in it

Forgot to clarify that you can still shoot Starlo manually and get the Ceroba fight, but not doing anything will get you this new route
After this fight Clover would go through the genocide version of Steamworks, but the Axis fight would be replaced by Ceroba, who gets to Axis first via the route you take in pacifist and uses her barrier to give him, Chujin's last creation, the chance to escape. It probably would use similar patterns to her genocide fight but easier since she doesn't have the same motivation.

Don't worry about it, this will come much later down the line. For now I'm just modifying the ruins/snowdin, the rest will come when those are done. It's not really hard so far because the game was made with a highschool level of coding, I don't think the new little event with the rock in the ruins will be difficult for example.

She writes all characters based off of fanon interpretations rather than canon. IE, Susie and noelle are 50x more romantically gay. Also pic related
UT Sans seems fine, canon personality-wise, It isnt really hard to frick sans up if you're genuinely trying to make an accurate sans and not the classic edgelord fanon sans.
Susie and noelle seem fine, they dont have many extremely gay moments, in fact, noelle seems naturally more obedient and submissive in obliteration which honestly checks out given the snowgrave run, but she also disobeys because in ch2 she talks back to queen, so she's still canon accurate, the only thing to note is the fact that susie isnt disgusted enough with the genocides to simply abandon you
I'll grant you that during a pacifist playthrough they are all as close to canon, nothing seems inately off, a few jokes here that they might not make-- A few F-bombs dropped in character on occasion, making the "Well _that_ just happened" joke more than once-- just enough stuff to make it feel like a vivzipop brand imitation of the character. The cracks quickly start to form tho on neutral or geno. Susie seems very ok with literal murder in low enough quantities, but is suddenly not ok with it-- but also as you observed didn't think it damnable enough to split or even try to stop (you)/Kris. The way Susie and Noelle interact over murder is also questionable, you'd think that Susie would be trying to pry Noelle as far from Kris as possible on neutral/geno after Kris tells them about (you).
It's just a lot of little things, but if what I was told is true and the Deltatraveler team is primarily made of teenagers then I suppose it's to be expected.
Well, to be honest, the closest thing to a canon reaction would be susie yelling at kris after the snake dies (althrough that shouldve been after paula's death) and noelle freaking out and leaving after snowy's death, too bad the characters go back to not giving a shit. And susie's reaction to kris killing lesser dog and trying to kill her feels too calm, like cmon, you can literally start a fight against the dogamy couple, shouldnt susie be worried that we're going to start killing innocent npcs instead of being "teehee im gonna do a funny and punch myself instead of attacking the enemy"? (Also, she's still perfectly obedient and not concerned if you dont punch susie nor say you want to kill her), And honestly, it seems moronic how susie decides to kill the whole party if you use red buster, for one, fell sans is insane, and cant she just throw the red buster away like how she casts rude buster onto the wall in hard mode toriel's fight? Why frick yourself over while giving the player an extra challenge by handicapping us?
what mostly bothers me the most about traveler is that there are some fun and good ideas in there. If you go out of bounds one of the things that can happen is a reference to an unused Gman HL2 beta speech but with Gaster. Then there's shit like the in battle engine uno game
The uno thing is its own separate fangame actually, you can play it if you want, its simply playing uno with online people. Idk whats up with the gman hl2 beta speech, althrough itd be cool if there was a hl2 section (althrough, honestly, i would rather have a fallout section given the fact you could be very evil in fallout and having speech choices which would blend well into the "mercy or fight" undertale's gimmick, since itd be weird to force the player to go doomguy mode after a bunch of pacifist runs in other sections, and you would get to be manipulative and have far more chances to talk on your own instead of being forced to pick bewteen 2-4 dialogue choices which are basically "the evil mean bean choice vs the goody two shoes choice", imagine if you had the ability to dictate who says what rather than only choosing kris related options (example: you pick an option that says "Reason" then multiple options that go like "I'm really going to enjoy this [You]", "(idk) [kris]", "frick off weirdo [susie]", "sir, could we just go? We really dont need to fight [2nd susie option], "We mean no harm, we're just passing by. [Noelle]"), there is lots of potential.
Honestly, i would love to see special interactions for the racism route instead of glossing it over as just a random neutral run, like, full obliteration mode in section 1, obliteration in section 2 then spare the humans, go full obliteration mode in section 3 again, section 4 is tloz which means humans so we'll spare the humans.

That's one of Yellow's finest achievements, the separation of the player, Flowey, and Clover so that all of Cover's actions are canonically "his" and any reset frickery is "Flowey's" doing. I imagine Deltarune Traveler Yellow will miss this entirely.

That scene with Kanako pissed me off so much. That kid is on-screen for two seconds and I'm expected to be emotionally moved by her basically dying? And the big-eyed, chibi face? Felt completely shallow and manipulative. The thing I hated the most about it was Kanako being willing to participate in the experiments, not realistic at all for a child. She would probably be terrified of a large syringe and understand the severity of the situation, kids aren't that stupid. Just because sad things happen doesn't make them sad. Oh yeah, and TWO child martyrs? It was interesting with Chara because it was implied they were suicidal and wanted to get revenge on the humans, but these two are goody two shoes? And you could do so much with the implication that the fallen humans were unhappy but Clover is just a nothing character?

If undertale yellow was written by toby fox, i feel like rather than lazily showing you memories to explain ceroba's backstory, the game would have you head towards the true lab and learn more about kanako through word of mouth or some tapes to show you stuff like chujin talking on his deathbed or security footage of ceroba bringing kanako to alphys, maybe documents detailing what happened, anything to fill in the blanks.

No but the Mining Co. and everything west of the Wild East dragged on for too long without anything really substantial happening. The dancing guy at the top of the mountain? I almost dropped the game there because of how nonsensically out of nowhere he was. I enjoy what he brings to the table; the battle, the music, his love of dance and hopes to inspire monsters to find joy in dance considering how hard things are in the Underground. But this was not foreshadowed adequately at all. It was a completely amateurish moment in what is a really good, sometimes great game. Thank frick the Wild East was soon after this because as I said I very nearly dropped the game.
Frankly, they could've introduced the characters a bit more, have the feisty five watch over the dunes and have little run ins against them, maybe some mini-encounters along the way to introduce extra minibosses, present el bailador as an administrator on mining co. who tries to motivate his workers but theyre all lazy as frick, and he sees you as an opportunity to improve people's mood and maybe even expand the company with the publicity, putting you through improvised events along the way, but after his fight, he realizes that he's being too annoying and that's actually making his people feel worse on their work enviroment, so he decides to correct his ways and lets you go, feeling ashamed of being so selfish that he couldnt see the harm being done, boom, el bailador now has more personality and flaws than just being a random fricker fighting you for no reason.

In the true pacifist route of Undertale Yellow, I barely even touched the fight button apart from the dummy fight (where you have to shoot the hat off the dummy's head) and during Ceroba's fight (where she took no damage). By the time that I beat Ceroba, I was landing bullseyes consistently.
Imagine if Deltarune Yellow pacifist Cole wasn't a very good shot until a fight against an enemy with a shield allowed him to get lots of practice.

The boss after her is slightly easier though still hard, the final boss is bullshit but you get...something to work with.

Finally finished the Genocide route and while I really liked UTY at first, I feel pretty underwhelmed. The Neutral Route feels like it had the best idea about how to end things. while Pacifist has the clumsy handling of Clover’s suicide and Genocide just leads to some poorly-balanced battle where I most remember Martlet whining like an edgelord about how much you’re “pissing her off”. The Axis fight beforehand wasn’t much better with the “ooh I’m seething so bad my LV keeps increasing” moment.
Genocide route is where Yellow really shows it’s hand, and you realize it’s no better than “I rember you’re genocides” posts, they were so, so, close to doing something actually cool, and they dropped the ball, a reoccurring theme in this game.
Axis pissing off Clover so much his level of violence increased without doing anything was the best part of the route, it was the perfect amount of corny. The real sins of the genocide route are that it flip-flops on Clover's motivations.
He can spare Dalv, he'll stop attacking Martlet when he could just kill her in Snowdin, and he threatens but doesn't follow up when she upsets him in the Dunes, implying some kind of moral code, even if it's thin and potentially hypocritical.
But at the same time, you HAVE to shoot Martlet first in Snowdin, and you HAVE to shoot Starlo after he makes it clear he's not a threat and doesn't have it in him to attack you for real. This is the kind of cruelty you'd expect genocide Frisk to have, where the lack of a point to the violence is the point of the route.
Shooting Starlo being mandatory really, really sticks out as a bad choice that doesn't satisfy either end. If it was optional and you chose to kill him anyway it would have a similar narrative purpose to the Monster Kid encounter in UT, where you make it clear that you're not acting in self-defense or only killing evil monsters or whatever, you're here to kill everyone. But it's not a choice, it happens automatically if you decide not to fire.
I think it's why I keep thinking of the Retribution route bullshit I typed in the thread. It's a big missed opportunity to have Clover follow some kind of code, so I love the idea of separating genocide into a "moral code" route and an "indiscriminate violence" route.

Forgot to clarify that you can still shoot Starlo manually and get the Ceroba fight, but not doing anything will get you this new route
After this fight Clover would go through the genocide version of Steamworks, but the Axis fight would be replaced by Ceroba, who gets to Axis first via the route you take in pacifist and uses her barrier to give him, Chujin's last creation, the chance to escape. It probably would use similar patterns to her genocide fight but easier since she doesn't have the same motivation.
When her HP hits zero she becomes too tired to fight but keeps the barrier up for 10+ more turns.

I think of it as the Retribution route, where Clover truly wants justice and is only hunting down the ones responsible for the fate of the humans. Attacking him, a human, is intent to kill and he won't hesitate to fire back, though. The bosses are spared since they, unlike the normal enemies, are willing to give up or spare you

You chase Axis to the corridor of New Home. The serum slowly started really kicking in as Axis realized it only exists because of what he'd done it's my headcanon that Martlet's serum came from Chujin's experiments and I don't want to argue about it, and that he can't hide from his actions any longer.

For the first time in the playthrough, you shoot first.
To the confusion of you both, Axis puts up a barrier. He wasn't programmed to do this.
The final boss fight consists of wearing down the barrier (each revolver shot counts as does shooting during his attack phase), shattering it and getting in one volley before Axis puts it back up. Axis gives it his all at first, but halfway through the fight starts occasionally ACTing during his turn instead, trying to convince you that retribution won't bring anyone back. He decides near the end that it's alright if he dies as long as he atones by steering Clover off his destructive path.
The fight ends with the fuel of the serum running out and the battered robot going into low power mode. Much like pacifist Ceroba, Clover can shoot or give mercy.

Clover puts his gun away. Killing Axis won't save integrity, and killing Asgore won't save the others. Clover leaves (despite Flowey's protests) and an unspecified time later his SOUL is found in Waterfall. Nobody knows how it got there.

and I don't really know how to conclude it satisfyingly. I'm fine with it breaking Undertale "canon" like genocide, if Asgore dies or Undyne shows up and dies etc., but Clover should definitely die in the ending. The problem is Clover is strong enough and determined enough to put up a fight but not strong enough to one-shot Asgore, and having a real fight after the Axis final boss would suck. Any ideas?

It's not really hard so far because the game was made with a highschool level of coding, I don't think the new little event with the rock in the ruins will be difficult for example.
